From the time we walked through the door, the staff was wonderful! Our server, Bill, was fantastic! He was funny, talkative and knew the menu backwards and forward.
The oysters, lobster bisque, sea bass and cheesecake were delicious! Even the bread was warm and the butter was soft and spreadable.
The ambiance was so special. We had a window seat. Also there was a VIP plaque and a birthday menu for my husband. Bill rolled it up with a bow for my husband to take home.
We will come back and I will tell my friends about this restaurant
The views are beautiful but food quality and service are mediocre. Years ago this was a very reputable restaurant but the quality has greatly declined. The fried calamari were too oily for example, the poke salad was bland and for the first time, I have to say the bread wasn’t as fresh as I remember it. It’s a tourist spot I get it but I used to be better, for the locals to enjoy as well.
Good food, service reasonably fast, and great view.
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and arrived a little earlier than our scheduled appointment, but were seated immediately. The waiter presented us with our menus and gave us time to review the menu before asking about appetizers and drinks. A moderate amount of time elapsed and he was back to take our drinks and main course orders.
I ordered crab cakes and my wife ordered a Ceaser Salad as appetizers, which were both delicious. I ordered two glasses of Mumms Brut Champagne for dinner and an 18yr Macallan Whiskey. My wife ordered Salmon stuffed with Crab and Shrimp with Broccolini and I ordered a 13oz. Ribeye, both with Broccolini. My steak was cooked as I requested and my wife enjoyed her Salmon. I thought the Broccolini did not have enough flavor as a bit of butter or seasoning would have been welcomed. The seasonal peppers served were a tasty addition to the meal.
After dinner we were presented with a complimentary slice of Cheesecake with a strawberry glaze and fresh strawberries.
Our waiter was attentive to our needs at all times and my wife and I left the restaurant appreciating the experience that we just had.
The only recommendation that I would have for management is to consider blocking a room for large groups as it is close to impossible to have a private conversation with your partner when there is so much noise coming from a party that has two tables celebrating a birthday and they are understandably enjoying their party members at the expense of those not in their party.
Great dinner but they said we were a “ No Show”
Excellent atmosphere. Service was great (thank you Mei). Food delicious. They were able to accommodate food allergies and provide a wonderful experience.
Our favorite place to take out of town of town guests. Great service, food and ambiance.
M&K is one spot that my family and I go to celebrate special occasions. Last night was 30 years wedding anniversary. We arrived and were seated promptly.
Our waitress received us with a smile and her attention to service was above what we have experienced lately in San Francisco. This was the first time since the opening after the pandemic. The place was clean and the view of the sunset was flawless.
We noticed that the menu has changed but still we’re able to get some of our favorites; the crab cakes as appetizer was outstanding. The frito misto still pleased our palate.
The wine list was still good. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne to celebrate our special day.
Our mains were better than good. I ordered grilled salmo and my wife the new specialty crab and shrimp stuffed salmon . Both were a bit above good. My disappointment came with the mashed potatoes, tasted like boxed mashed potatoes like the ones we ate at school.
Other than that nice and enjoyable evening.
Nice location that has let their food fall well below expectations for the price they are charging.
The view from our table was everything! We were seated promptly and overall the food was great. I personally had the chilean sea bass which tasted fresh and the vegetables were cooked just right. Our server seemed as though she was new and was unfamiliar with the menu and couldn't advise on a good pairing of wine so she has a bit to learn but was very nice. My family and I will definitely be back!
Great time celebrating my sons 11th bday.
Great dining experience. Excellent food and terrific service
Great restaurant service and view.
We celebrated 46 year anniversary at a table with view of SF Bay and Alcatraz. This restaurant is first class in all categories. Excellent seafood with nice selections of pasta and red meat.
Always enjoy the food and the view! The birthday menu was a nice touch, thanks!
Fantastic restaurant. Great food with just phenomenal taste. Seafood is so fresh. Filet mignon was excellent. Chilled oysters. Clam chowder Crab cakes. Stuffed salmon with crab and shrimp which was the chefs special was amazing. Great desserts. Drinks. Ambiance was very elegant with great views of the bay. The service is absolutely the best. Very professional with great positive vibes. Joe took great care of us tonight. Thank you for a great evening.
Been to this Restaurant 4 or 5 times.. The last one in July 2013 and the one before on September 1999. It’s still modern and nice. A great option for lunch or dinner in Girardelli area.
Great view, great food, and great service.
Service was great. View is awesome
Thank you for my birthday experience in San Francisco to be absolutely wonderful. Our meal was everything I was expecting and more
The restaurante location and vienes are amazing, food esa just OK the oysters are the Stars of the night and the wine list. Service It is was. Just ok.
Very nice late lunch with wife and kids (first time eating inside a restaurant with kids in over a year due to pandemic). Food and view were wonderful.
Good food and excellent service.
Good food and service
Excellent food and service
We’ve never had a bad seat or a bad meal.
The customer service was terrible. I have been to this restaurant a few time and I have always loved it. I went for my birthday and it was a terrible experience which was truly disheartening. We sat for 45 minutes waiting for a waiter to even come and offer water. The first guy I was able to ask, with an attitude said your not my table your waiter is coming. Then I spoke to another guy not sure if he was the manger he never stated his name he was in a rush and told me you will have a waiter. Finally a woman comes up to our table as our waiter and she stated I didn’t know you were my table. She barely checked on us after we finally received our food. I don’t know if this all happened because it was a week day. Customer service should be great no matter what day it is. To be treated like that especially on my birthday is not acceptable.
First scene is the breathtaking view.
The employees are very courteous from beginning to end.
After a delectable meal and appetizer, always make room for dessert.
Even though the place seemed full of customers, it was still a calming setting.
Using my Landry's rewards was convenient for this special occasion.
Limited menu. No wild caught seafood. Waiter told us it was all farm raised fish. What the heck?
Just be aware of what you are buying. Fun view and ambiance but now is just a tourist trap.
Seated with the best view!
It was my birthday dinner and all my request granted. Thank you!!!
Delicious foods and worth the cost.
Peter, our server is very warm.
Will come back again here when we visit San Francisco again!
Our first time here. The food, service, and ambiance all fantastic. Will definitely come here again.
Great location with view. Excellent service, I ordered the Sea Bass which was a bit to salty. My partner’s Salmon was good.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We were on vacation from NY and it was not only our first trip post COVID but our first trip also dealing with very strict dietary restrictions on doctor’s orders. The staff accommodated all of our requests and they were so pleasant and friendly. Thank you for making our dining experience great! It was a huge part of what made our trip a success.
For the price food is not great. Salmon quality was very bad. And shrimp scampi was sour like lemon. The Dessert was burn and last the mojitos were horrible.
The service was great. Staff was friendly. Great view.
Food was great. My mom is in a wheelchair and when my moms boyfriend was trying to get her in the little elevator lift thing they had so they can exit someone rushed over to help him get her in I appreciated that thank you.
That was our first time coming here. I was looking for places to take him for Father’s Day and the place I was going to take him was full and didn’t have anything till Wednesday when I checked online. I came on open table to see what was available and I saw this place. I had to call to let them know we were running a little late by 10 mins because of parking and trying to find the place but they were nice and understood. We had a nice view of the ocean. When the food came out we asked if they could lower blinds a little because of the sun and they did. It was a nice experience and everyone enjoyed the food.
Trying to find parking was hectic but it’s a busy area and we were able to park on the garage. My partner had left her phone in the car and I ended up going to grab it because of what we see on the news but it was a while and sat in the front and no one broke in the car so the parking garage there is safe too.
Thank you for a great experience
I usually take pictures for my reviews but I only took one of the view. The food was great though I didn’t take pictures because I wanted to be in the moment with my family but I definitely recommend this place!
If you have someone in a wheelchair just make sure to go to the elevator by parking. We got confused since it’s our first time there because to enter on the other side is stairs.
Granddaughters birthday and graduation from high school ask all of us being able to eat out again.
Food: completely overcooked ribeye, dry stuffed salmon with almost no crab meat. The mashed potatoes were so salty they were almost inedible.
Service: never EVER got a refill on water, never got asked if our food was ok or if we needed anything, and got attitude when we asked for a new side of potatoes to make up for the salty ones.
Management resolution: chastise me because they were busy, told me he would take care of the bill, and not only charged us for the new potatoes but only took off the steak. Didn’t offer to bring us any new food.
We ate our food and left before I couldn’t be polite anymore. We will not be returning. I made a point to tell the manager that I understood they were busy, but when we were paying $40+ per plate I expect my water to be full and my server to ask if everything was ok, his response was “you see we are busy, I’m busy I’ll take care of your check”
The view was amazing. That is just about the extent of the positive review. The host seemed bored but at least had a personality. Our waitress barely smiled and spoke barely above a whisper. The soup was good as was the bread. The main course was underwhelming for the price. Side dishes were almost the same on everyone’s plates although we all had different entrees. The broccolini was barely cooked. The protein was flavorless. We were given a discount because the beer we ordered was out of stock and did get a free dessert for a birthday celebration which was yummy.
Don’t waste your money if you want the view. Go grab a pizza down the street then walk to the waterfront for the view. Sorry folks.
The view is amazing - looking out on the bay. The lobster was delicious.
Gorgeous view and excellent food!!!
