I've never been disappointed until my most recent visit. I ordered the salmon and the Server made a point to ask how I like it cooked because it's normally medium rare. That's fine by me. When the fish arrived it was way overcooked (well done), so I sent it back. When I got the new one it appeared to be medium rare but when I got to the center it was ice-cold. At that point it was too late to send back, but it was unacceptable. Will be staying away for a while.

I had never had dinner here, just drinks. But I loved it. Would go again. Shrimp toast is not what I expected but fantastic. Sesame encrusted triangles with a dipping sauce. The grits are MAGICAL. Light and fluffy in spite of all that fat. My friend's entrees were excellent. Steak tartare was a bit too mayo-rich for my taste but flavorful and a tad spicy. Vieux Carre good, as were the wines. Desserts good but not overly large. The decor is a real draw. I passed this restaurant once on my way back from Sid's Gold Room and the equestrian mural made me stop in for a drink. Happy to report the food is as good as the booze.

We were seated in a room in the very back that was walled off from the rest of the restaurant. This might be fine if you’re a large party but we felt like we were in time out. I recommend asking NOT to be seated in this area.

Over priced. Great drinks and great service. Roasted oysters were not good. Dry, poor flavor and over priced. Smoked chicken was good. Grits were excellent. Not sure I would return.

Bartender had no personality whatsoever and seemed like he didnt want to be there. It was like we were annoying him just by sitting down... maybe because we ordered wine at a bourbon bar? Food was good.. nothing too special for NYC.

Mostly go for lunch because the food is great and you can hear yourself talk. Staff is generally attentive and friendly. Simple dishes done extremely well. I have never been disappointed there. And if you like bourbon...you'll be in heaven.

I use to love Maysville. I have had lunch and dinner at least 15 times since it opened. Every time was very good except this week. Bad menu changes. My 4 grilled oysters were all cold (the corn husk roasted oysters were always superb). I don’t think I saw the square grits on the menu - in my opinion that should be a mainstay. Also, fish selection changed. Not sure what happened in kitchen but it clearly changed for the worse.

Exceptional brunch place; that's a rarity in Manhattan. Had a wonderfully relaxing and delicious brunch with family. We were allowed to linger and enjoy our time together. The menu was full of great choices-anything would have been delectable. As it was, we selected a variety and shared. Perfect!

There was. I host when I got there to tell that I was present for my reservation. I ate at the bar and told the bartender to tell the host that we were there and I still got a notice from open table that I missed my reservation. I was there!

Will not be returning. Food undesirable... except for the black truffle risotto... and too pricy for the portions and quality of food. Waitress was not knowledgeable of bourbons... the primary reason why we were there... and not at all enthusiastic in making recommendations. Really disappointed

This is your place if you like bourbon/whisky! Great selection and not outrageously priced. Well....a 2 oz pour of WL Weller was $50 but the prices overall were consistent with NYC prices. They not only had a great cocktail menu but a delicious food menu as well. The deviled eggs are amazing and my NY strip steak was perfectly cooked and delectable! The atmosphere is pretty great as well. A nice bar area that was pretty busy and cozy tables in the same space but surprisingly quiet. I recommend reservations as it can get busy.
