We had a very good Easter Brunch at Maya. Thank you.
Food was just ok. Margaritas tasted like they were from a mix. Service was very poor at Easter Brunch. 20% automatic service charge on a buffet with poor service is hard to accept.
Took the family there for Easter Brunch. They had a fantastic Mexican spin on many of the classic brunch items that will keep us talking about the mail for quite a while to come. The panoramic view of the Beaver Creek ski runs added to the overall experience. I'll look forward to my next trip.
We were staying at the Westin, so made sense to eat here. Walked in without a reservation and was told that the restaurant was full capacity (it was empty) and we’d have to eat at the bar. So I opened my trusty open table app and presto, instantaneous reservation for 4. Turned back to the hostess and said we have a reservation, and we were seated immediately. Weird.
Anyway, food was decent, margarita was what I needed and the restaurant never filled up.
The food was just average and the drinks were not good. The server was friendly but forgot things like side dressing, silverware.
Overpriced, poor service, lots of children.
Paul was our sever and was professional and friendly. He steered us right in our dinner and drink selections . Delicious! thank you, Paul! We will be back!
Good food, atmosphere and service. One of the better restaurants in the Avon, Beaver Creek area
Loved it! We went to Maya after a big ski day. We've been to multiple Sandoval restaurants, including Maya, previously so we had fairly high expectations. We were able to make a reservation and get in promptly. We had the house margaritas, which were great, along with the tableside guacamole, which was made to our specifications and which we enjoyed tremendously. For entrees, we had the crab and shrimps enchiladas and the fish tacos. Both were wonderful. Though it was energetic, it was quiet enough to have a conversation, which we appreciated very much. It was a great evening!
I've stayed at the Westin Riverfront many times and, regrettably in hindsight, this was my first experience at Maya. If you like Mexican food and you like the inspired use of fresh ingredients, you'll love Richard Sandoval's Maya. All of us did. The queso is served over an open flame table side and if you add steak it's enough for a lighter meal. The guac is also prepared table side and was done with just the right amount of lime. If the tacos sound good and you can't decide (I couldn't) they'll bring you all four varieties for a reasonabl`e additional charge. The Red Bird Farms chicken had the most delicious mole ever and was served over a plantain hash that was incredible. We can also recommend the Colorado bass and tex-mex chicken enchiladas (they're huge!). Watch out for the margaritas at altitude - awesome but doubly powerful. Also if you're an SPG member you get 10% off so there's that. We loved Maya so much we went two nights in a row.
I have eaten at Maya NYC many times and the food here sadly was mediocre at best.
Good food. Good vibe. Unfortunately there was a massive party with tons of pre-teens and their parents who were not bothered that the kids were so loud, rude and disruptive. My suggestion to Maya...take note of party size and amount of children and party. Too much noise and a big disappointment
The mexican food here was outstanding. Our Waiter Paul was excellent and made the meal more memorable with his suggestions and perfect service.
The food at Maya does not disappoint. Whether you want simple, traditional Mexican fare or something unique you will be pleased. I had a fabulous lamb shank. Excellent!
Everything was wonderful, Guacamole very small portion, but food was great, service is outstanding.
Great Mexican food, great ambience, and good service. The tortilla soup was outstanding as were the Mahi mahi tacos. And I'm not usually a fan of churros but these and the sauces accompanying them were fantastic!
Matt was a great waiter. The street tacos are wonderful. Nothing could have been better. Free valet!
Cannot say enough about how much my husband and I loved Maya! First of all the salsa and warm chips are addicting, but be careful not to fill up on them! Tableside guacamole with tuna tartare is a must, it was served drizzled in a delicious chipotle sauce. Our server made perfect recommendations and even helped us modify a dish to be gluten free, which by the way almost the entire menu already is gluten free. Seriously intense tequila list but we were able to treat ourselves to a pour of one of our favorite rare extra anejos that is impossible to find elsewhere. Beautiful decor and ambience, amazing service, and incredibly flavored dishes. The most unique hotel restaurant we’ve ever been to!
every time we go we enjoy the dinner
service was friendly and helpful
food was good
we aren’t big mexican food eaters, but we found this enjoyable
give it a try
Very good restaurant at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Beaver Creek (Avon, CO) Great Mexican food selections. I was on a gluten-free diet and was able to find choices. High quality ingredients. Great tasting food. Also, very good for breakfast. Loved the Huevos Rancheros and gluten free too!
Tequila bar and great margaritas. Excellent table side guacamole, love the queso. Food is consistently fresh and good. Service is good. Enchiladas are my personal favorite although mahi tacos are also very good.
I love the food, the service could be a little better. Our server was very friendly but appeared to have too many tables to adequatly service our group. I would not have commented but this is the 2nd time it has happened.
Food was good but service was terrible. Over 25 minutes to get first round of drinks to the table. Appetizers arrived but no chips to eat the tableside guacamole. Had to go to the bar and ask the hostess for tortilla chips. Basic error for a Mexican restaurant.
Server was terrible.
Excellent service. Loved the table side guacamole, queso fundido, and brisket tacos. Atmosphere is very cool.
Consistently good Mexican food. Excellent tableside guacamole.
Wonderful service! Will be back!
Excellent evening out at Maya. Valentines’ Day special was delicious; dessert could have been better. Service was timely and efficient. Guitar music was an added plus.
Menu has changed considerably again and not for the better!
Service was slow and the food was just okay. Your options are limited in Beaver Creek.
Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Unusual dishes and variations on usual Mexican fare. Yummy!
Food and drinks were ok; service was inattentive. Wouldn't go back or recommend.
Great food and service. Quality food for comfortable pricing. Great fresh guacamole made on the spot with chips and awesome tequila . Great job, keep it up and we will be back for more.
We enjoyed our meals. Great hotel restaurant they were attentive. great experience
Over the past five years we keep trying this restaurant. The ambiance, cocktails are very good, the guacamole is OK but it's downhill from there. The appetizers and entrees are always disappointing. We are not sure why it's so difficult to make fresh, healthy Mexican food that taste good. I got the Mahi tacos and if I was not so hungry I probably would not have eaten them. My daughter who is a vegetarian ordered the vegetarian enchilada and only took one bite. My son and his friends ordered various types of tacos and said they were all bad. Even the dessert churros were burnt. I don't understand, you are in a nice hotel and and a nice atmosphere, why can't you make great food? Do you ever notice how empty the restaurant is?
Waitress was really really good . Staff bringing food was marginal. Gentlemen flipped one of my meat pieces back on plate and then had his hands 1/2” from food explaining stuff .
Tableside was great but small portion (expensive for amount). Carne Asada despite being touched by the staff during serving. Margarita was average, tacos were sub-par (ordered no beans and they came extra beans). Flan was decent but different (firm vs expected flan form), the deep fried ice cream was great.
Again average for price but the wait person (forget her name ) was really really good.
Slow service bad food
We went for NYE and had the 6 course dinner they were offering. The food was excellent. The dishes were creative, beautiful and delicious. The staff was great with my kids and got them NYE hats and necklaces. The kids had a buffet available to them with kids food. It was a good set up. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a beautiful bar.
