Server didn't seem interested in waiting in us. Never mentioned his name or the specials. Our salad came out before our appetizer. My steak was not cooked as ordered. Didn't bother to send it back because our server never came back by the table once our entree was served. When the table next to us was seated, our server (coincidentally theirs too) must have found some pep in his step. He was quick to introduce himself, advise of the specials and seemed more than willing to discuss the menu with them. Unsure if we will return. Wish we would have had a better experience, especially since we were celebrating a birthday.
We had a party of 7 for dinner on a Sunday evening. The food was good, but it is difficult to put a positive spin on the evening because the service was not up to par for a restaurant with this quality of food. Whether our waiter was inexperienced or overwhelmed, there were several gaps in service for drinks, for soup and salad, and finally one of our party was left without an entree when the steaks and chicken arrived. Our waiter was clearly over his head and management should have assigned another waiter or assistant waiter to help him get our order in correctly and delivered at the same time. Dragging a burger and wedge salad while everyone else had their meal just should not happen at an upscale restaurant.
Then when the bill arrived, i looked to see if maybe the late items had been discounted or comped. No, we were charged full price, and I found we were also billed for an extra cocktail. The bill was adjusted for the cocktail without a problem; it was just one more thing.
So yes, we would recommend dining at McClintock, the food was good; but if the party is larger than 4, I would recommend a different waiter.
Terrible meal, steak you couldn’t even cut. My vife pilled here on my plate as it was so bad
We love this place! Everything is delicious and the fried chicken livers are a must have! Service is always top notch!
Our food was fairly good but our server was rude and surly.
The atmosphere was relaxed and noise level low to moderate. The surf and turf special was a good value with a bone in pork chop, crab cake, side and glass of wine. Though not on the menu, we were able to order grilled salmon as an entree and two sides. Looking forward to coming back to try more things on the menu.
We had the chicken livers as our appetizer, they were delicious. We shared the saloon salad, it was very good the blue cheese dressing was very flavorful. The chef special filet topped with crab and roasted asparagus was melt in your mouth good! I cannot wait to return. Highly recommend.
I made a reservation and the host sat us in the very back corner of the restaurant. This always happens to me! I don’t know if I look poor or am ugly but this keeps occurring. The server was pleasant at least and the steak was great! We were dressed for the roaring 20’s for NYE. Maybe the staff didn’t like that. I thought we looked nice.
Always a great place. Has become my wife's and my favorite place to go for a steak and drinks.
From the moment we walked in till the moment we walked out, you would have thought we were the only table in the restaurant, the staff was extremely attentive, but not in your face all the time attentive. The food was delicious, steaks were perfectly done, not under, not over just perfect. The bread pudding for dessert had just the perfect blend of sweetness that made you keep eating till the last bite was gone no matter how full you are. Excellent restaurant we will for sure be back!!
Arrived 4pm Sunday. I had the Bone in Prime Strip which was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The steak was lightly salted which was OK but I'd preferred to do my own salt or none. I should have asked. The baked potato was nicely prepared except it was room temp cold as if it had been prepared early and was waiting on the steak to come out. It still tasted good. The jalapeno was lightly grilled one one side only. They do now give you a large fluffy biscuit for bread and fluffy room temp butter. I wish there was something on the table to put on it but I made it disappear anyway. The $12 shrimp cocktail appetizer has 3 shrimp only and a tiny little bit of cabbage. This was disappointing.
The small filet was very good, not bacon wrapped. The Caesar salad was also good with croutons and crisp onion toppers. Ordered a glass of Merlot and it was less than two fingers. Shortest glass of wine I've ever seen.
We celebrated our anniversary there on Thursday evening. It wasn’t crowded at all so we enjoyed the quiet and calm. Our waiter was top notch and took care of our every need. The steaks were perfect and side dishes were delicious. No complaints really except I noted an odor in the air close to our booth. It was a musty type smell that was barely noticeable except for my sensitive nose. It did not detract from the quality or enjoyment of the meal. Five stars!
Love the place
Great place. I will go back
We had a reservation but arrived early and they were still able to seat us. Met right away for our drink order. Answered all food questions. Food came quickly and hot and yummy. We had three steaks ordered and one fried chicken and each was very excellent. Sides were all good. All in all a great first visit!
Our appetizer had a hair on it. It was deviled eggs. They looked fantastic, unfortunately we never got to taste one. We sent it back and told them we’d take a fresh one minus the hair. We never got it. Our waiter did apologize for it. Usually a manager is notified and will check on the table, but that didn’t happen in this case. The waiter was very nice, but very awkward and we had to remind him several times for simple things like a water refill. My cocktail was one of their seasonal cocktails that he raved about and said they were very proud of. It was presented very nicely but was lukewarm and tasted like pure rubbing alcohol. Our main course, I’ll start with, we arrived at 5pm to a restaurant that had about 4 other tables seated. We didn’t get our steak (just one steak that two of us split and had paired with mushrooms and broccoli) til almost 6:40 pm. We had plans at 7 pm and thought we had planned enough time to have a meal. I could maybe understand if it was a packed house but it was not. This is my 5th time to visit, and each time but one I’ve been disappointed in the steaks. The one time I wasn’t we were at the bar having some beers and a lady that was at the bar surprised us with an order of pistachio gelato, which was very good. I love the decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant but it doesn’t foot the bill for a nice fancy steakhouse. I’d recommend Cattlemen’s across the street over this place for a steak any day. Sadly enough, it was my friend’s first time there and I had told her it wasn’t a great place before we made plans. She wanted to try it though and I thought it’d be better. She left disappointed too. We had an event downtown and wished we would have just gone to Cattlemen’s or Mickey Mantle’s. Maybe the other items on the menu are better or take less time to cook and serve.
We enjoyed our time at McClintock Saloon. Main dish's were very good . Cream spinach could have been better without cheese.
Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was great. Turkey was a little on the dry side.
Fillet dinners were good. Holiday ham and turkey dinners were inedible, overcharged at $40 each, and fed to the dogs. Complaint to waitress fell on deaf ears.
Great service. House salad was sparse. Filet was great but rib eye was tough. Was offered another steak, did not want it. Surprised we were not offered dessert or to take it off our bill.
Poor service with pompous/demeaning attitude from our waiter Josh and no corrective action from the manager Pascal when brought to his attention
Was a bit early for our reservation but was quickly greeted and seated. Our server was prompt and friendly even though they were getting busy. Ordered a Bloody Mary, was afraid I would be disappointed once it was served because it appeared light in color but was extremely pleased, honestly one of the best I’ve had in Oklahoma. We started off with Braisedsteak nachos and were impressed with the amount served. Will definitely order them again. I went with the chicken fried steak which was huge and flavorful, not to much breading. The green beans were fresh with the perfect amount of garlic. The mashed potatoes seemed soured but there was so much food I didn’t complain. My husband ordered the Dirty South Burger. It had a slice of cheese, possibly cheddar, but was missing the pimento cheese. The jalapeño on our appetizer was pickled and the jalapeño on the burger was fresh, not complaining just an FYI. The sweet-potato fries were really good. Overall we were pleased with our meal and will definitely return to try some of their other dishes.
Our experience was great! We had visitors from out of town and they liked it also.
Great place for a business meeting.
Very friendly staff.
McClintock Saloon is a great place off the beaten path! They have amazing food and drinks and the wait staff is outstanding! This is honestly one of our new favorite places to eat!
Great filet steak. Probably the best I've ever had.
My husband's bacon was crispy and good, chicken fried steak good, fries good; but my Saloon Salad was so-so, and worst of all ... especially for a steak place (which the server pointed out) ... my filet was not tender, not well seasoned, and awfully raw for a medium rare (and what's the point in asking for further cooking of a filet that's neither tender nor well seasoned?).
I took my son there for his birthday & it was a great night. The bourbon cocktails to start off were excellent & the big biscuits that came out in the beginning were incredible. I had the big filet & my son had the 14oz strip steak - both were the top 3 steaks we’ve ever had. The sides of mac’n cheese & the grilled asparagus were great complements to the meal. Also loved the creme brulee & chocolate mousse cake! Wonderful atmosphere & great service! Will definitely go back.
The food was well prepared and balanced. The atmosphere was very cool although the place was empty..... It could have been the time of night. I would recommend.
First off, let's start with the good: GREAT bar and bartenders. Excellent selection of whiskey/bourbon and solid cocktails. If you're just popping in for a drink, this is a great spot. Unfortunately, if you want dinner, things go downhill fast. We had slow service from a waiter that desperately lacked personality. Steaks are priced as if they're trying to compete with Mahogany or Ranch, but McClintock's steaks should not be mentioned in the same sentence. My 14oz ribeye was cooked fine, but was tough in spots (definitely not a prime cut) and lacked flavor. I've had better a better steak for half the price at Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse. My daughter ordered the meatloaf and it was 'meh' at best. Next time my wife and I will leave the kids at home and just have a drink at the bar.
Excellent restaurant. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. We met out-of-state friends for dinner and they were also impressed. Great venue.
Love the atmosphere of this place! The Steak and grilled shrimp was yummy along with the sauce I added on. Ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and they were burnt. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would go again!
Seating felt like a hallway.
Great atmosphere, food, service, you name it! We will definitely be back!
Cory provided an excellent anniversary and dining experience. McClintock's rules the Ranch when it comes to dining.
The ribeye and filets were the best steaks we ever had!
Food is delicious. Best value in Oklahoma City for Filet steaks. Best bar in town.
What a great find! Tasty food; ample portions; memorable surroundings.
Took friends from out of town for a good steak. Fun location in Stockyard City - good ambience with uptown cowboy flair. We’ll be back.
We loved the food. The atmosphere was very nice. Beautiful woodwork. The only complaint was our waiter wasn’t very attentive. We were seated in the saloon area though so I believe he was also the bartender. We just flagged down other waiters as needed to help us. We’ll return for sure. The best French onion soup anywhere.
