Great service from Tracy!!!
Good for HH. Music too loud. Good amount of seating options.
We had amazing service as McCormick and Schmick’s. We have many dietary restrictions, and a sous chef came out, walked us through the menu, and helped customize dishes to our needs. Beyond that, the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. We’ll be sure to go back!!
Everything was great. It is speedy, but well worth it.
Restaurant was not prepared for Mother’s Day traffic. Service was slow and server inattentive. My mother’s entrees order wasn’t placed so on Mother’s day she didn’t get her meal until 15 minutes after the rest of our party’s food arrived. This was addressed by our server telling us it was a “miscommunication”. We didn’t order desert because my family said “it would take to long”. Disappointing experience on what should have been a special meal.
Our waiter was fantastic and really made Mother's Day special. We were pleasantly surprised by the chocolate covered strawberries we received as a Mother's Day gift. The food is always excellent and we love the atmosphere and stained glass dome. It was also really nice to receive a call the day before asking if the two steps would be a problem or if there was anything they could accommodate for our reservation for Mother's Day. Thank you!
I hadn't been in quite a while and was disappointed. The star was the Cesar salad. Still good with great dressing. The swordfish for all 3 people was overcooked. Nothing worse than dry, overcooked fish. My shrimp and grits was drowning in bbq sauce. I left most of it on the plate. The service was really spotty. Had probably 5 mistakes to the point of us just laughing. The wine was not chilled properly. I don't compare M&S to top end Portland restaurants but I do expect them to nail the basics. I remember them as better. Unfortunately, I probably won't be back.
Ambiance and service was terrible for a mothers day brunch at 9:45 am. Brunch options were limited better suited for a lunch. Left in about 10 minutes. Waiter brought bill for a coffee n grape juices ordered. 1 consumed other 2 items not consumed. I would fire someone with that attitude working for me
Very disappointing menu for a Mother’s Day “Brunch”. We visited at 9:30 am and for the most part they had their normal lunch/dinner menu of seafood and steak. 5 token brunch choices including 3 Eggs Benedict’s, a high calorie French Toast and some seafood item. Not a big variety of breakfast/brunch choices. Did not really feel like a salad, fish & chips or a steak at 9:30 am. All of their email promotions kept providing links to their menu but they never showed the special brunch menu. Would have gone somewhere else had we known. They should have not opened until 11:30 with that menu.
On a positive note, the food quality was good and the service was outstanding.
Brian was great. Every need attended to would request him in the future. Food was as expected delicious!
Great Fish And Chips.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
Nice place because it was built not long ago.
Excellent fresh oyster on half shell. Horseradish crusted steelhead also excellent
An excellent place for a special evening out. Everything everyone had was delicious. My mother has celiac disease and not only do they have a gluten free menu but they really did take extra care to avoid cross-contamination. The lobster bisque was amazing! I recommend ordering a side of their mushrooms, too. They had a few nice non-alcoholic beverages available, which I enjoyed.
Always one of our favorite places to eat! Super friendly staff, excellent food, best service in the area! Shared with friends this time, they loved it too!
It was my wife and I anniversary and it was so romantic. They made a menu with our names on it. They all signed a card. It was great. Thank you to the staff for making a great night.
The Fish Tacos were over fried and dry an very little fish. The coconut prawns were not cooked enough. Wait staff over booked seemed too busy,
Great place to eat in Portland, this restaurant one of 5 McCormick & Schmick’s in the Portland area. Great food, great service, upscale dining. Very popular with locals and tourist’s alike.
The service was impeccable and very conscientious. Food was great, environment was relaxing, and everything else was equally as enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Very nice Easter dinner with friends. Kathy and staff, server Zan were great.
Best EASTER Sunday experience in a restaurant EVER! Food was perfect and delicious. Service was thoughtful, professional, and friendly. Thank you M&SGrill.
Great service and our server was very attentive and the brunch selection was excellent! Keep it up!
The food on this particular visit wasn't up to par at all. The fries were over seasoned and in one dish the wasabe was hidden under something else green so my guest got a mouthful of wasabe, not a pleasant thing at all.
the food is always good, the building is attractive due to the rotunda.
I enjoyed myself.. relaxing but still with energy.. friendly waitress who was attentive despite the fact that she was busy! food as usual was excellent!
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated promptly by the hostess. The place was about 1/4 full and the bar area was almost totally empty. We sat, and we sat, and we sat, waiting for someone, anyone to come to our table, even just to fill the water glasses. No one. After ten minutes, I walked back to the entrance. No hostess there, either, even after I waited for several minutes. Some of the wait staff were talking amongst themselves at the service station, but no one seemed interested in actually helping a customer. When I got back to our table, no one had still come to them, so we left. I haven't walked out of a restaurant without being served in decades. I can't imagine why we would ever go back. There are a lot of other restaurants out there, but we've taken McCormick's off our list.
Family dinner for 4 on Saturday night - made reservations in advance and was seated within minutes of arriving. Food was excellent, salmon, crab, lobster tails w/ mash, apple pie dessert...and the service was fantastic - our server Zan was incredibly friendly and attentive. Would definitely return!
Our waiter got slammed by a large group, we successfully got help from another. Enjoyed the Crab and Shrimp Cakes.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and they went out of their way to make it a very special evening. I was truly touched by the attention to detail and amazing service.
Excellent food and outstanding service. Dining area was quite but not too many patrons that night either. Our dinners were outstanding with perfectly prepared entrees.
We will dine here again in the near future.
Birthday celebration felt very personal and the server was amazing!
We were celebrating my birthday and the staff could not have been more kind. I loved the personalized menu and the yummy lava cake. We all agreed we would be returning. Thank you.
A little wait but not too bad. Food was delicious and service was great
Rock steady as always. A very dependable experience, which is good.
Great food. Nice quiet romantic place. Ribeye's were perfect. Wauter was nice and attentive. Definitely recommend if your looking for a really good steak. Very expensive.
great service and good quality food. over priced though
Our server was fantastic and the bread is amazing but I was disappointed by the quality of some of the food. Especially the crab stuffed shrimp. The stuffing was so full of everything except crab I thought the menu should read "crab cake stuffed shrimp" So much was filler and very little crab and if I remember right the entree was $30.00 for 5 med. sized shrimp stuffed with crab cake filler.
We made reservations and were seated promptly. The special treatment for the birthday girl was appreciated from happy birthday printed on the menus, a birthday card signed by staff, and a complimentary dessert. The staff made the evening very enjoyable and were very diligent with ensuring our food allergies were taken into consideration. Thank you!
Overpriced “date night deal” including poor service from a young, inexperienced waiter together with an undercooked meal of lobster tails made for an altogether forgettable evening!
We really enjoy spending a quiet evening with good food and drink and an attentive without being intrusive wait staff at M&S.
They printed a special menu wishing my mom a happy birthday. Totally made her day, and was a shock to me, who made the reservation and just casually mentioned we would be celebrating a b-day when they called to confirm.
Our waiter Zan was amazing. If you can get his table, you will be thankful.
We had the Ribeye, clam chowder, salads, a shrimp bites appetizer and the stuffed salmon and it was all too delicious!
