This place is close and don't how you allow to do reservation. We suppose to have dinner for my birthday. We all got there and there was note that its closed due to construction and it's now different name.
This place is closed but open table took my reservation
The restaurant has gone out of buissnes and open table still did a reservation . I will never use open table ever again
We booked and showed up for dinner on time. Restaurant was CLOSED....they should not have been on OPEN TABLE, as they don't deserve to be....HORRIBLE EMBARRASSING EXPERIENCE!!!
Mayura closed permanently about a month ago according to a neighbouring business. We were not informed by the restaurant nor Open Table. I received a confirmation email from Open Table the day before. We arrived to celebrate my dad’s 85th birthday only to find the doors locked. We ended up going back to his house to eat because we didn’t receive any notice so that we could make alternate plans.
Open table and Mayura have no coordination. We went at 7:15 scheduled time on Father's Day and found the place closed. This is the second time this happened. There is no point depending on a restaurant which has erratic operation time. Open Table should have a mechanism to identify this kind of restaurants so that customers are not disappointed.
Restaurant was closed once I reached there, so bad surprise to me! I organised birthday event there and it was so embarrassing for me....can't you coordinate if restaurant is open or close and then only accept booking? do this change in your software.....
After booking and arriving at the restaurant
I found out the restaurant has been closed for few days
Why are the bookings still going on
Really bad experience
Went in there 1st time and it looks beautiful inside and so is the food and service, great i really enjoyed the food.
Terrible experience. Bad service, loud, disorganized, overpriced
Great experience, loved it.
Special occasion not acknowledged. Great ambience , good food, service efficient and friendly but very expensive.
Good Ambience. Amazing customer service. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Do not go by the negative reviews. It's totally worth it!
Loved everything about Mayura..Staff is very welcoming.
The food was very good. There were many different Indian dishes to choose from and the server gave us some excellent recommendations. I didn’t feel the cocktail selections were very good, they were too sweet. And the wine menu was quite limited. Other than that, everything was excellent. I will definitely return and try some other dishes.
Excellent food and the wait staff was very helpful. We enjoyed everything they gave us!
We received a recommendation from a friend. Well worth the outing. We had a great time. The food was fabulous and excellent service. We will return. A must try!
I liked the food offered here, however I definitely feel the customer service aspect needs a big facelift. Firstly, I had clearly mentioned that it was my wife's birthday as a special occasion celebration for visiting the restaurant. Any good customer centric restaurant staff would have read the comments before hand and made at least some special arrangement or surprise. Leave aside that, they did not even wish my wife Happy Birthday which was so disappointing. I also requested them on facebook if they could somehow get Masterchef Ranveer to send a happy birthday message to her on video, but I got no response. I didn't expect it to happen, however the sad fact was there was no communication on this aspect at all from the restaurant. So basically we just had the food and came back home like any other normal day.
Visitef again, I must say the new menu is awesome. I particularly loved the Tacos and Kale Chat. Dum ka murgh and Goat pulao is something I have never tasted and are delicious. The Mango Shrikhand is great. A must visit for everyone. Great food and wonderful service.
We came here in the recommendation of a friend for another friend’s birthday celebration and were not disappointed! The ambience, service, assistance with menu selections for this non-Indian group and of course the various dishes we selected were all wonderful. We will return, and tell our friends!
Best restaurant in GTA. Best food , best service....... will definitely come back and would recommend to all my friends and relatives.
We felt that food lacked authentic taste. We ordered chicken tikkas (not enough flavor), chicken kadai (felt as if chicken was cooked outside the onion and tomato curry and then mixed after so it also lacked flavor) and lamb could have been softer. For the money we paid, it certainly wasn't great value.
Way too pricey.
Geared more to Indians, servers had a difficult time understanding us.
We went to celebrate our marriage anniversary with our friends from Waterloo.
While placing main course plates, Mango Mystic glass fell and it spilled drink over my wife's dress. Surprisingly neither there was sincere apology nor any discount given as courtey after such an incident which we all felt was absolutely unprofessional.
Food was tasteless. We four people could not eat much. Khubani kofta was terrible. Only nan was good.
The decor and ambiance of this restaurant is really nice. The presentation of the food was very nice as well but the food is WAY too overpriced for what it is. While it is good, it is certainly not exceptional by any means. The restaurant was not busy at all and pretty empty for a Friday night (not a good sign). The servers were polite but were constantly asking if we wanted anything more and I thought it was a bit much. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Not worth the money.
The ambiance is nice, however, the quality of the food is not what's expected for the price. In short, over priced for the quality and the taste of the food.
You are really paying for the presentation of the food.
Really great dining experience. Food was 10/10!
Great place for good Indian food
Don't go as they don't care about their customers.
Valentine dinner disaster! Served mushrooms and prawns when specifically told about allergy to both! Waited two and a half hours for absolutely nothing! Very disorganized! Kept taking in clients while not even serving those sitting. Served my wife goat curry and she’s vegetarian and replaced the daal with a dish we never asked for and blamed it on being overbooked. Never ever have I had such an experience at a restaurant where I had to get up and leave. This restaurant, all of its staff and especially the owner should be ashamed of this utter BS of a restaurant. Do not be fooled by the good reviews, they are likely friends and family members of this high disorganized, money hungry of a place they selfishly call a restaurant!!!?
One of the worst dining experience with ordinary food and pathetic service.
on Valentine day was my first day visiting this restaurant...the service was very poor...very unorganized...we ordered our food..we were waiting their for 1 hour still our food did not cone..so we have to leave without eating. No matter how busy is restaurant...they have to be more organised.. waitress were unprofessional...
Worst experience ever, I will not even give 1 star.
On Feb 14, 2018 , I went there around 6 Pm and waited till 8 Pm for food. We were still eating and front desk girl came and informed that we need to vacant this table.
She didn't care that we are still eating . When I told her , customer service and food is really below expectations and I will never come back. All she said was OK.
Definitely I am not going back 👎👎👎 They only care about their tables.
Good food and good service!!
This was my third visit to Mayura and it has been excellent each time.
Nice ambience and good food! Price is reasonable too! Most importantly they value their customers. We went there for our wedding anniversary lunch and they served a complimentary dessert and also played a nice tune of flute to mark the occasion. Such a nice gesture! Recommend this restaurant to friends and family👍
Food was great, but the wait -time was ridiculous!! 90 mts. for a meal, with no explanations until we raked them over the coals!
Dinner was good, but the food didn't come out as fresh as I had hoped, almost seemed like it was warmed up. Taste was good and naan was fresh. Overall ok experience.
Food was ordinary compared to the price point it belongs to, the server wasn't of any help when told that one of us has a nut allergy, he said they cannot customized meat options as all of them contain nuts, so one of us had to go "forced vegetarian" though she was looking forward to try their meat options. quantity was ok but taste was below expectations especially when it belongs to a renowned chef, I have many better options tried around my area but Mayura was disappointing.
