This was our first visit to Maya Bistro. My friend is high maintenance and requested a number of minor changes to her order. All were graciously accommodated. The restaurant is airy, light, quiet, and a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Our food was delicious, and the apricot dessert was both yummy and beautifully presented. I'm already going back with friends next week. I do wish they had handicapped parking for my friend and more parking in general.
Loved it. Great menu!!!!! Great prices and value!!!! Nice staff too! You should go or better yet call for delivery so I can have a table.
Lovely staff; great food; friendly service. We’ll be back!
Maya Bistro was a wonderful find in North Arlington. The service was great. Our wait person was attentive and friendly. The staff who brought the meals were on the mark.
Each of us ordered something different and noone was disappointed from lamb dishes to chicken to veggie choices.
I am sure that this will be on our friends list as they still live nearby! We may also frequent the bistro from time to time even though Arlington is not our home.
Very nice and attentive staff. A little too expensive relative to other Mediterranean restaurants and portion sizes. Overall, it's a nice neighborhood restaurant.
Our first time and all three of us very much enjoyed dinner at Maya Bistro on Lee Highway in North Arlington. (Entrees of grilled salmon, lamb chops and a beef and lamb special entree.) Warm and prompt service, delicious food and a nice comfortable setting. Highly recommend.
Service and food were excellent. Atmosphere is lacking.
The food is so fresh and delicious. My daughter and I enjoyed it all!
Great food, ambiance and service. An excellent new gem!
Please add this restaurant to your regular rotation or date night. Uncomplicated, high quality food at reasonable prices. You can have kabobs and traditional Turkish dishes. Next time I’m getting the whole branzino because it looked great.
Great neighborhood restaurant! We especially love the fresh bread and spreads!
We've dined there several times always a great experience. Excellent food, friendly staff, and fair prices!
Falafel salad was delicious. Had a fun time and got my fortune read from my Turkish coffee!
Just a great restaurant with ambiance and flair. Delicious Food. Excellent Service. Neat, clean... a real keeper. Bravo.
Very nice evening with delicious food, excellent service and a lovely setting
A very welcome to Arlington’s restaurant scene. Well prepared dishes and tasty.
A great new addition to North Arlington--featuring Mediterranean dishes and delicious Turkish wines. The tapas for 4 was gigantic and we could barely finish it...then among the 4 of us, we shared 3 dishes-a grilled fish, a shrimp and a chicken dish.
Staff were friendly and helpful-when our server had difficulty guiding us for a wine choice, she brought someone over to the table who offered to let us try three wines so we could decide.
After hearing good things about a neighborhood restaurant, we went to Maya Bistro for lunch Sunday. Brunch (mostly egg dishes) was available as well as main menu items. I ordered the baked zucchini while my friend chose the dolmas and an omlette. All were delicious. The service was attentive and prompt. All in all, a great dining experience.
Wonderful Turkish menu; meats were perfectly cooked to our medium rare request. Will definitely return!
Great new neighborhood treasure, good quality home made Turkish food, no wait time and don’t feel rush to leave.
The mezze platter was a nice introduction to the menu and filled us up enough to share one entree be the two of us. Easy parking and lovely staff. We'll be back.
Our dishes were filled with fresh vegetables and crisp greens, and were tasty. The staff are very friendly, and remember you from past visits. I plan to be a regular here.
Extensive delicious menu, labels for gluten free and dairy free, nice spacious airy light setting, attractive looking bar, good soundproofing for a reasonable noise level allowing good conversation. And they make mojitos! Definitely will be going back.
This was our first visit to Maya Bistro and we'll definitely be back. The atmosphere (in a strip shopping center right on Lee Highway) is nothing special but the owners have made the most of the simple space, and the food and service were excellent. We really loved the Turkish rice pudding for dessert!
Fantastic food and even better service! We are so lucky to have you in our neighborhood!
This was our second time at Maya Bistro bringing two other couples with us. It's such a cute, little neighborhood place that makes us want to return. The staff is always very friendly and eager to make suggestions. Their mezze platter is out of this world delicious. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent restaurant. Will definitely go back. Service was excellent and portions were very large. I had the best moussaka I've ever had there.
I've gone for both brunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly. It's a turkish family and the traditional hospitality shines through, especially when it's less crowded and they have more time to focus on you. For brunch we ordered the Turkish traditional breakfast to share in the middle of the table (olives, cucumbers, honey and jam, bread, beyaz peynir/feta cheese). It was simple, but delicious. We coupled that with Maya meze for two (there were the of us) and of course endless glasses of tea. That really would have been enough, but I wanted to try as much as possible and and there were some favorites on the menu. Menemen (scrambled eggs with tomatoes and peppers) was a tad bit bland, but still satisfying. The çılbır looked good, but definitely needs lots of bread to sop up the egg yolk and tomato/yogurt sauce. For dinner, we did the mixed meze again. I love the sigara böreği (maya cigars, I think), the roasted eggplant with pomegranate and the red pepper and feta spread. Friends were really impressed with the grape leaf dolma. Separately, I added mücver (zucchini patties). They were excellent. I could add a side of rice and make a meal of it. The güveç (vegetable stew) had the right flavor, but something was missing. I hear spinach pie is the way to go. Their tea and baklava are fantastic. It's not too syrupy sweet. I look forward to trying more when I return. They are still new, open about a month, but they seem to be doing well, have the service down, and are on their way to becoming a local favorite.
everything we tried was delicious, including the dip sampler, moussaka, lamb, baklava! You can buy a bottle of wine and take home anything you don’t finish - bonus. Service is good but they are still working out the kinks. In time that will be 5 star too.
Delicious! Great service too. Wonderful neighborhood bistro.
My family had a lovely dinner--even when our toddler would barely sit still! The restaurant is kid friendly, with moderate noise level and patient, welcoming staff. The food was wonderful--zucchini cakes, moussaka, htipiti, flatbread. Only the shrimp was lackluster. The owner greeted us warmly. I love to see a new local restaurant succeeding. We'll be back!
Lovely addition to Lee Highway. Beautifully designed decor. Food was excellent and service very friendly.
The food was great. The babaganoush was delicious. Our waiter was awesome.
Wonderful meal; dining room is very nice, airy and quiet. Will definitely return.
Excellent service, fine representative menu that complements the other nearby Turkish restaurants. Plus it’s within walking distance! We’ll be back.
One of less than a handful of authentic Turkish restaurant here in the DC area. Their Bronzino was charred to perfection and was extremely fresh. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
my wife and I feel very fortunate to have had Maya Bistro open up within walking distance. Very good food, and nice ambiance. Service can be a little slow, but nothing to worry about.
Terrific, family-run restaurant with yummy Turkish/Mediterranean food. We enjoyed the moussaka and that evening’s fish special (wonderfully prepared and served whole—so say something if you prefer not to see the head or tail). Our server recommended wine pairings—both Turkish and both quite good. The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere is modern cozy. We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back!
Family run restaurant with very friendly and helpful service. We shared the mixed mezze and mixed grill. Both came with a good variety of foods and everything tasted great.
food was tasty and fresh. Bread excellent. Turkish coffee great. The service was terrific. Impeccable. Will go again and try more of the menu offerings.
