Excellent food and excellent service.
The only complaint was that it was cold in the restaurant. Otherwise, the service and food were great.
The view makes it all worth it, the service and ambience is excellent.
Incredibly limited menu for a “seafood” restaurant. No lobster, other than a bisque 4-5 main items. Ordered the prawn linguini with prawns. Very bland. No flavour at all. Really disappointing experience. Service was ok, nothing special, again considering the level of restaurant. Had better food at cheaper places in San Francisco.
We had a reservation (5 people) and were seated immediately and then it took 20 minutes (not exaggerating) for a waiter to take a drink order. We asked several staff members for help getting our waiter as they passed our table, which was near the kitchen, so it was a lot of traffic. Our reservation notes we were there for a special occasion but we still had a bad table (orphaned table near kitchen and restrooms) despite other available better tables. Food was good, service was sub-par. Even after taking a drink order, it took a long time to bring the drinks, and only after that did our waiter arrive to introduce himself. We told him we had to leave for a show. My salad came out with my entree. My sons side dish was brought after he was 1/2 finished with his steak. As a result of the slow service, we were late to our next engagement. Frustrating, particularly given the cost.
Perfect setting for a nice dinner.
Food was great, service is excellent. Highly recommend this place.
My family and I a terrible experience at this restaurant. The hostess who seated us was very rude, entitled, bad mannered, and very incompetent. She ruined the rest of the evening for us. The food was so-so nothing spectacular. We were given the worst table in the restaurant so couldn't even enjoy the views. Our server was nice and friendly. Again, she was hugely incompetent but at least she was nice. For eg We ordered champagne, and after pouring us our drinks, she just kept the bottle on the table without even chilling it. Anyhoo, NEVER coming here ever again and I truly hope they shut down. The world does NOT need rude folks.
I would like to say that our food was great and the server was great.
The only reason that I am very disappointed is that the front maitre d was very unwelcoming. First of all we’ve made this reservation weeks ahead. When we got there we asked if we could sit by the window or close to the buffet line and not the bar.
She said everything was reserved, we have reservation too. There were 2 open tables for 4 and it remained empty the entire time we were there. Then more tables opened up. It is very disappointing that we cannot be accommodated when there were tables available. The worst part is that she wasn’t nice at all like she was annoyed that we asked.
She had a short bob blonde hair. I don’t think she should be someone who should run the front. Gary Danko , Spruce and Zuni has so much better service.
We are paying customers and it’s not like we were rude, we asked nicely.
Service was horrible and the food was not worth the money. I will never return or recommend anyone to this restaurant.
We eat here regularly and the food is great. We weren’t too happy with the Thanksgiving Buffet. Taste overall was bland, the crab was dry, the turkey had no taste, the gravy was watered down. The desserts were cheap.
The prawns were fresh, mashed potatoes were good. Honestly I would have preferred ordering from your regular menu.
On the other hand Kim our server was amazing, attentive, humorous, and delightful. The rest of the staff was great also.
It was a nice experience because my Wife and I usually spend time traveling between two thanksgivings so it was great for convenience to go just to one and also for our parents to take a break from cooking all day. The only thing that we may felt a little iffy on was that my wife and mom experience a little bit of rudeness when they were asking to see if we can have a different table. I believe it was the main host but I was not in that encounter. Our main waitress was actually a delight to help us with drinks and accommodations. I believe her name was Linda, she was great! Overall it was a great time to spend with both our families and to have less stress of cooking and traveling.
The Thanksgiving buffet far exceeded my expectations! Delicious food with lots of variety. Bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary’s! The view...the location? Unbelievably wonderful! We actually arrived much earlier than our booking time and were graciously accommodated (which we did not expect). And the staff was so kind with my elderly parents - pointing out a lift could use to reach the buffet on lower level and a female server actually walked my mom over to the restroom. Since it was a buffet, not much table service was required yet the male server in our section was always in sight and readily available when we asked for anything “extra” like a glass of wine, soda or butter. I was especially impressed when my father asked if there was drawn batter for the crab legs - our server apologized that no, actually that wasn’t and could bring butter but when he returned-alas! Drawn butter! That’s truly classy service! I hope to come back here for Thanksgiving in 2020.
Awesome Thanksgiving brunch!
Overall experience was very good just a couple comments on the food that was on the buffet.
The oysters on the half shell were not very appetizing and the crab legs were dry inside
Sylvia was a Super Star Host. The waitress was attentive-the hospitality was service deluxe. Everyone of the staff was kind and jovial. The food was delicious. The ambiance was terrific. The waterfront view from our table was Amazing!
Thank You McCormick & Kuleto’s!
This was our first time having brunch at McCormicks for Thanksgiving. The service and food was amazing. Our server Steven was attentive to us and so kind hearted. The selection of food was delicious. The California roll was fresh and it was made with real Dungeness crab. You can not beat that. I would come back again.
Thanksgiving buffet was well laid out and well-staffed. We enjoyed good service and the food was good with a nice variety of choices.
Setting was beautiful and we were seated immediately, however, the table for our group of 10 (in a round table by the window) was so small that we could barely get in and out.
The real disappointment was the quality of food — the clam chowder was inedible due to an overwhelming amount of tarragon (and also tarragon all over the steamed broccoli, which was unwelcome) and the poke was so salty my daughter could not eat it at all. They made quick substitution when we complained, but it was too many errors in basic seasoning 101 that it was not great for a $400 bill. Also didn’t care for the snippy attitude of the waitstaff. We won’t be back.
Fantastic view. Food and service never disappoint. Some say it’s expensive but I say it’s a great value because location location location! And some of the best seafood appetizers ever
Not only our Cioppinos were perfect, but our children fish were fresh and perfectly cooked. Anna, our waitress, was excellent. Walking on Fisherman's wharf, we discarded all other fish restaurants before finding this place that is clearly above the others in Cuisine sharpness.
We had a dinner party of eight with a reservation. We were seated promptly before our reservation time. Our waitress was extremely polite and attentive. Our food was delivered quickly. All the dishes came out together and were fresh, hot, and delectable. The view of San Francisco Bay is awesome. It was a fabulous evening for everyone in our group.
Fun experience. Prompt seating by hostess; window table with a view; attentive waiter, great service. Very good food - yummy crab cake and cheese plate, though ribeye steak was a little underdone for medium. Overall good dining experience.
As always, a fabulous experience. This place never disappoints...
It was a little pricy & somewhat very slow service, the ambience was AMAZING, just wasn’t what we originally thought it would be!
A great lunch experience with amazing views. The staff was great, and so welcoming!
First we were seated 15 minutes early and the waiter was very friendly and professional. The waiter explained the menu and gave us enough time to make our decision. The food was great as well as the drinks. I enjoyed everything and will be going back soon.
Dinner was wonderful although when I originally set up the reservation. Open table site has a option to enter a special request to the restaurant. I entered it was a special occasion and that I also wanted a booth. Although when I arrived they were preparing a table. I explained to the host that I requested a booth. He was very nice and gave us a booth. Which made me think why is there an option to enter a request if they are not informed?.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Usually there once a year only this time it's been 4. Still wonderful. Surprised my husband for his birthday with a trip from San Diego. After 4 years it's just as awesome as it was the last time. Food was fantastic and we had a window table that added to the romantic occasion. Can't wait to go back again and it will be sooner than 4 years!
We celebrated our 44th anniversary here on November 15. The food was delish - I had the chioppino and my husband had the shrimp scampi. The service was great and they even gave us champagne and dessert on the house!
Well we arrived at the restaurant for our 8:00 reservation after a cool evening at Alcatraz, I had eaten there about seven years prior in the formal area with a scenic view so I thought that I would bring my two daughters there for dinner.
We were casually dressed as we had been exploring, not sure if that was why we were escorted to a room in the back, I had mentioned I was cold and thought maybe at first that was why we were brought there but the hostess sat me by a window that was cold, I didn’t complain at the time maybe I should have.
We live in Calgary, Alberta and are use to dining in fine restaurants after a trip to the Canadian Rockies. If we are home we do dress for an evening out but we felt that we were just put in this area out of the way of clients that were in business dress. The food was wonderful and the waiter was nice enough but I certainly did not like the dark room we where seated at in the back by ourselves despite the many empty tables we walked by in the main light dining area.
Nice luncheon menu. Beautiful bay views!
Little bit on the pricey side, but the food is good and the views of the bay are spectacular! This is a great place to bring a date.
Veterans Day and this fine establishment provided a great main course to veterans. Hats off to the owners, managers and staff who made this happen for veterans like Me!
There was a mistake in our reservation. There is no 10AM reservation. The restaurant opened at 11:30am but Open Table made a 10AM reservation. The staff was accommodating and was able to sit us down within 15 minutes on a busy day. Veterans Day parade had just finished. The grilled salmon was wonderful. We split the garden salad which was very good. The waitress was very attentive and ensured our order came promptly since we had another appointment.
We had a poor experience at McCormick and Kuletos from the start. We were a party of 6, 3 adults/3 children. We asked for a window table and did not get it. Our waitress was inattentive and unfriendly. She took one adults beverage order and left. We had to find someone else to get the rest of the drinks ordered. One adult asked for no mushrooms in their dish, it came with mushrooms. One adult asked for bearnaise sauce on their steak and they didn’t get it. Two kids had Mac and cheese and it was awful. Hard, dry and not tasteful. We were disappointed in our experience, wouldn’t recommend it and won’t go back.
Our server had very few stops to our table.
