   The salmon skillet was awesome! Ambience was excellent. Only issue was that one of our dishes did not arrive, and they poured a glass of wine instead of Port. Not sure how they got that wrong. But otherwise it was a nice experience.

   None of the party had been here before, selected due to location was close to an event we were attending. We all found it a pleasant experience. The food was good, service was fairly attentive, it was quiet and looked nice, plus of course, for us the location was great. Would eat here again.

   Ambience was great - food unfortunately was very bland, although I would recommend the beet salad .

   Overall, it was a nice breakfast with friendly staff. However, the omelet came with nothing else: omelet on a plate, no toast, no potatoes, nothing. That isn't very reassuring for $26. The eggs benedict were cold to the touch. The coffee was good, and again, the staff was excellent.

   Decent food, nothing extravagant but it was a nice meal. We did the valentines pricing fixe and had purple potato gnocchi that tasted good but the purple made it look a little unappetizing. Added $15 shrimp to the appetizer salad and got 2 shrimp. Chicken was good, risotto was under seasoned, short ribs were very good! Chocolate lava cake was good, creme brûlée was more like a soft top custard. Server was really friendly and attentive.

   The Mayrose is probably not a dinner destination restaurant. Since its primary function is as a hotel restaurant, it doesn't have to be really good, just ok. The NYE fixed priced dinner was as follows: the shrimp & crab appetizer was easily the best part of the meal, the filet mignon entree was not particularly tasty & the creme brulee was a weird, pasty consistency. My wife's carrot soup appetizer was flavorful, but luke warm, the lamb shank entree was bland tasting, but the lava cake dessert was very good. The cocktails were also very good. The service level was just ok - while there seemed to be a lot of auxiliary service people available for the number of diners, there weren't enough actual waiters/waitresses to take your order. Perhaps New Year's Eve dining is just not a typical dining experience here. Finally, having had breakfast at the Mayrose, the service level is definitely very different, ie., excellent & the breakfast choices are flavorful.

   Food and service were great. We went for New Year’s Eve but would definitely recommend for any dinner occasion. Or serve Tassha was wonderful.
