Great atmosphere and wonderful food! Gem of a restaurant in a small, quaint town.
We are always satisfied with the food and service.
We ordered an appetizer that we had before and it was different. It had an ingredient we had not previously experienced. No way to know but we enjoyed it less this time. Then we had one entree, which was a salad with a missing ingredient. We mentioned it and were not charged but it was a slip up that we did not expect from this place. Our waitress was fantastic the drinks were spot on. We like the ambience. We will return but this trip was not up to our expectations.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to McCleary's. The outdoor patio was mostly full, but it was still easy to converse with my wife. The menu had several options that I want, but we both shared a Bruschetta appetizer and had Shepherds Pie. It was delicious with a nice mixture of lamb and beef and savory seasoning. The service was quick, so really a two thumbs up. I look forward to returning!!
One of McCleary's featured dishes is their fish and chips, which they claim is among the top five in the nation. My wife had it and was unimpressed. I had the shepherd's pie and enjoyed it. Their menu is long and varied for a pub. I'd like to return to try other items on it.
Great food. Great service as usual. The patio is air conditioned which is nice.
The food was really good and the service was attentive. We were seated in a 2 person booth by the stage. It was a good location. We were finishing up when the music started. It wasn't terribly loud. Had we stayed, we would still have been able to talk.
Fantastic Irish pub hidden away in Marietta. Who knew?! I had the award winning fish & chips and would definitely give them an award. So glad to have found this gem and will definitely be back to try other menu items!
Great food and atmosphere! A true gem in the quaint town of Marietta.
Great service, employees are very friendly.
The food is always excellent.
One of our regular stops. Always have a good experience. Had a great meal and drink this trip.
McCleary's has a menu that pleasantly pleased the 3 different pallets in our party. Not a complaint, one. As a seasoned beer drinker, I can honestly say the beer menue has something on it for everyone. The service is top notch and the atmosphere has a classic warm inviting pub feel. The servers cater to your every need and you feel treated more like a client than just a mere customer. I highly recommend experiencing McCleary's Pub for yourself!!
Wasn’t as we remembered it. It was so dark we could barely see our food! When a waitress didn’t have a table she sat at the bar and played on her phone. Used to be they polished glasses. Burger was charred for medium & the ‘crabmeat’ on top was mostly not crab. We used to love it here. I guess the pandemic changed everything. And they charged us a credit card fee for full amount although we had a gift card. We’ll try it again later but this visit was disappointing, especially considering the cost. We all went through the pandemic. I asked a waitress if Mattie was still the chef. She didn’t know?? She said there were a bunch of them. Freddie please introduce the back of the house to the front of the house. And tell them to get off their phones!
Super as always!
We go here often! Tomato soup is the best. Fish tacos and burgers are always good. Have never had bad service here.
Waiter was to much in hurry taking order and did not listen
Our dinner on patio was awesome. Nice atmosphere. Their wings for appetizer are delicious and different coating than anywhere else. We had fish and chips and chicken pot pie. Both nice servings and delicious. Will order again.
Mussels appetizer was excellent; mussels were the largest we’ve had, broth was outstanding and we enjoyed the removal of the top shell before serving. It made the eating the easiest ever! My wife’s seafood special was excellent and my bangers & mash was delicious. The service by Mikayla was also top notch! Looking forward to our next visit!
One of our favorite local spots.
This was our first time and we definitely plan a return.
We met old friends for dinner. Making the reservation on OpenTable was easy, had we had a nice quiet table in the corner for catching up. Food, as always, was great, as was the draft selection.
I had the veggie wrap several weeks ago and it was very good. Yesterday, it was horrible. The wrap had a minimal amount of hummus and the vegetable part seemed as though they had opened a bag of premade lettuce, with which they made the wrap and stuck it in a tortilla. I asked if they had a different chef that night and the person that cleared the dishes had no response. Our hiking club has come to Mclreary,s to eat after our hikes. I will recommend we find somewhere else to dine. What a disappointment. P.S. they only took 30% off my wrap. A classier place should have removed it from the bill.
Have eaten at McCleary's many times and it never disappoints. I request Thomas as our server and he, too, never disappoints. Great food, great service, great value...
Great vibe and good service. Enjoyable time with good food.
Brought our friends here for dinner. First time for them. We had a lovely evening. Fish and chips were delicious but my fish tacos were better than any I’ve had in a long time. Friend had the steak special which he raved about. Our waiter (forgot his name but he’s from the Big Apple) was so nice. He got an extra tip from us. We will be back
This was our first visit and we had heard that the fish and chips were wonderful and we found them to EXECELENT.
Lovely place with great drinks and food. We loved the atmosphere.
Great service - attentive and friendly. Menu has a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious!
Friendly and happy atmosphere with a quality staff who knows what they're doing and knows our products not a noisy place at the fish and chips that was excellent
Server seemed to lose us for a time. I needed a second beer for 15 minutes, the empty glass at the edge of the table.
Delicious food, beer, and cocktails - perfectly served!
Waitress was fast and friendly. Had the fish tacos and they were very good
Server was very polite
Great place to relax and enjoy! From start to finish it was perfect for us
The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meal. The service was also excellent! We will be back.
It was the perfect graduation lunch with my family!
Run don’t walk to McCleary’s! This place is awesome for inside outside or walk-up dining. Great beer, great service, and a wonderfully authentic pub setting.
This was our first time and will definitely be back! The service and food were both great. Especially enjoyed the wings. Very extensive beer and cocktail selection.
