The food and experience is great! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars it's because they had no churros like before and their churros for brunch were the best! I didn't really care for the waffles as a dessert. Bring back the churros Maya! But overall, still love this place and would recommend to anyone!
My son had been to Maya for their brunch numerous times. This was our first dinner experience. My husband, son and I, shared the queso fundido for an appetizer. It was delicious. For dinner my son had the lobster taco board, my husband and I a mixed shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas. The presentation of our dinners was very appealing, the smell Devine and the taste delicious. Our beers were served with a chilled glass and we were very happy campers!
Good portions were too small for Mexican
White the waiter was for the most part attentive. The follow through for request was not. We request our food order several times and never received it at all. We finally gave up and asked for the check.
Excellent food and the staff was incredible! Their brunch deal is probably one of the best in NYC. Miss when brunch was 2 hours not 1.5!
Margaritas were pricey but excellent! Service was very good as well. The portions of entrees were small but fortunately we had enjoyed delicious guacamole and chips before. We hear the brunch is excellent and will be back.
Food was very good and the drinks were great also. The server was very nice and always made sure we had a drink in hand. I do recommend the bottomless mimosas brunch. Won’t be disappointed.
We had a great brunch today at Maya. Our server kept the food and drinks coming. The highlights were the Maya Dogs (so good we had seconds) carnitas tacos and mini waffles. Our favorite drink was the Maya mimosa, a combination of blood orange and passion fruit yum! The staff was super friendly. A perfect place for brunch!
The Adobo chicken fajitas were tasty! Cucumber margarita was on point.
Food was great. Outdoor dining ambiance is complete opposite of indoor ambiance.
This restaurant is our go to place. Food is consistently great and we always have a great time.
Good guacamole and margarita but the menu seems different and the fajitas were not that good
We were able to book with just 45 minutes notice.
Food was good. Drinks as well.
I went to Maya forgetting that it was brunch time, I was hoping for the regular menu. I was very pleasantly surprised. First, the ambiance is welcoming and pleasant. More importantly, the brunch menu is full of winning dishes, carefully prepared with elegant, deceptive simplicity that showcases the ingredients. The ceviche, salmon, tacos were all excellent to spectacular, and the staff seamlessly bring them at the right time without your even having to ask. At $45 for bottomless brunch (and only $10 more for bottomless cocktails), it is a ridiculous value for Manhattan, or really anywhere. Go to Maya!
we were offered a combination of two types of fajita which ended up being $6 more expansive then the individual fajita, and we were not informed about this huge price difference.
they also were successful in tricking us on the tip - what they suggested was not based on the bill split between 3 people but the overall check so we ended up giving 30% tip which they for sure did not deserve
Food was really good and the servers were very friendly!
Drinks were good. Food was overpriced for what it was. Service was incredibly slow unfortunately. We went right when the restaurant opened so it wasn’t busy
Great place. No menus. Decided to stay anyway. Glad I did. However I wouldn’t return without menus.
Fun time! Great food, good margs!
Nice Mexican restaurant. Lively and loud bar scene
Asked for two plates of one item (plantain, lamb taco, etc) several times but the order wasn't completed properly. Was only brought one plate each time I asked for two of one item. Probably to make sure I didn't eat too much. I made sure to state loudly: 'two.' I understand that the restaurant wants to make money but then don't offer the promotion if you're not going to fulfill the demands of the customer. At the end, I asked for two plates of lamb tacos, two plates of plantains, and two plates of waffles. Only one plate was served for each. Disappointed. Chilaquile dish is way too heavy. Should be lightened up. Tastes like microwaved fast food nachos. Enfrilojades should be hot when served. Lukewarm is not very tasty.
This was my second time at Maya, and I will be back!
Went to have dinner but only ended up ordering an appetizer and margarita. After being seated I waited over 10 minutes for a waiter to take my order and after I received by starters, I received no other service until well after I finished by appetizer. What I ordered was good but disappointed with the service. Went to another restaurant for dinner.
Such an amazing experience especially good for someone with a gluten allergy
The drinks were delicious and beautiful. Go for the Rosarita and Maya margarita. The calamari is amazing. Crispy and flavorful. The fish tacos were such a good bite. We loved the queso fundido with chorizo and the corn soup. Don’t miss the corn soup. Great place for getting a lot of things on the menu and sharing. Going back soon!
The server was not very attentive. We did not get served enough for the bottomless brunch price to be worth it. We probably had 8 drinks combined (2 people). The food was also very bland. We did not enjoy our time here.
The food was 10/10. Service incredible. Drinks were strong. Added to my favorites list.
Food was good, but we had to sit outside in order to hear each other because it was so loud inside the restaurant you had to shout across the table to talk
Everything/ every aspect of Maya was great! Highly recommend the guacamole!
Dining room was so loud I had to sit outside. But that was worse. Two tables were so obnoxious loudly using the F word over and over. Then some kids came wandering through trying to sell candy. I just bailed. If you want good authentic Mexican food go to Sabor a Mexico II on 77th St.
We were harassed repeatedly by another patron and we asked for management to do something several times and nothing. Unfortunately the man attacked my family and I screaming and yelling obscenities. Just awful! I came a long ways for this trip and this should not have happened.
Simply exquisite! Loved the food and everything about this place. Can’t wait to come back. Definitely try the calamari! So tasty. Also the shrimp/crab enchiladas were the best I’ve had yet.
Great food and a wonderful wait staff. The only negative was the noise level. I am an elderly person and I had difficulty carrying on a conversation with my partner.
Our server was SO lovely and attentive, we rarely waited more than a moment for drinks. They also put in some starters for us to kick off our bottomless brunch, which was amazing because we were very hungry! Haven’t been back to Maya since before the shutdown, and am delighted they made it through that hardship, as every time I’ve come here it’s been a great time. We will absolutely be back another time, soon hopefully.
Food is delicious, drinks yummy as well! The restaurant is busy and the food is good, but place isn’t decorated in any way. Very plain atmosphere.
We were there for lunch and ended up participating in the ‘bottomless brunch”. It was nice but do wish the lunch menu was available . And the food was tapas style.
best fajitas i’ve ever had- so good!!
This was once one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants and then years ago management went WAY downhill to the point that it would take over an hour to get your food and staff couldn't do anything to help. I was hesitant to go back but I am so glad that I did. They have a refreshed, DELICIOUS menu and the service was back up to original Maya standards. Wine was great and every course was served efficiently and to perfection. I can't wait to go back!
Would have been terrific, but so loud we had to yell the entire meal and frequently repeat ourselves. A terrible place for conversation, but food was really good and nice atmosphere. Acoustics need A LOT of improvement.
My friends all had the chicken fajitas and they Said they were the best they ever had. I had fish taco and it was good
