Great food and great service! Our waiter was amazing
Excellent view and perfect location
We always enjoy McCormick and Kuletos. The food is great and the view is fabulous. It is one of our favorite places. The fish is always fresh and the service is superb.
Took my 13 year old grandson before a show and he loved the view of the water and loved his meal. He couldn't stop talking about it. My husband and I were impressed too, the service was great and we loved our meal selections. We will certainly go back.
I was in town with three co-workers this week who had never been to San Francisco. I chose to bring them to McCormick & Kuleto's because of the reputation and scenic environment, and although the scenery was spectacular, the food was not was was expected. For starters, one of our co-workers ordered a filet and was given a sirloin, and when it was brought to our servers attention, she said that it would be addressed with the manager. Initially she offered to take the meal off the tab, but then changed the offer to a free dessert? Additionally, the rib eye that I ordered was relatively dry and flavorless, even though it was cooked medium rare.
Although the waitress was funny and engaging, the fact that the manager never came to the table to address the error in meals, and changed his or her mind with regards to the "compensation" was disappointing. When spending $100+ per person for a meal, one expects the service level to be exemplary, and that simply wasn't the case with our dinner. If you're going to spend that much money on a meal, my recommendation would be to go to the Capital Grille.
Great service. Delicious food.
Food was bland, dishes we wanted to order weren’t available
Service was extremely slow..pretty sure our waiter was high as a kite.. food was delicious
I should preface this review with a bit of insight about our group, and that we are easy-going however we are used to eating good food. We are also used to eating good seafood.I would not, under any circumstance, recommend this restaurant. Our server was so poorly trained she was barely able to perform basic job functions. The food was just alright for the most part. My plate and one other person in my party’s dinner was completely inedible. Our server did not do a quality check, so I wasn’t even afforded an opportunity to return my plate. And even when they took away my dinner plate with two bites of food taken out of it no one thought to ask me if it was all right, and still proceeded to charge me the full amount of my dinner. I paid it because frankly having to explain how bad it was was going to take more energy than I had at the moment. I would not suggest going here. There are so many other restaurants in San Francisco that offer a quality food service andNo one should be subjected to what we experience that at McCormicks. In fact no one in our group bothered to complain because it just felt like it would fall on deaf ears
The server was great and very attentive. The food was amazing and very filling. It was a bit of a disappointment because my dad received his food last and late (after everyone finished their meals) and it was his birthday. He rushed to eat because we were already done and waiting. We didn’t order dessert but I did put it was his birthday and he didn’t receive anything. I would definitely come back though.
Great experience! We had a large party (14), they accommodated us in every way they could.
Great crab and lobster dip and truffle fries. We tried a whole bunch of bloody Mary’s. What a great deal!
This was my 2nd time dining here and sadly it was not the best experience. Our server Anastasia was horrible. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes before she arrived, and that was only after a server (Daniel) nearby noticed her absence and alerted a hostess to our long wait. 15 minutes after being seated we finally received cups of water, delivered by Daniel and not by our assigned server Anastasia. I ordered a virgin Mojito through Anastasia, but received an alcoholic version instead, which I returned. Thankfully I received the correct drink the second time around. We ordered the Lobster and Dungeness Crab Dip as an appetizer. The dip itself was quite tasty but the Crostini bread intended for dipping was burned. My husband’s steak was cooked medium-rare instead of medium-well as was requested. Daniel, not Anastasia, was the one who checked in on us upon the arrival of our food and returned the steak to the kitchen. The returned steak was cooked properly. On the brighter side, the clam chowder was delicious. I ordered the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, which was cooked to perfection. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies were also very good. The main issue with our dining experience was the terrible service provided, or not provided by Anastasia. On the other hand Daniel was amazing! He continued to check on us throughout the entire night and apologized for our long delays. We ended up giving him a tip, even though he was not our assigned server.
Great location, great ambience, my standby for dining in Fisherman's Wharf. Highly recommend the crab cakes!
Great food so no complaints at all! Also had a great view since we were seated by the window so we got to enjoy the sunset.
Ambiance and food quality were excellent! Lunch service when it was not crowded was ok.
Would I go here again? Absolutely. Restaurant view is absolutely the BEST and food quality was excellent.
Great overall experience from the food to the ambience. Our waiter for the night was charming as well, will definitely be back soon.
I just didn’t like the group of host on the fact that there was no professionalism all throughout the end when i asked if do parking validation. They just kind of brushed me off but one of the servers I guess heard me asking offered hers. Other than that food snd service is great
Great service on Valentines Day. Only one farm raised fish available. This is a fish restaurant. Even on Valentines Day there should be some more fish on the menu.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was good, although not terrific. Setting and ambience were great.
Expensive food, not that great
Very nice as it always is for fine dining.
Everything was satisfactory except for the table we were given was small and limited movement.
Unfortunately, we were unaware that for the Valentines holiday the restaurant offers limited menu that doesn’t include their famous dishes like the Ciappinno...we traveled a long distance to be celebrated at this special place and we were disappointed.
This was an off night for McCormick & Kuleto’s.
We are regular customers and that is why, even though we gave a poor review, that we recommend the restaurant.
Instead of remaining true to its quality, they felt the need to crowd the restaurant with additional tables to accommodate the crowds, play louder music that didn’t lend itself to the usual classy feel of the restaurant, didn’t dim the lights enough to accentuate the amazing views from the wonderful picture windows and had a menu that was lacking in selection, presentation and enjoyment.
All this to say that when McCormick & Kuleto’s sticks to it’s winning script, it’s an amazing experience, but our recommendation is to avoid holidays and special events there.
Four of us were celebrating a birthday on Valentines Day. We are all steak lovers and looked forward to a full menu in a great location. When we arrived we discovered that the menu was limited because of Valentine’s Day. And only a filet mignon as a steak option? What a shame...the food itself was mediocre. Could have cooked the filet better at home and saved the money. Disappointed to say the least. Our server Peter, made the time enjoyable as he could and was the best memory of our otherwise bland dinner.
The only issue I had was the fact that the vegetables & the macaroni & cheese were cold, while the entree was hot. Need to coordinate food so all is hot at the same time. Waitress was able to have the food heated for us.
I am a regular (and a Landry’s Club member). I love coming to this restaurant: great value for the food, good presentation, perfect service, world class views. I brought my husband this visit for Valentine’s Day.
Great service , good food and welcoming ambience ! Overall great experience !
It was a very good experience and I enjoyed the food a lot.
Excellent service and the food was outstanding. We will defintely return.
We absolutely love coming here. Peter was our server and was very attentive for our party of 12. As usual the food was delicious and the view was great. We will be back!
Figured a setup with a long table would be hard for the group to talk, I requested a round table for seating of 8 and was placed perfectly in a corner nook. Our dinner was very good and to our likening. Ordered: ribeye with veggies and garlic mash, scallops, Jake’s Famous Bouillabaisse, calamari, and the Smoked Beef Carpaccio. Everything was cooked to perfection and service from Peter was on par. Thanks for a great evening with friends and great food!
I had made a reservation for a table of 8 people. I’ve been 2 this restaurant before several times & my husband has even had his office party there.
But the food and service has gone DOWN hill! Service was extremely slow, fries cold and one of the most expensive seafood dishes did not come out hot! We had to look for our server to get refills on water.
And WORSE of all, the server when collecting dishes, somehow SPLASHED KETCHUP onto one our guests pants!!!
Aside from the good views, for over $200.00 bill...I did NOT have a good dining experience & will NEVER return to this restauant or recommend it.
We had a wonderful experience, except my date was disappointed we didn’t get the window seats I requested
High quality seafood and steak. Several items sold out unfortunately.
Wonderful date night and AMAZING view!
We have eaten at this restaurant four times. All other times everything was good to very good. This time we had terrible service. We had to ask for water several times. I ordered another glass of wine with the meal. Our waitress was going to get it as another person was clearing the table. My fish was overcooked, dry, and had less than a teaspoon of sauce. Overall, very unsatisfying.
Unfortunately, the indifferent and extremely slow service took away from what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.
Regarding service, when we asked for recommendations, the waiter said “it’s all on the menu “ and when I ordered a glass of wine before our meal came the wine didn’t come until after we finished.
Haven’t been here for dinner in years. Not very busy on a Friday night. Food was not good. My mashed potatoes cool under some so-so tuna. Cioppino was pretty good. Nice service,
