Everything on the menu was really good. Drinks kept coming !
Went for a Sunday Brunch date with my partner. A little boisterous, but the food never disappoints!
The service was extremely slow to start with and we only had one drink when it was supposed to be unlimited after the 45 minutes.
After having words with the manager the service picked up.
Our waitress was very attentive. They needed more staff to respond to the busy restaurant.
It was extremely hot and noisey where we were sat.
The food was a bit below average.
Overall, after asking for more attentive service, we got our monies worth
The food was cool.. and the services was very slow ..
A friend and I went to Maya for Saturday brunch, and took advantage of their $49 unlimited food and drink option. Our experience was fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious, and non-stop. The crowd was quite lively, making it a bit difficult to have much conversation, but we weren't really there for that. I 100% recommend Maya.
I used to love this place several years ago and thought I have my husband take me there on my birthday! Waiter was a lovely young man, trying very hard to please and friendly! Needs to be promoted! Friendly hostess also! Had the special chefs special shrimp taco which was served strangely on a wooden sushi board! With rice and beans on the side! How does the chef think that can be eaten easily on a board ? Mistake! Taco was limp and totally tasteless! Big disappoint! Even under the dim lighting it is noticeable that place needs serious cleaning everywhere! Especially the bathrooms! Around the sink mold and tile that needs cleaning or replacing ! So sad this place has gone down hill! I remember some fantastic Valentines meals there! If the owner reads this: pls do something about all the above! You have good people but the food and cleanliness is a turnoff seriously!
Maya’s service was decent, but uncoordinated. Food was lacklustre, and the dessert that promised to be incredible (and looks amazing in the online gallery) was nothing short of cardboard. I would recommend that if you’re looking for a slightly upscale Mexican restaurant, you go somewhere else. Washrooms were dirty, like years of built up dirty.
This place is a MUST. Ive never been disappointed at any of my stays here and I recommend it to special people only! The brunch keeps me coming back over and over and we will be back very soon.
We went for brunch on Saturday. There were four of us. Great food, excellent and fast service. $49 per person for brunch. With the silly NYC tax (which doesn’t exist in PA), the total came to $213. The server was great but he was expecting more than a 20% tip. Great thing is though, the brunch truly is “bottomless.” I could have kept drinking if I wanted to. 2 hr limit, though.
A nice spin on Mexican food, the place was buzzing for a Thursday night. Food was very good, start with the guacamole with bacon delicious, would recommend the Chile Relleno and Slow Cooked Pork Carnitas. Service was good and available when needed. I find the lower avenues of the Upper East side have some great restaurants and this is one I would whole heartedly recommend.
We had an awesome experience at Maya for my boyfriend's birthday. Very nice staff. Food was delicious..the queso!!
Food was great. I went with my boyfriend for brunch. Service was awesome. Really nice employees. I will be coming again. Love the food and drinks
Crazy noisy- Impossible to even get one word across
While the food, service and ambiance are very good to outstanding, the only problem for us is the noise level, so we generally try to dine early (before 6 pm) when you can usually still have a conversation without yelling. Maya used to be our very favorite restaurant, but the noise level there seems to rise every year. Most younger patrons seem to have no trouble with a high volume of noise, perhaps because they are prepared (and sometimes prefer) to text their dinner companions!
Seriously, you can do better, while the price is low for NYC standards, the quality of the food was just unacceptable. No real Mexican taste, I taste at all actually, and the menu options poor. Change that or you will fail soon, charge more, get better quality food and drinks. Unless you are happy with your target clients do something. I am truly disappointed.
Celebrated my birthday with my girlfriends . It was everything I could have asked for and more. It was all my friends first time also. We agreed this is a great girlfriend best friend family friendly brunch . I’m very shocked it wasn’t packed . It’s a must do for the bottomless brunch !
A little mix up with our order but other than that everything was great as always.
Service was amazing and drinks were expertly made. The food was good - some really delicious, others not quite as tasty but overall a fantastic brunch.
We've been eating at Maya for years. The food is delicious with fantastic flavors! The frozen margaritas are the best! My favorite is the tortilla soup. It's to die for! I do wish they'd put the steak tacos back on the menu. The waiter said they'd still have the chef make it. I got the Maya house salad. It wasn't your typical lettuce salad. Everything was chopped small. I didn't want the avocado dressing so I was recommended the chipotle dressing. It was delicious! The only negative was the noise level on a Friday night. We'll be back!
We came here because we fell in love with the Dubai restaurant and this one pales in comparison. Guacamole and Margaritas were delicious but everything else, including the service, was distinctly average.
It was a pleasant experience. All of the food was delicious.
Awesome food! Great atmosphere inside! The bartender who served us our meal from start to finish was so pleasant and helpful and made the experience that much nicer:) we will definitely be back!
Came here for the bottomless brunch. We were early and still seated quickly. The food and drinks were amazing. Unlike other “bottomless” brunches they brought the food and drinks quickly and encouraged us to order more and more. Waiter was never far away and service could not have been better. Will definitely be back. All the food we tried was amazing, especially loved the tamales and the bacon. The squash quesadillas were also a big hit. Only complaint is that I got too full to try more, will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
I love this place! It's usually my Sunday brunch go-to. For $49 for both UNLIMITED food and drinks for 2 hours you can't beat that. My last particular visit though was a little rough. I had a reservation that I made a month prior for 2pm and they took almost an hour to seat us although we had a reservation. And then, the service was extremely slow when it came to drinks. They brought the food out very quickly but it was almost like they were limiting the amount of drinks we could get in the 2 hours. I get we were a big group but this wasn't the first time I had a large group of over 15 people come in for brunch during this time. I hope that this was a one-time incident and won't happen again because I absolutely love coming here. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are strong. Such a great place for brunch, birthdays, dates, and bringing the whole family!
Wilson was attentive, friendly, and took excellent care of our party. We LOVED our brunch experience, and can’t wait to return!
Great place for a bottomless brunch. Our waitress was so nice and provided great service. The all you can eat was awesome as well, we were basically full and hadn’t even been through half the menu yet. Food was very good. Would definitely recommend it for a Sunday afternoon and will definitely be coming back.
Food used to be much better. Both selection and quality of the brunch seems to have gone down over the years
Maya was great! The Rose sangria was excellent. Food was also really good. We had tacos, enchiladas and guacamole among other dishes and everyone loved their meal! It’s a favorite place!!
The food at Maya is consistently excellent. We went during a particularly hot and muggy day in the City, though, and the AC was not keeping up with the outdoor temps. Our server was pouring water and ended up over spilling on me because he said the pitcher was too full and the heaviness made control difficult. Still, we always make our way to Maya whenever we're back in NYC.
The specialty drinks are always on point, the portions are always more than abundant, and food quality never disappoints.
Unbearably loud and waitress rarely checked on us. The hostess was very nice though.
Went on a Thursday night and it was very very loud.
Great food, drinks and service. Love the idea of not only unlimited drinks but also unlimited small plates. Everything was delicious and it’s nice not having to commit to one entree. Much nicer crowd then typical unlimited boozy brunch!
You cnt never go wrong making a reservation at Maya. Great parking, amazing cocktails and omggg margaritas. He best service and friendly attendants
This is my 4th visit and more to come.
Awesome!! Celebrated my 23rd birthday here. Have to say one of the best birthdays ever
Amazing Mexican food, great atmosphere 👌
We had such a great time here! Maya is always my go-to for brunch. It is simply the best. I celebrated my 30th birthday and am so happy that I did. Vincent is the best!!! He was so friendly and hospitable and helped to make my birthday extra special :)
I have been a Maya fan since it opened. Now I am disappointed. The menu changed and not for the best. They had a great dish called Yucatan lobster & shrimp and that is no more. Their salmon has been tasty but now it comes with no side (delicious potato dish) but sits on a plate with nothing else. Why go back?
Maya was our first date restaurant and we return especially to celebrate that occasion every year since in addition to other times.
The food was incredible! We went for Sunday brunch and our waiter suggested bringing one of everything and then we could order more of what we liked.
Surprisingly great food, better than expected given the bottomless deal. Waitstaff was very attentive and friendly.
