McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood Restaurant
Great view of the Bay and sunset. We were celebrating a birthday; the staff was very accommodating---they placed the cake topper and candles on the cake before presenting it. Anisthasia served our table with with quiet efficiency. The food was delicious and portioned appropriately. A great experience.
It was our 25th wedding anniversary. Wonderful evening at your restaurant . We were even surprised with printed menus for our special night. Food was fantastic !! We plan to return before heading home.
Great setting and views. Service and food was mediocre at best. Not recommended. We'll stick with north beach and embarcadero resturants in the future.
The crab tasted just like water no flavor to eat at all.
Food was awesome, great wine list. our waiter recommended fabulous appetizers, lobster and crab dips
Service wasn't great. The waitress was hot and cold when interacting with us. Maybe it is a cultural thing. She was from a different country. But she is here, maybe she should be nicer.
An amazing dinner with good service and great ambience.
Food was great. However the service wasn’t that great considering we were at the VIP table. Needs improvement in the service area...
We went for my fiance’s birthday dinner but we also made it to check out the private rooms for our possivle wedding dinner for July. Service was amazing and the food was even better.
It's a "Maybe". The food was excellent in flavor, and presentation. However, the room was a bit cold, which made it uncomfortable. But mostly the reason for the low review is due to the service. The waitress while competent was not friendly. When people are paying for a night out the expectation is for "authentically friendly service". More training is needed. Also, plates were cleared before one of our guest was finished which made it awkward. Etiquette is that plates should not be cleared unless motioned until the last guest is ready. Also it was not nice to see plates piled onto one another while at the table.
One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Because it’s in Ghirardelli Square, I bet some people assume this is a tourist spot. But it’s a wonderful place that real locals treasure. Great menu, great food, service, ambiance, and location. A Gem.
An old favorite of ours. Still definitely worth visiting for terrific views and excellent food, but, given the increased competition, could use a little step up in professionalism of service and freshening up of decor. Fish, salads and side dishes were excellent and fairly priced given that it’s waterside in San Francisco. But would have been nice if the bread was warm, there was a generous serving of butter, the server checked on us, and they got a new carpet. Not really a complaint, just that “really superior” is within management’s grasp if they wish.
As usual, place serves upto the expectation
Excellent food, service and view even in the evening! Right next door to Ghirardelli which is another plus.
Incredibly beautiful view, amazing bouillabaisse served by very attentive staff. Also surprised how inexpensive the meal was.
We absolutely loved dinner at McCormick. I made a note it will be Birthday, for party of 5, and they printed at the top of menu Happy Birthday and the Date - it was nice touch.
Everything what we ordered - were delicious: appetizers, main, dessert, aromatic wine and Champagne. We had beautiful view! Service was perfect. I would absolutely recommend this Restaurant for special occasion or just casual dinner. Reasonably priced considering great quality of food.
Had a wonderful lunch last week, great service and the food was perfect. Will be going back next time we are in the city.
Great food and great service! Our waiter was amazing
Excellent view and perfect location
We always enjoy McCormick and Kuletos. The food is great and the view is fabulous. It is one of our favorite places. The fish is always fresh and the service is superb.
Took my 13 year old grandson before a show and he loved the view of the water and loved his meal. He couldn't stop talking about it. My husband and I were impressed too, the service was great and we loved our meal selections. We will certainly go back.
I was in town with three co-workers this week who had never been to San Francisco. I chose to bring them to McCormick & Kuleto's because of the reputation and scenic environment, and although the scenery was spectacular, the food was not was was expected. For starters, one of our co-workers ordered a filet and was given a sirloin, and when it was brought to our servers attention, she said that it would be addressed with the manager. Initially she offered to take the meal off the tab, but then changed the offer to a free dessert? Additionally, the rib eye that I ordered was relatively dry and flavorless, even though it was cooked medium rare.
Although the waitress was funny and engaging, the fact that the manager never came to the table to address the error in meals, and changed his or her mind with regards to the "compensation" was disappointing. When spending $100+ per person for a meal, one expects the service level to be exemplary, and that simply wasn't the case with our dinner. If you're going to spend that much money on a meal, my recommendation would be to go to the Capital Grille.
Great service. Delicious food.
Food was bland, dishes we wanted to order weren’t available
Service was extremely slow..pretty sure our waiter was high as a kite.. food was delicious
I should preface this review with a bit of insight about our group, and that we are easy-going however we are used to eating good food. We are also used to eating good seafood.I would not, under any circumstance, recommend this restaurant. Our server was so poorly trained she was barely able to perform basic job functions. The food was just alright for the most part. My plate and one other person in my party’s dinner was completely inedible. Our server did not do a quality check, so I wasn’t even afforded an opportunity to return my plate. And even when they took away my dinner plate with two bites of food taken out of it no one thought to ask me if it was all right, and still proceeded to charge me the full amount of my dinner. I paid it because frankly having to explain how bad it was was going to take more energy than I had at the moment. I would not suggest going here. There are so many other restaurants in San Francisco that offer a quality food service andNo one should be subjected to what we experience that at McCormicks. In fact no one in our group bothered to complain because it just felt like it would fall on deaf ears
The server was great and very attentive. The food was amazing and very filling. It was a bit of a disappointment because my dad received his food last and late (after everyone finished their meals) and it was his birthday. He rushed to eat because we were already done and waiting. We didn’t order dessert but I did put it was his birthday and he didn’t receive anything. I would definitely come back though.
Great experience! We had a large party (14), they accommodated us in every way they could.
Great crab and lobster dip and truffle fries. We tried a whole bunch of bloody Mary’s. What a great deal!
This was my 2nd time dining here and sadly it was not the best experience. Our server Anastasia was horrible. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes before she arrived, and that was only after a server (Daniel) nearby noticed her absence and alerted a hostess to our long wait. 15 minutes after being seated we finally received cups of water, delivered by Daniel and not by our assigned server Anastasia. I ordered a virgin Mojito through Anastasia, but received an alcoholic version instead, which I returned. Thankfully I received the correct drink the second time around. We ordered the Lobster and Dungeness Crab Dip as an appetizer. The dip itself was quite tasty but the Crostini bread intended for dipping was burned. My husband’s steak was cooked medium-rare instead of medium-well as was requested. Daniel, not Anastasia, was the one who checked in on us upon the arrival of our food and returned the steak to the kitchen. The returned steak was cooked properly. On the brighter side, the clam chowder was delicious. I ordered the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, which was cooked to perfection. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies were also very good. The main issue with our dining experience was the terrible service provided, or not provided by Anastasia. On the other hand Daniel was amazing! He continued to check on us throughout the entire night and apologized for our long delays. We ended up giving him a tip, even though he was not our assigned server.
Great location, great ambience, my standby for dining in Fisherman's Wharf. Highly recommend the crab cakes!
Great food so no complaints at all! Also had a great view since we were seated by the window so we got to enjoy the sunset.
Ambiance and food quality were excellent! Lunch service when it was not crowded was ok.
Would I go here again? Absolutely. Restaurant view is absolutely the BEST and food quality was excellent.
Great overall experience from the food to the ambience. Our waiter for the night was charming as well, will definitely be back soon.
Third time that we’ve gone to this restaurant and each time that we have gone we have put in the notation box ,it is for a special occasion with a special request and further the restaurant calls to confirm the reservation and when they have done that I have reiterated the request made on the reservation and have asked that it please be considered .
Each time I’ve been told it is noted and when I have arrived any request made has been completely disregarded.
We are sat in a totally different area, and a different part of the restaurant. I am a native San Franciscan and I went to this restaurant when it was maxwells Plum before it became McCormick Coletto’s I am familiar with every part of the restaurant , each room and the seating areas . In my reservation request I’m very specific about a few different areas that I would enjoy sitting.
I think this restaurant is very conditioned to dealing with several tourists so they do not have any type of management that treats their guests as if they are family and almost feels as if we’re treated more like cattle
The word hospitality is completely lacking within the management of this restaurant. It has been consistently the same each time we go. I have a more positive experience when I am upstairs in the bar area far more than I have in the restaurant. This last reservation once again we had to state that we had requested a certain table and why were we being sat all the way in the back room in the farthest corner of the restaurant which was not even one of the two requests that were made. I was told that they were going to be considered as we would be sitting at one or the other when the reservation was confirmed by phone. The manager then came over to the table moved us with no apology or care. There are several several other establishments that have outstanding service with a similar ambience and price point I recommend dining at one of those.
I just didn’t like the group of host on the fact that there was no professionalism all throughout the end when i asked if do parking validation. They just kind of brushed me off but one of the servers I guess heard me asking offered hers. Other than that food snd service is great
Great service on Valentines Day. Only one farm raised fish available. This is a fish restaurant. Even on Valentines Day there should be some more fish on the menu.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was good, although not terrific. Setting and ambience were great.
Expensive food, not that great
Very nice as it always is for fine dining.
