We were having a late dinner so opted for the grilled(marinated) chicken sandwich! Absolutely delicious, don perfectly. The yuca and French fries were delicious and from fresh vegetables! Don’t miss the yummy rice pudding!

Brussels sprouts were AMAZING. The Peruvian chicken was not very flavorful and the empanadas were very greasy. Their amarillo sauce (yellow/mild) was mostly mayo and little of that wonderful Peruvian amarillo pepper taste. Their quinoa dish was very tasty but expensive. Overall, I would go back for appetizers not mains. The prices were high for the quality.

The service was very good. Our waitress was very helpful answering questions and giving suggestions. I got a vegetarian rice meal which was ok. Much too much rice. My husband got skewers of meat, chicken and shrimp. All were overcooked and dry. Will not go back.

Everything was great, except the service could have been a little better. When my coffee was served, it was black and there was no cream or sugar. And I wasn't asked about either as well. When I requested cream and sugar, I only got cream. There was a Peruvian coffee taste testing area, so I got up to get some sugar from there. Lastly, the server took a very long time to come over to check on us when we were ready to leave and wanted our check.

Our waitress was about as helpful and friendly as I can recall - she was full of good recommendations and had patience with our quest to discover Peruvian food. We enjoyed everything. The food was outstanding. We will be back

We dined here during Frederick Restaurant Week and ordered the fixed price 3 course dinner. My husband had the stuffed pepper for his appetizer. He loved it and it was a large portion. For dinner he had a traditional Peruvian seafood dish and I had the sea bass. Both were delicious. Dessert was a tropical cheesecake. It was out of this world. The flavor was delicious and texture was light. It was a perfect ending to the meal. We will eat here again.

Mayta’s serves the finest, most authentic Peruvian food in Frederick; and beyond! The food tastes great and is presented beautifully. If you are not sure what to order, just ask Jorge, the owner, for a suggestion. He and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back again and again!

Authentic and delicious Peruvian cuisine! My husband and I spent a week in Peru 20 years ago and this place really brought back memories. The staff were so friendly and even humored our attempts at Spanish. The restuarant is small, but bright with beautiful Peruvian artwork on the walls. Very nice casual dining. Highly recommend

Pisco Sours and Ceviche Mixto were followed by wonderfully imaginative presentation of entrees including marinated Braised Duck, Roasted Lamb Shank and Picante de Langosta/Lobster with variety of sides. Clasico Postre and Peruvian coffee made a perfect finish in a comfortable setting. Chef/Owner is welcoming and friendly.

This is the first time my husband and I have gone to this restaurant. We had a lovely dinner in a very calming atmosphere. The food and service was top notch and we are looking forward to going back again. There are several restaurants in the same shopping center area that one could try. Please try this one and I promise you will not be disappointed that you did. It is nice to go to a restaurant and be so warmly treated and enjoy great food also!!! Our thanks to you.
