I have gone to Maya Palenque for a fairly long time and have never been disappointed. The food has always been good, the salsas are homemade, and the atmosphere is friendly.
Meals were not warm. Had to send back. Service was ok.
Willy and Luis were fantastic! Super helpful and quick to assist in anyway with a smile. Wonderful service!
Been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Novato...thought this one was it, but after trying it...thought the crab enchiladas I had were poorly done. Imitation crab served in a green chili sauce....not heated through were tasteless and overpriced.
The food was very delicious and the staff was very friendly helpful and good service .
Met my cousin for lunch. We were seated and served right away. There was plenty if time for us to chat unhurridly and the waiter made us the offer of homemade desserts. We were full and decided dessert might happen next time.
A bit of a sports bar, but the food is excellent and the service very personal and friendly. One of our favorite weeknight restaurants.
Two of the three of us had specials and they were very good. I had the chicken that had pineapple and it was very good. One of the others had the Prawns with peppers which he thoroughly enjoyed. The highlight for the third guest was the chichen nachos. They were very "clean" meaning you could taste the flavors and they weren't goopy.
Large restaurant with plenty of seating. Full bar. Unfortunately, the house margarita was pretty lousy tasting. I won't order that again. The food was really good. Some of the best salsas I've ever had. I had fish tacos and the fish was quite fresh. Their helpings are generous. I thought that the service was very good as well.
Very nice Mexican food with a Maya twist. I love the presence of many seafood dishes on the menu. The shrimp and crab combination dish was substantial and still moderately priced.
Nothing at this restaurant makes me want to return. The food was so-so; nothing to write home about. Wait staff was attentive and personable.
The food wasn't seasoned and the shrimp tasted frozen.
Very crowded and loud, service was so-so, food was so-so... we won't be going back.
Good food ...great service. Fast for lunch on a workday!
Nice place, good food. Only a couple options for the vegetarian, but very good. The tortilla chips were particularly excellent. The staff were warm and helpful.
The weather was good, so we sat outside. The waiter would only come outside occasionally. If we needed something extra we would have to wait for him to come outside. The food was the best part.
Food was as expected and good. We did have a concern about the service. We were overall taken care of, but we had 4 different serves. One took drink order and we were not ready to order our meal at that time. However she never came back. I motioned for someone else to come over as our first waitress never came back. He took out order and food delivered but another. Then wanted another drink so I motioned for a server and one happened to respond. I just wish I did not have to remind any server to come back. They were busy when we were seated, but after about 49 minutes it was moderately crowded. We got what we needed but I would rather more attention from person who was "responsible" for our table and not piece meal the service. I have eaten here before and this seemed atypical but was so off it needed to be mentioned. I will go back and hope things are more settled.
