MB Steak - Hard Rock Hotel Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent but we were not happy with our seating arrangement/location. Our table was located very close to the upstairs bar and large groups, waiting for their tables, were basically standing over us while we ate and there was no possible way to have a nice quiet conversation. The chairs themselves, although very comfortable for lounging, we thought were not ideal for eating as you had to lean forward and there was no back support.
This was my first experience at your establishment and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff was very personable. They answered any questions and explained the menu to us. The food was excellent, portions were definitely appropriate and I felt that the prices were fair for what you got. I will definitely come back and I plan on recommending your restaurant to all my friends.
The filet mignon were A+. $40 for 3 scallops not worth it. LOUD LOUD LOUD. Literally had to yell out order to the waiter. The waiter was not ready to work at an upscale Steakhouse! When making Rez, I told them it was for our sons 21st bday! Every 4 star Steakhouse I've been to have ALWAYS presented us w/at least a piece of cheesecake, cake ice cream or whatever and have acknowledged the bday or anniversary!
NOTHING!! Not impressed
We were seated in a corner booth as requested on reservation. No acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary celebration by waitstaff nor did they ask if special occasion (as was done at another table). We so enjoyed our delicious porterhouse for 2! Crab cake appetizer was large enough for 2 sharing and wonderful taste and texture!
The food was phenomenal, so good in fact, we came back the next evening to have the Rib Eye again with a different set of side dishes. The service was just a tad slow on the first night we were there, but both nights the staff was attentive and it was a pleasant dinner experience! My husband loves the Mitake Mushrooms!! He ordered them both nights.
What a great meal... Love the room and the staff is amazing. We started with the Lanson's Champagne which is always good. Rock shrimp and sashimi to start yum, Bone in filet with a parmesan cheese herb crust it was perfect my daughter had the scallops, side dishes were the mushroom grits a must have and the lobster mac and cheese. We finished with a birthday carrot cake which Patrick the chef brought out.. Again thank you for a fabulous birthday dinner
Our meal consisted of the bone-in filet mignon, Au Gratin potatoes, Caesar salad and vanilla bean creme brulee for dessert. Their house cheese bread is ... omg... sooo good! We shared the filet, which was prepared a PERFECT med-rare, the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of "crust", and the creme brulee topped with berries was delicious, but the madeleine cookies were a special surprise - my faves!! The bottle of Argentinean Malbec was perfect with the meal and service was outstanding. I couldn't help but notice the watchful eyes overseeing our dining experience. Our wine glasses were never empty, plates were cleared immediately, food delivery was spot on and our servers/attendees were helpful and pleasant. It was our last night in Vegas, after a very busy couple of days wrapped up in the NFR, so we were really looking forward to enjoying a nice, quite evening paired with an excellent meal. We were not disappointed! The prices were a little high, but I think that is more about it being Vegas than this particular establishment. Coming from Oklahoma, we faced sticker shock everywhere we turned! :-) I would say, that for a 5 star in Vegas, they were appropriately priced and we got what we paid for - an excellent experience! Thank you!
Smaller than expected, a few covers and bar seating. Good food and service at premium prices. Too noisy to speak conversationally with the service staff or my wife sitting next to me . . . all hard surfaces, loud music, very distracting for what was supposed to be a pleasant, cozy dinner.
Horrible atmosphere and mediocre food.
Loudest restaurant I have experienced in years. The small space, wood walls, low ceilings and hard floor amplify sound. It was deafening when we arrived. I could not hear my wife talk from across the table. The steak was ok, but not great. This is a Morton Brothers restaurant, not a Morton's. Very disappointing based on the prices. There are much better steak houses in Las Vegas.
We ate here for our Anniversary. Very intimate. Everything we had, from the lemon drop martinis to the 14 oz Rib eye and 6 oz filet mignon, were excellent. The 2 sides we chose, augratin potatoes and Yukon gold mashed, were also excellent. Service was as to be expected from this high class joint. Don't expect low prices, however. Was worth every dime.
I ordered the double porterhouse to share. It was one of the best cooked and seasoned steaks I've had. It was a crispy sear and excellent temperature and redness for a medium. I was very impressed on the presentation of the steak, as it was cut into slices after it was cooked, which made it much easier to share.
We like to try a different steakhouse every Thanksgiving weekend when we're in town and since we were staying at the Hard Rock, going to MB Steak was a no-brainer. The service was impressive from the minute you check in at the front until the time you leave. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive. Our appetizers consisted of the onion soup (oh the yummy melted cheese!), a beautifully presented salad and oysters -- all were delicious. Our filets were cooked to perfection and our sides, the maitake mushrooms and the potato gratin were great! They have an impressive wine and spirits list to choose from as well. Unfortunately we were too stuffed to try the desserts, but hopefully next time! The only thing that someone in our party complained of was the volume level of the music -- other than that, a great dining experience was had by all!
Was hopeful this would be a replacement for my beloved N9NE that closed recently. It was a very slow night, with only 5 other tables occupied. Service was fine, but I was served the fattiest filet I've ever seen - I think it wanted to be a ribeye. My dining partner's filet was cooked to temperature but was coated in salt - salt was all you could taste. The lobster mac and cheese had one small piece of lobster on it - not in it.
I sent my steak back, and no one - not a manager or the chef - came by to inquire. I will not return to this attempt at a steakhouse. With the limited number of guests and the poor quality of food followed by any engagement by management, I would be surprised if it is open for much longer.
The food was excellent, our steaks were done to our individual liking. The service was incredible, very attentive and friendly. The wine list had a very reasonable selection with ranging values to suit anyone’s needs. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
