I've dined here several times and even send friends to brunch here. The Food is amazing, tequila tasting outstanding/Drinks and atmosphere is beautiful. What's missing particularly at night is effective management and better servers. When I say effective management I mean if they were on the floor they would've observed what was happening. My dirty dishes were kept on the table empty even when my mains arrived. Table should be reset between courses and empty glasses and plates removed immediately. Server seemed half asleep, shirt was dirty and he kept vanishing to the BOH. My drinks took a very long time and he comped one but realistically just shouldn't have taken that long as I had the feeling he just didn't pick it up from the bar. Also, hard to get anyones attention for help when everyone has their backs toward guest and are too busy talking. Staff Is more concerned with cleaning and reseting empty tables than attending to actual seated guest.
Maya was such an amazing atmosphere! I came here for my birthday brunch and we literally ordered the entire menu. The food and drinks were great! The staff was so amazing, gracious, and efficient with our orders and so welcoming. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great birthday!
The staff was very pleasant and attentive. We loved everything about the brunch one of my favorite small plates was the Pan Dulce and the Maya salmon , also the margaritas were to die for and our waitress was always checking that we were ok with food and drinks. I will definitely come back again.
Has gone done from years past.
Enjoyed but food wasn’t quite what I remember from the past.
The restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague. Our reservation was super easy and the table was available on time.
The atmosphere was very pleasant, good and friendly service. The menu is clear and very delicious
Only the volume, mix of conversations and music, was disturbing sometimes.
On our next stay we'll visit Maya again.
Thank you and greetings from Germany
Maya is a great place for food and drink. I wish they would install some noise canceling infrastructure. It is too loud. But the food and drinks are great
Great Job, thanks for the booth..... we had a wonderful evening
Best boozy brunch in NYC. Reservations are a must!
Best bottomless brunch in the city hands down! The staff is so friendly, and the drinks and food keep flowing for two hours straight. This is a must do in the city.
Great Mexican food and service. Was able to accommodate me and my group of friends very easily. Fun energy.
Food and drinks are great !!! Great for celebrations
I Love this Restaurant for Brunch! I've come a few times over the years, and the experience has never disappointed, it's an ol' faithful spot. It is quite loud, so be prepared that it's a party brunch spot and not a quiet afternoon over a meal with a friend type of atmosphere. I always expect this going in, however, and only come for those types of afternoons. I feel like the service was slower than typical this time, it was quite busy and it seems the waitstaff may have been stretched thin, so we did not get our order taken until we had been seated for at least 45 minutes, however, we had a later Brunch reservation and we were able to stay until Brunch was over which was a nice alternative. We weren't in a rush, so once the food started coming, everyone was able to relax and enjoy. Everyone is super friendly, the food is of high quality, the drinks are very tasty, and it is just an overall great value. I sincerely hope this place does not change! It's been almost a decade since I first started coming here, and it's always a good time. I highly recommend.
Super loud. Super slow. Our table was in view of the bar. We could see our waitress (& all the others) putting in orders but it took an eternity for the bartenders to make the drinks. Food was fine but no better thank any other Mexican around town & not worth the cab fare. Noise level is intense! We won’t be back.
Great Restaurant clean , very close to home and easy access , friendly waitress , but noise level during the week end is very high ..
Too noisy. Cannot hear yourself or the people you are dining with.
Great cocktails and food. The bartender was attentive and fun. The blossom tortilla was amazing! We plan on returning.
Our waitress was horrible. She wasn’t pleasant and she was a little freaky. She would walk over to us and just stand at our table not saying anything. It was very strange and made us feel uncomfortable. We also thought that our food did not have the same quality as it has in the past when we come. we were very disappointed with the service and the food.
I have been to Maya MANY times before, I actually will still continue to go. The food is wonderful, the drinks are amazing, the atmosphere is crowded in the best way and I love it. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. However this time, I was VERY disappointed by the delivery of food. We kept getting food that we did not order, it took forever to get food that we had ordered. I wasn’t a very pleasant experience as someone who loves Maya. I will certainly go back, but it was sad to see this happen and the staff bringing the food did not care at all that they were bringing food that didn’t belong to us (and most likely taking away from a table that had ordered that food).
Service was very slow. 45 mins at table and one drink and no food. It was difficult to get attention of waiter for refill of drinks. Food, as usual was great. The timing was just bad. Have done here before at an earlier hour and the service was impeccable. Will come back, just before noon.
Great brunch spot. Unlimited shared plates and drinks for 2hrs. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. Great for groups
Enjoyed the experience very much. Food and service were both excellent.
The food was really great- the service was a bit off although we could easily see it was very busy. We felt a little rushed to order before our whole party was there, and then no one came back for us to put in our food order once they arrived for quite a while. Other than that it was great.
The place was a little too loud for my liking but the food was very good. We shared some guacamole for an appetizer and it was made just right- we asked for medium spicy and that’s just what it was. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and was also able to taste the mole chicken- both dishes were very good. Drinks and desserts also hit the spot. We went to let off some steam after spending a day at the hospital and Maya was just what the doctor ordered- a very good experience that we would definitely do again
Great experience, the food was delicious.
The brunch concept was unique and first time I ever heard of being able to order unlimited small plates on top of the unlimited mimosas. The food was amazing especially the chicken enchiladas and the chicken tacos. I would def go here again.
We went for their unlimited brunch and really enjoyed it! The guava mimosa and the traditional margaritas are delicious. These are not watered down drinks. The guacamole was an extra $15, but well worth it! The empanadas, corn and carnitas were are favorites. Our server, Marina, was excellent!
We have had several wonderful dinners at Maya. However, this past weekend we tried out their bottomless brunch as a family of 6 (all adults). One of my sons has a severe dairy allergy. Our waiter was amazing and took all the stress out of ordering food my son could eat - all the other servers that brought food to the table were also made aware by our waiter. There was an enormous amount of food, it was fun, stress free for us allergy -wise and delicious! We will definitely do it again. The only slight negative for us is that was very loud.
Great ambiance non stop food and drinks for brunch . Service was great
Perfect menu for food and drinks. Noise level measures at 72 decibels. Conversations are similar to shouting in ears in a night club.
We went for the bottomless brunch and it was amazing. The food was great. The service was top notch. Would be back and recommend it to others.
Food was good. Our waitress was great. Would have hoped not to be so cramped especially when we r 8
The food was overpriced but good. Took my girlfriend their for her 40th birthday and spent $160 on dinner for two, yet the restaurant didn't even offer a complimentary desert.
Love Maya one of my favorite brunch spots.
Best brunch in town
We had business meal with one of my co-workers from Japan. Fantastic food and vibe, however service was not at the high point. They had been very busy on Wednesday night and couldn’t pay attention to all customers. But I still recommend the place, it’s worth to try
We had an amazing time! The staff was so courteous and so accommodating for our late guests. My friends family only spoke Spanish and the waiter was translating the menu and was amazing! Everyone felt comfortable and happy!
Good food but you can’t hear yourself think let alone talk
