The restaurant was closed at my reservation time. Turns out they are closing for good tomorrow. The executive chef was incredibly rude and offered no restitution despite May’s advertised offering for art gallery passes “with brunch”

Phenomenal dishes loaded with flavor and finesse. If you haven't been yet you must go! The signature cocktails were excellent and I highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer. Everything was delicious And the service was knowledgeable and attentive but never too much. 😊👍👍

Was pleasantly surprised by the delicious cocktails and good food. Found the portions a little small for the price but it comes with territory with an a-la-carte style restaurant like this. I would definitely go back.

I was so disappointed after reading the reviews…..the candles on tables were not lit on a blizzardy winter evening…. The food was extremely mediocre and the pairings didn’t make sense to me. Pretty sure the creamed corn was from a can. Items were presented differently than the menu description. One other couple had braved the roads….service was extremely lacking considering two tables were occupied. The cocktails were very good….made up for the lack of a decent meal. Had the sweet potato brownie gifted to us by our server and it was not worth the calories. Had zero depth….lacking in spice to bring out the sweet potato flavour. Portion size in my view was increased to make up for lack of flavour, presentation was poor. Overall I would recommend for cocktails before a show but would eat elsewhere.

Located within the art gallery, May is a great place to go for a bite to eat before attending a show at the nearby Winspear or Citadel. Nice views of City Hall. The plates we tried were all designed to be shared. The presentation and flavours were good, though it is a little on the expensive side.
