Maysville, we will miss your wonderful Bourbon cocktails!
I am very sad to hear that Maysville is closing so soon!
Wait staff friendly, food good- particularly the biscuits
Service was very slow and we were tucked away at the table by the bathrooms. The food is still very good but overall......
I've never been disappointed until my most recent visit. I ordered the salmon and the Server made a point to ask how I like it cooked because it's normally medium rare. That's fine by me. When the fish arrived it was way overcooked (well done), so I sent it back. When I got the new one it appeared to be medium rare but when I got to the center it was ice-cold. At that point it was too late to send back, but it was unacceptable. Will be staying away for a while.
I had never had dinner here, just drinks. But I loved it. Would go again. Shrimp toast is not what I expected but fantastic. Sesame encrusted triangles with a dipping sauce. The grits are MAGICAL. Light and fluffy in spite of all that fat. My friend's entrees were excellent. Steak tartare was a bit too mayo-rich for my taste but flavorful and a tad spicy. Vieux Carre good, as were the wines. Desserts good but not overly large.
The decor is a real draw. I passed this restaurant once on my way back from Sid's Gold Room and the equestrian mural made me stop in for a drink. Happy to report the food is as good as the booze.
Food was awesome. Great drinks. Definitely will be back.
Cool place to try on different kind of whiskey, and good food but very small plates
Exceedingly mediocre food and service. Restaurant was empty for Sunday brunch ... yet server never came near our table.
Review based on a lunch, it may differ at dinner (especially re: noise & ambience).
Great. Loved the atmosphere and the food was excellent. I would definitely go there again.
Super chill and really good food as always!
We were seated in a room in the very back that was walled off from the rest of the restaurant. This might be fine if you’re a large party but we felt like we were in time out. I recommend asking NOT to be seated in this area.
Great, easy, reliable!
Amazing everytime I go. Great Food, feels like love
Exceptional food and service - you feel right at home in this warm and yummy environment.
It's all about the food AND service - KIKO is THE BEST!
Good food! Nice place! Will go again
Over priced. Great drinks and great service. Roasted oysters were not good. Dry, poor flavor and over priced. Smoked chicken was good. Grits were excellent. Not sure I would return.
Food was delicious, cocktails were interesting (and also tasty). The atmosphere was great, especially considering it was Valentine's day. Definitely, recommend.
Excellent as usual
truly great drinks
the salmon, the gumbo and the smoked chicken are exceptional
Brunch was fabulous!
Bartender had no personality whatsoever and seemed like he didnt want to be there. It was like we were annoying him just by sitting down... maybe because we ordered wine at a bourbon bar?
Food was good.. nothing too special for NYC.
Sat at the bar. Food, cocktail & service was fantastic!
Mostly go for lunch because the food is great and you can hear yourself talk. Staff is generally attentive and friendly. Simple dishes done extremely well. I have never been disappointed there. And if you like
bourbon...you'll be in heaven.
I use to love Maysville. I have had lunch and dinner at least 15 times since it opened. Every time was very good except this week. Bad menu changes. My 4 grilled oysters were all cold (the corn husk roasted oysters were always superb). I don’t think I saw the square grits on the menu - in my opinion that should be a mainstay. Also, fish selection changed. Not sure what happened in kitchen but it clearly changed for the worse.
Nice experience good ambiance food and service
Exceptional brunch place; that's a rarity in Manhattan. Had a wonderfully relaxing and delicious brunch with family. We were allowed to linger and enjoy our time together. The menu was full of great choices-anything would have been delectable. As it was, we selected a variety and shared. Perfect!
There was. I host when I got there to tell that I was present for my reservation. I ate at the bar and told the bartender to tell the host that we were there and I still got a notice from open table that I missed my reservation. I was there!
One of my favorite spots and always perfect. The best Manhattan in town and the food is incredible. Had the short ribs and a side of smoky grits, so comforting and delicious!
Great service. Fun bar. Servers very attentive. The chicken and the grits are really good!
Will not be returning. Food undesirable... except for the black truffle risotto... and too pricy for the portions and quality of food. Waitress was not knowledgeable of bourbons... the primary reason why we were there... and not at all enthusiastic in making recommendations. Really disappointed
The five in our party enjoyed our second visit . We will come again.
The food was amazing!!! Best chicken I had in my life
This is your place if you like bourbon/whisky! Great selection and not outrageously priced. Well....a 2 oz pour of WL Weller was $50 but the prices overall were consistent with NYC prices. They not only had a great cocktail menu but a delicious food menu as well. The deviled eggs are amazing and my NY strip steak was perfectly cooked and delectable! The atmosphere is pretty great as well. A nice bar area that was pretty busy and cozy tables in the same space but surprisingly quiet. I recommend reservations as it can get busy.
Waiter had nyc attitude. I did not feel like the customer. BAsed on that I would not return
