Great scallops and sea bass. Recommend both. Serving and ambiance were great as expected.
We celebrated Mom’s 81st birthday and enjoyed every minute. Parking was plentiful at 4:30pm. The Hostess was warm and welcoming. The ambiance was the same. Our server, Carrie knew the menu, was engaging and helpful. She allowed us time to explore the menu, offering helpful recommendations. We ordered two appetizers, Shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon (hot) and the Crab tower (cold). We all chose the walnut, bleu cheese, field greens salad and all finished every bit. We ordered the 6oz. filet and a peppercorn crusted NY strip, both of which were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We shared a generous portion of loaded mashed potatoes and liked that the root vegetables which accompany the meals, we're not overcooked. Mom said the creme brulee was the best she has ever tasted. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We are already planning to return. Thank you for making this birthday so memorable.
Seriously expensive for just ok food. Service from Carrie was incredible and made our night.
Friendly and the service was great..
The food tasted good
Enjoyed a relaxing Thanksgiving dinner here. We had a reservation for 7 at 5:15 - seated promptly and greeted by our server. We ordered drinks and appetizer - calamari - which was enjoyed by all. For dinner 5 of 7 ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. Dinner came with salad or butternut squash bisque - both were verygood. The turkey was served with white and dark meat - too much food! The turkey was served with gravy and was too salty for all of us. Service was excellent for such a busy night!
The food and service exceeded my expectations. This visit was on Thanksgiving day and the restaurant was fully booked. My party of seven ordered the traditional Turkey meal and a couple people ordered salmon. Bothe choices were outstanding. The service was outstanding even considering the crowded conditions.
I love this place for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The whole family goes and orders what they please or a traditional meal. The food and service is excellent.
Service was excellent, food amazing and the environment was warm and friendly.
This is one of the worst experiences I’ve at an M&S Grill location. From Washington DC to Florida, we have never had a poor experience as we had tonight. The food was still respectable but I couldn’t but help if the service was so bad that it made the food taste that much better. Were we really trying to find some positives out of a really terrible situation.
Our server tonight was not M&S Grill caliber or expectations of Landry’s.
Food was solid as usual
Drink order did not arrive until the kids meals and appetizer came out. We asked about it when the kids meals and appetizer came out. He was shocked to hear us ask about our drinks. 8 minutes later after that, the drinks came out! One of our kids had already finished his meal and I finished my Clam Chowder.
No bread was offered or brought out to us? Think this was a first time ever that we never received bread as an offer.
One refill after 45 minutes at the table!!!
Wrong receipt was brought to the table!
No apologies for lateness of food or drinks!
Did not ask about Landry’s card nor offered it!
The server behind our table was the one we needed! She was managing her tables with authority and was up to date at all her tables as we watched since our server never came back.
Though we were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, the restaurant was obviously very busy (Saturday night prior to a holiday). The service itself was relatively slow and we only saw our actual server Tony at the time of placing our order and again when paying our bill. There was an exceptionally long period between finishing our soup and receiving our entrée (estimated 20-25 minutes). Our water glasses were not refilled at all throughout the entire meal. We were not provided with steak knives for our beef medallions but had to use the regular table knives. Our beef was requested as "medium" but was nearly "well done". The spinach/mushroom mix had an exceptionally heavy garlic content. On the other hand, the lobster bisque was excellent; the ambiance was pleasant and the young lady who initially seated us was exceptionally friendly and truly made us feel welcome. Overall grade, I'm sorry to say … only average.
Two recent visits to M & S, both Saturday evenings, yielded slightly different experiences. On the first visit, with a party of 6, the service was quite slow...but my swordfish dinner was the best swordfish I've ever had. On the second visit, the service was much more prompt, very friendly...and the food was good, but not as rave-worthy. However, we ordered just appetizers and salads at this visit. We will go back, for sure.
I had a reservation for 6pm, but was not called to the table until 6:15. We had 7pm plans so it made us a bit time crunched. My date had salmon which she said was good. My beer battered fish was unremarkable. Not bad, but far from the best I've had. The price seemed a bit high for what we got.
Our waiter Richard was fantastic! The food was terrific. My mom was made to feel like a queen on her 85th birthday, although the dim lighting and noise level were not optimal for her enjoyment.
We had a nice dinner evening with a friend visiting from Spokane WA. She enjoyed her meal and complimented on the service and ambiance.
We arrived for our reservation with 7 adults and a baby. They gave us a round table which was excellent for conversation. We were celebrating a 75th birthday. The service and food was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was excellent, service was excellent, atmosphere was great!!
Place wasn’t crowded but service was slow. Quality of food seems to have deteriorated so it will be off our list for a while
Medallions under cooked. Oysters were warm from the kitchen. Should be served cold as ordered. Bread was served near the end of the meal.
The server was very nice, but seemed to be covering too many tables.
Thank you for the free meal and my friends paid for hers. Both were excellent, our waitress was not the best that I have had there. We got there at 4:15 and we were seated at our table shortly thereafter. She took our wine order and it took almost 15 minutes to get it. I said we should get happy hour price since we had to wait. She said you can always go back to the bar for happy hour. Felt her comment was unnecessary. She than informed me the bar tender was very busy!
McC&S treated several of us veterans to a complimentary Veterans Day lunch, as they have in years past. It was excellent in all respect and greatly appreciated.
Expensive, but good. Repeatedly asked for the bread, but never arrived.
BEWARE: Servers try to push $7 carafes of water to bump up the bill. If they ask you if you'd like them to bring you a carafe of water, be sure that you clearly ask them if there is a cost involved and if it's tapwater or imported.
food was outstanding and we were surprised at how quickly it arrived. Matt our server was very helpful pleasant and attentive to our needs.
The annual Veterans Day Weekend free meal for veterans was the best ever at McCormick & Schmick’s this year! Although very busy, the staff took great effort to warmly greet and seat all veterans and their companions. The food was delicious, excellently preparer, and served hot. The wait staff’s attentiveness made it a memorable meal, with cos rant attention to filling water glasses, bringing extra bread, and engaging with our table (a fun experience)! Needless to say, the free meals for the two vets in our family were deeply appreciated. The vets were made to feel welcomed. Kudos to McCormick & Schmick’s!
This is one of my long time go-to restaurants. Always good food and service. Today I enjoyed their Veterans Day offering of a free meal to our country's military. Although a special menu for the occasion, there was a good variety of options and the serving size was the same as that for paying customers. I strongly recommend this establishment.
Great food and ambience of the place is 2 thumbs up
We were offered a table in the bar area ...we had 3 kids with us! Disappointing service!
We were celebrating a birthday! It was perfect! The food, the service, the whole experience.
Our seating area was very cold and apparently could not be adjusted. Disappointing.
Excellent place to have a great meal.
As usual, this is one of the better “go to” restaurants for me
Good food and a good birthday dessert!! Thanks.
We loved the experience. We will be back for sure!
Haven't been to Mc in awhile, they seemed to be trying to be
a little too eclectic for my taste, didn't pull it off very well here in Atlanta. I've eaten at several around the country the food was good but the service was excellent. Robert made our dinner special, be sure to ask for him at McCormick
We had a wonderful meal at this location. Our server was very attentive. This was a busy evening for the restaurant so it was rather noisy. All in all a good time was had by all. We will be returning to this location in the future.
Very noisy - difficult to carry on conversations. Had to wait in lobby to be seated, and had a door opened into me by employee; note there were many open tables. there was a large party seated near us. The dome acted as a sound concentrator so we could hear bar conversations and the bar sink sounded like a waterfall. Food was good but not as fresh as usual for McCormicks. The crab in the tower was slightly off. The king crab legs were partly warm and partly cold as if still frozen. Not many desserts.
In a word: OUTSTANDING!! When our hostess seated us she presented us with a persolized menu commerate our 50th anniversary. What a great touch. Our server, Mitch, was there for anything we needed. Even brought us a complimentary dessert. What a great way to end a perfect dinning experience. There was even a congratulatory card signed by the entire staff. Thanks again, especially Mitch, for making our evening so special. This has always been one of our favorite places, noe even more so.
Too much breading on fish and chips per 2 guests. I had blackened Rockfish was good a little mild for my taste but good.
The food was amazing. But there was an unpleasant situation with the server. One of the people in our party requested a seafood substitution (the original dinner ordered was a mixed grill or the trio, something like that). The server offered to substitute salmon for one of the options. This was supposed to be at no additional cost. But when I paid the tab later (I was unaware of the arrangement, it was extremely loud and I couldn't hear the original conversation) it turned out that we had been charged an extra $25 for salmon!
The person in our party who made this request, a medical professional with a very sharp mind and attention to detail, asked our server about this, and was told that there must have been "a miscommunication". A "miscommunication", yes, but there was no misunderstanding on our side.
I could have changed the gratuity amount but decided to just let it go, in the interest of not ruining the evening. But that really soured what should have been a very pleasant dining experience. If we ever come back to the restaurant, we will have to be extremely careful to avoid being overcharged. We usually just go to the bar for happy hour, this was our first time in the restaurant.
On the plus side, the server was very patient with my girlfriend, who often has trouble deciding what to get, so that's why I left a generous gratuity. But upon reflection later, I should have reduced the gratuity.
