   Went for the Mother’s Day pre-fixed menu. We sat almost 30 min before even getting water. Omar our waiter, only came to the table after I politely got up and asked twice. When Omar arrived he sighed deeply, was very short and seemed annoyed with us even though we were the ones waiting. The staff overall kinda seems stressed. Our other server was very warm and polite. We finally ordered…it was 4 of us in the group, all 4 had issues. All of my food was cold, there were parts of my mom’s and aunts meals missing, my cousin ordered coffee that never came. Then they forgot our 4th course only realizing it after prematurely asking us did we want the bill. The last issue was that you had to prepay for the meal $75 per person, yet they still gave me a bill for the full amount. We did have drinks but it was only a small fraction. So they removed the charge, but kept an $80 gratuity…I had also already pre-paid gratuity. So had to send it back again. The decor was lovely, but overall this was a poor experience. Omar did bring shots to us and the table next to us…unfortunately the damage had already been done. Not sure if it was because of the holiday, but I won’t be back to try it again unfortunately.

   The bartender, Mario, was so helpful and made my experience so much better. His personality and charm was appreciated. I will definitely return here.

   Mother’s Day. A simple brunch turned into 3 hours of begging for our food or a round of drinks. Our waiter (when he would grace us with his presence) smelled so strongly of pot that my daughter had to hold her breath. While the manager at the end of the afternoon did comp two glasses of champagne after I complained that the waiter automatically added 20% gratuity, my wife (the mother in Mothers Day) never even received the dessert that we prepaid and waited 45 minutes for.    We came here for my husband‘s birthday and everything was wonderful. This is some of the best food I’ve ever had it’s very hard to get everything perfect beginning to end but they did it from the seafood tower to our dinner to our dessert everything was exceptional. We love the art and the ambience of the entire place and will definitely be back soon

    The ambiance is beautiful and it had nice music. However you have to make a reservation just to get in and somehow I still waited 20+ minutes for a seat. I was sat under the stairs so it was pretty loud when people walk downstairs. I got the filet mignon with spinach and potato purée. The spinach was sour, but the potatoes were good. My steak was practically rare(asked for medium) and also tasted burnt(not sure how). However the server was nice and she was really helpful. My friend had the mussels and said they were really good! The servers were great and timely once we were seated !

    First impression when I walked in -hostess was not friendly at all. She was on her phone while I was talking to her and I had to repeat my question. Once dinner time was over every single chair was removed from the room including chairs at the bar, you have to pay for a table if you want to sit. They weren't welcoming to guests at all, treating people like everyone was there to cause trouble or something. They had an upstairs level to which access was blocked and you had to pay to go there. Meanwhile, earlier on, our waiter told us we could go there after dinner to take pictures etc. We reserved patio seating but apparently, their patio was just a small space at the entrance and we were way too dressed for that so we were seated in the main level dining room. Very deceptive. We will not be going back! Especially, since wit was a long drive from Ellicott City to get there.

    I’ll give this spot a definite 4 stars for the picture aesthetic but the food. Ehhh. The food is not good and the wait staff is terrible. I don’t think I’ll be back. A few times our food was cold and our waiter was not attentive at all. The Cherry Blossom Margarita was amazing. That’s the ONE positive out of the entire experience. If you go, take nice pics but that’s really all. Oh, the dress code? There is none. I saw people in there with dirty white Air Force Ones and tee shirts. “Business Casual”? Lmao yeah right

    The restaurant is really nice and the drinks were good. My issue with this restaurant was with the service, it appeared to me that there was only one waiter servicing the top floor. It took forever for the waiter to greet us, it took another 25 minutes after the greeting for him to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. Another 15 minutes to ask about our appetizers. Realizing that service was an issue we ordered our entrees along with our appetizers. I got the spicy shrimp which I enjoyed however it was on the oily side and my husband ordered the chicken skewers they were also good. I had no complaints with the appetizers. I lied the shrimp was oily. It took about 30 minutes for our entree to come, we ordered the grilled mix I probably got the name wrong but it had lamb, prawns, steak, chicken and fries. We ordered 2 sides which were the sautéed spinach and sautéed mushrooms. Both sides were good. But they did not come with our meal, the waiter kept sending someone to bring the sides but the sides never came. Maybe they were in Ukraine I don’t know.

    For was horrible an service. Server took forever, 5 tables where seated after me, got they food before mine an where checked on more then me. My food was over cooked, server didn’t ask how everything was. I immediately asked for my check and left didn’t even eat the food.

    Cocktails are disgusting, Food was mediocre at best, service was poor. Our waiter wasn't attentive at all. He asked what I wanted to drink and before I could answer he was across the room at another table. Bathrooms were disgusting. The only thing keeping this place open is the ambience and aesthetics.

    Place is masquerading as a five star restaurant. If you want a hood atmosphere and subpar wait staff (bartenders we're great), this is your place. If you like top shelf experiences, please skip this place.

    Asked for secluded table due to occasion. Didn’t get that. Drinks were expensive and nasty. Food was great. Dessert was beautiful but tasted mediocre.Ambience was nice. Don’t care to go back

    Great service. Food still needs a bit more final touches compared to the price. Drinks were also a bit disappointing. The service was amazing. I’ve been twice. Both times were exceptional. Music and ambiance are what you pay for. They are definitely one of the top spots I would recommend.

    Service was terrible. It took an extended period of time to get drunk orders and appetizers. The ambiance was tacky, and the pictures were clearly targeted and did not show the full breath of the space. The only thing “nice” was the huge gaudy chandelier. My dinner party was utterly disappointed. The food was mediocre. This restaurant will not last on Connecticut Ave if they do not make serious changes.

    Not only is the Mayflower beautiful, with its attention to detail, great service, and our dinner was way beyond our expectations. What a wonderful dining experience. Incredible for any special occasion, girls get together, or a date with someone special.

    I think you just opened and maybe your servers aren’t fully trained yet but the service was pretty bad. We were on time for our reservation but had to wait in line at the door for ten minutes behind three other couples because the hostess didn’t seem to know how to look up reservations on the computer. She told the couple in front of us she couldn’t find their reservation and it took an inordinate amount of time before someone else came over clicked a button and found it. Once we were finally seated we waited about 40 min before we were even given water or asked what we wanted to drink. The food came out pretty quickly once we ordered and it was good enough but was kind of underwhelming for the price and at that point we were so hungry it didn’t really matter what we were eating. Also portions are tiny but I guess that’s just DC. We left and got dessert elsewhere because we were still hungry and didn’t want to overpay for a tiny dessert that would take a long time to arrive. The decor is really pretty and I think the servers just need to be trained better or hire more of them, and then all the other stuff I complain about here won’t matter as much.

    Dinner during restaurant week: we waited for 20+ min even with our reservation. Many other patrons were complaining of having to wait 30 min or longer. Once we got to the table it took forever to order our food. The food was good though. I understand that it’s Covid and that people are short staffed, but at the same time it felt like they overbooked on purpose (it’s also a club so maybe they don’t care if people have to wait?)

    We were welcomed so warmly at the mayflower club. The recommendation the made were spot on and amazing. The food was delicious. The mayflower flambé was a fun presentation and delicious treat. Service was excellent and the ambience was great for a date night, very chic. We stopped by zeddies after dinner, for a fun way to end our evening. We look forward to returning.
