Great crab and lobster dip and truffle fries. We tried a whole bunch of bloody Mary’s. What a great deal!
Great location, great ambience, my standby for dining in Fisherman's Wharf. Highly recommend the crab cakes!
Ambiance and food quality were excellent! Lunch service when it was not crowded was ok.
Would I go here again? Absolutely. Restaurant view is absolutely the BEST and food quality was excellent.
Great overall experience from the food to the ambience. Our waiter for the night was charming as well, will definitely be back soon.
I just didn’t like the group of host on the fact that there was no professionalism all throughout the end when i asked if do parking validation. They just kind of brushed me off but one of the servers I guess heard me asking offered hers. Other than that food snd service is great
Great service on Valentines Day. Only one farm raised fish available. This is a fish restaurant. Even on Valentines Day there should be some more fish on the menu.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was good, although not terrific. Setting and ambience were great.
Expensive food, not that great
Very nice as it always is for fine dining.
Everything was satisfactory except for the table we were given was small and limited movement.
Unfortunately, we were unaware that for the Valentines holiday the restaurant offers limited menu that doesn’t include their famous dishes like the Ciappinno...we traveled a long distance to be celebrated at this special place and we were disappointed.
This was an off night for McCormick & Kuleto’s.
We are regular customers and that is why, even though we gave a poor review, that we recommend the restaurant.
Instead of remaining true to its quality, they felt the need to crowd the restaurant with additional tables to accommodate the crowds, play louder music that didn’t lend itself to the usual classy feel of the restaurant, didn’t dim the lights enough to accentuate the amazing views from the wonderful picture windows and had a menu that was lacking in selection, presentation and enjoyment.
All this to say that when McCormick & Kuleto’s sticks to it’s winning script, it’s an amazing experience, but our recommendation is to avoid holidays and special events there.
Four of us were celebrating a birthday on Valentines Day. We are all steak lovers and looked forward to a full menu in a great location. When we arrived we discovered that the menu was limited because of Valentine’s Day. And only a filet mignon as a steak option? What a shame...the food itself was mediocre. Could have cooked the filet better at home and saved the money. Disappointed to say the least. Our server Peter, made the time enjoyable as he could and was the best memory of our otherwise bland dinner.
The only issue I had was the fact that the vegetables & the macaroni & cheese were cold, while the entree was hot. Need to coordinate food so all is hot at the same time. Waitress was able to have the food heated for us.
I am a regular (and a Landry’s Club member). I love coming to this restaurant: great value for the food, good presentation, perfect service, world class views. I brought my husband this visit for Valentine’s Day.
Great service , good food and welcoming ambience ! Overall great experience !
It was a very good experience and I enjoyed the food a lot.
Excellent service and the food was outstanding. We will defintely return.
We absolutely love coming here. Peter was our server and was very attentive for our party of 12. As usual the food was delicious and the view was great. We will be back!
Figured a setup with a long table would be hard for the group to talk, I requested a round table for seating of 8 and was placed perfectly in a corner nook. Our dinner was very good and to our likening. Ordered: ribeye with veggies and garlic mash, scallops, Jake’s Famous Bouillabaisse, calamari, and the Smoked Beef Carpaccio. Everything was cooked to perfection and service from Peter was on par. Thanks for a great evening with friends and great food!
I had made a reservation for a table of 8 people. I’ve been 2 this restaurant before several times & my husband has even had his office party there.
But the food and service has gone DOWN hill! Service was extremely slow, fries cold and one of the most expensive seafood dishes did not come out hot! We had to look for our server to get refills on water.
And WORSE of all, the server when collecting dishes, somehow SPLASHED KETCHUP onto one our guests pants!!!
Aside from the good views, for over $200.00 bill...I did NOT have a good dining experience & will NEVER return to this restauant or recommend it.
We had a wonderful experience, except my date was disappointed we didn’t get the window seats I requested
High quality seafood and steak. Several items sold out unfortunately.
Wonderful date night and AMAZING view!
We have eaten at this restaurant four times. All other times everything was good to very good. This time we had terrible service. We had to ask for water several times. I ordered another glass of wine with the meal. Our waitress was going to get it as another person was clearing the table. My fish was overcooked, dry, and had less than a teaspoon of sauce. Overall, very unsatisfying.
Unfortunately, the indifferent and extremely slow service took away from what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.
Regarding service, when we asked for recommendations, the waiter said “it’s all on the menu “ and when I ordered a glass of wine before our meal came the wine didn’t come until after we finished.
Haven’t been here for dinner in years. Not very busy on a Friday night. Food was not good. My mashed potatoes cool under some so-so tuna. Cioppino was pretty good. Nice service,
Food was less than average especially for the high prices.
Always consistent and enjoyable
The lobster bisque was worth the trip going in. Our table was way in the back almost in lonely land. However, we could talk easily and the closeby kitchen wasn't busy enough to interfere. Views are terrific. The main fish course was a salmon filled one and I thought the blue cheese was a dissonant chord in the mix. Still I'd go back and enjoy the setting and try other options.
Food was ok, has gone downhill. Service started out good but the waiter became indifferent and unfocused. I would recommend finding another restaurant in SF - there are tons!
As always good food and wine with professional service in lovely location. Ask for window yaw !
Amazing service by Steven. Had lobster bisque (fantastic - lovely chunks of lobster and delicious cream), beef medallions bordelaise, and cioppino. All delicious, prepared excellently and served beautifully. Grateful too for parking validation that took a huge chunk out of exorbitant SF parking charge.
AC is too cold.
Our server was excellent..loved her. Thank you for giving us the window seat.
A BEAUTIFUL SPACE WITH FINE FOOD AND A MAGNIFICENT VIEW. I have loved McCormick and Kuleto's for many years. It isn't a "great" restaurant, but it is generally very, very good. I love the ambience, and the spectacular view of the bay and Marin County. And you can get some delicious fresh seafood, nicely prepared. I had a lovely caesar salad and the "simply grilled" swordfish. My wife had simply grilled maki-mahi. The food was wonderful. We did, however, feel rushed by our server, who made a bit of chaos clearing my plate, and all of the bread and condiments on the table WHILE MY WIFE WAS STILL EATING HER DINNER. Then . . . WHILE MY WIFE WAS STILL EATING HER DINNER, our server asked if we were ready for coffee and to see the dessert menu. I had to point out to her . . . "MY WIFE IS STILL EATING!" This is a truly offensive and rude cluelessness that has become rampant in the restaurant industry. Servers are so focused on efficiency that they completely disregard the basic elements of good service. I would hope that the restaurant will give some additional training to their staff . . . because the "choppy" service took the edge off what was otherwise a LOVELY dinner. And still we WOULD recommend the restaurant!
First time dining here and the service and ambiance was excellent. Went here for lunch. Food was well prepared and the wait time for the food to arrive was very good.
The food was amazing. The service was awful. We were celebrating a birthday and indicated as such (they put a lovely personalized header on the menu for the occasion) and mentioned we needed a high chair. We sat 10mins before the waiter came to ask our drink order. He said he’d check into the high chair but never let us know further. After our food was brought out (by the managers) we asked them about the high chair and they brought one over right away. After taking our dinner order the waiter never checked on us until it was time for dessert. We had to ask other servers for water refills. Our waiter asked “is there a special occasion I should let the manager know of” we told them of the birthday and he left. He even asked if my father-in-law and myself could share a bowl of ice cream or if it had to be separate. No candle or special writing for the birthday boy was presented with his dessert. The waiter then asked “you want the bill?” and that was it. I don’t expect or feel entitled to any free dessert for the birthday but just a simple chocolate design would’ve been nice, otherwise, why ask? The food was delicious and that is the only reason why we’d come back. Also the other servers and busboys who helped us more than the waiter were wonderful and they earned the tip I left on the check.
We celebrated our Son’s birthday at this wonderful restaurant. The staff was very friendly and customer service oriented. The staff was very attentive and provided excellent services. The food and ambiance was superb. We had a table overlooking the bay. We got to enjoy the sunset during our dining experience.
