McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I'm happy to report that McCormick & Kuleto's is just as outstanding as it has been for years now. The view of the Bay is timeless, and our lunch was just as good as the view. The Petrale Sole was delicious, the Stuffed Atlantic Salmon was cooked perfectly, and the Bloody Marys were delicious. And don't miss the homemade Butterscotch Pudding. Wow!
Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the whole experience was a joy.
Nice going, M&K!
We got robbed while we thought we where fine dining. Poor location food was ok our waitress needed to working at Dennys. Will never go back again. Need security camera and a feeling g of being safe when in that type of environment paying that kind of money .
Come for the view, stay for the food and drinks. Every time we visit San Francisco, we make it a point to come here. The view is beyond spectacular and the table service is high class. Of course, they specialize in seafood and they do it well. I had a mishap with a personal item and they couldn't have been more accommodating about getting it back to me, in short, they went above and beyond the call. Love this place!
Access to the restaurant was a pain. We stood outside 10 minutes after the official opening time and the door was locked. The bartender near the door shook his head and said no keys. By the time my elderly friends (2 persons age 90 using walkers) slowly walked down the stairs outside the restaurant to the alternate non disabled persons entrance an employee finally opened up the previous access door. We could see healthy young patrons pour into the upstairs entrance we were initially told was inaccessible. Too late for my friends ! Then we had to wait 10 minutes for our table to be prepared even though I made reservations via Ooen Table 3 weeks earlier. Then it took 30 minutes to get our food. Our server was very nice though and I know it's not the fault of the server.
Party of 7 for birthday and anniversary dinners.
3 of us have been here a couple of times before.
Best waiter we ever had. Hope we get him if we return.
I personally did not find my swordfish dish to be as good as other things I have had and
there was a lot of extra liquid on the plate from the spinach which need to be drained better.
I’m sad to say i felt extremely uncomfortable by the bartender on sunday11/5/17. he was rude, cussing, throwing menus, yelling in annoyance under his breath at customers and anytime anyone ordered he acted like we were completely inconviencing him. i’ve never heard a server cuss while working before and his presence was so intimidating and off putting my husband and i took our drinks and stood by the hostess stand just to get away from him. it was 1::30 in the afternoon mind you. everyone has bad days at work but this was just completely unacceptable.
I took my daughter and her boyfriend there and it was my birthday. The food was very slow to come out. My daughter’s steak was overcooked so we sent it back and the second one that came out was over cooked as well she ended up not even having dinner that night. Also we had mentioned it was my birthday and a special occasion and They said oh great will make arrangements for dessert and then nothing was ever done. The service was fair food was not that great not worth the price.
We noticed that these bigger restaurants are now in very very very small print, charging their customers an additional 6+ percent on their bill. It says, "This charge is for doing business in San Francisco". This is absolute bull. We'll never eat at these establishments again and we're in the Bay Area on a regular basis. The print is so small you actually have to look for it to find it. An example of how San Francisco is falling behind and trying to scam vacationers who don't know better.
Love the views overlooking the San Francisco Bay. When you book a group on Open Table, they personalize the menu with your name on it! Very impressive. Attentive staff, white linens on the tables. A wonderful place when you want a meal where you can enjoy quiet conversation and not be rushed. I had the Petrale Sole, and it was a generous serving and very delicious. My husband had the Cobb salad, and it was excellent too, though he requested more dressing. Their were nine of us at lunch. The bill was about $300, and just two of us had wine. A few had stopped at the bar before going to the table. The menu is varied, and it’s easy to find something you’ll love.
Made a booking for our last evening in San Francisco.
Given a great table looking out over the bay.
The waiter called Steve was extremely good . He explained the various courses and described the wines.
Service is always excellent in the US but our waiter was exceptional.
The food was very good and well presented.
Maybe a little pricey but it's a lovely restaurant in a great location .
Cocktails were a huge disappointment—not sure what they were aiming for but they missed it. Fish was fresh, otherwise I’d have given the meal 2 stars. Poor enforcement of even respectable dress code, tank tops and cut off shorts, really??? And I don’t think a waiter who just started eating seafood should really be giving advice at a seafood restaurant. Won’t come back. Farallon was much better!
We vacationed in California spending a couple of days in San Fran. We wanted a nice restaurant to go to and this was it! I requested a table with a bay view through open table and it was the best seat in the house. Our waiter was attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was delish!
