Maxwell's on Main
Great place to go for a nice bite. Menu is not extensive but what they make is yummy! Great service and relaxed feeling.
The chicken and waffles were outstanding
Drinks were very good
Will definitely be back
Expensive, yet not impressive choice for a birthday dinner. Food was just pretty good. Service was pretty good. Ambiance tired ( huge leak marks on ceiling and dirty lighting). Beer list …very few IPAs. Dessert menu limited (3 choices). Did really like the pulled pork and sweet potato quesadilla though!
Great spot. Some of the best comfort bar food around with nice beer selection and lots of drink variety. Doesn’t get much better than M.O.M.’s in Doylestown! Highly recommend the chicken Sammie and Cuban sandwich.
Was having a hard time booking a reservation when I fell upon this place where I had no problem getting a table. Now I understand why— the food was uninspiring and the beer was flat. I’d pass on this one.
Aside from witnessing Dr Oz descending the stairs from the upstairs dining area as my “appetizer” the meal was great as usual.
Maxwell's on Main is a quaint restaurant with a comfortable ambiance. The staff was attentive and the food was good.
We hadn't been in for some time and it was nice to sample the current menu. Our entreé food was excellent and our server was outstanding. The shrimp and grits I ate was really nice...the grits were not "gloopy" and the flavors were rich. My spouse's Mediterranean salad was equally satisfying. The single complaint about our visit was relative to desert...the brownie was stale which somewhat was disappointing. So that's the only reason this wasn't a five star review "this time".
Casual atmosphere, simple menu, great food and our server Grant was top notch!
NFL Sunday ticket.
What can I say. It's some of the best food you can get in Doylestown.
Amazing food and service. I can’t say enough. Must go back. High quality!!!
We always have a good experience here but this visit was especially great! With all the staffing challenges restaurants are dealing with right now, it is expected that service may not be as good or you will have to wait longer for your food. Not at MOMs! We arrived right on time for our reservation and were sat right away. Our server was great, food came quick and was really good! I highly recommend!
Our whole family enjoyed the meal and will visit
Great food and beer selection. Open air place on a perfect night.
Wouldn't recommend. The food was not particularly good. One person in our party sent back her drink, which was one of their signature drinks. Tables were sticky. We won't be coming back.
Our server was very attentive. I had the chicken and waffles and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Our chicken was too well done and my wife’s sandwich didn’t have a lot of meat. The collard greens and waffles were delicious.
Great foot and ambiance!
Parking was a bear for everybody in our party. Food was very good. Very accomodating server. Nice to be able to eat outdoors for a party of six upstairs on the deck. Recomend for sure.
Good meal and atmosphere. Would definitely try them again.
Excellent southern type food. I had the fried thighs and fries and it was excellent.
Although everything seemed to be freshly made/made in house, the traditional food items it’s not at all what you expect it to taste like. I expected the fried chicken thighs to be bone in. They were pounded down chicken thighs cutlets, breaded and (double?) fried. It was so fried that parts of the breading were inedible. The breading and seasoning tasted like Tyson buffalo chicken strips. The ranch had too much herb (dill?) in it and it was too potent. The hand cut fries in regular ketchup was good. We hoped dessert would save the meal but unfortunately it was worse. The chipwich ice cream sandwich came with two homemade chocolate chip “cookies” that tasted like a thick, dry, health food oatmeal cookie with some chocolate chips thrown in. The vanilla cream was fine. When we first arrived, a few people, including my husband and I, had to wait a while before we saw someone (who was the waitress) to greet us and take us to our seat. We saw her a few times but she never once asked us how our food was. I’m curious as to why. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meal and we will not seek coming back to dine anytime soon. The atmosphere and building were nice.
Party of 3 and we each thought our dinner was great! Chicken and Cornbread Waffles, Jambalaya, and Roast Beed Handheld. We did not know how delicious collard greens could be!
Wanted to be outside and MOM's offered roof top setting for a family brunch. Service was excellent - all meals for large group brought out at same time. Very generous portions nicely done. Perfect for informal Sunday gathering.
Beer selection was good and the menu interesting. Food quality very good but under seasoned for my taste. Loved the brick wall and copper ceilings but decor was lacking.
We used to love this place. They changed the menu and the food was terrible. Service was very slow
Absolutely phenomenal! Dinner and drinks were delicious!
Don’t really know where to start.. the menu is extremely limited, two of us ordered steaks, they came out and said we only have one steak who wants it.. the food was gross, I mean gross, cold.. it was so bad I felt bad complaining that I asked for a box to take the whole meal home.. the server was nice, the place looks decent inside, could be cleaner but the food was terrible!
Good place to have dinner with friends in Doylestown.
Nice place for drinks and light fare. A band was playing upstairs with great ambiance!
Dinner was delicious and staff very attentive. Recommend highly
Had their stuffed meatloaf and it was perfect. Not normally the thing most people order in a restaurant, but I'm glad I did.
Excellent food and service. Miss the Belgian beers that used to be on the menu, but a good selection of craft beers.
We went to MOM’s on a Saturday night and the server we had was nice and welcoming. When we received our food the amount of spicy mustard on the Cuban was intense and my fiancé asked if he could have it remade with no mustard after only taking two bites. The server said she would go ask the boss and then came back stating that he stated if we wanted a new one made we would have to pay for a whole new dish. This was distasteful and not the way someone should run a business involving food in my opinion. It was only when we pushed for new food to be made because he was not going to eat what was given to him that the boss decided to accommodate. Everything else was good and the server was very nice and tried her best to assist us. I would probably never go back again with someone running the establishment trying to force costumers to spend $28 on a Cuban sandwich because they over load the mustard.
I was seated at a booth that had a seat with a large tear in it. The wings were okay. The loaf of bread was served hot and fresh and was tasty. Jambalaya had a good spice to it, but the shrimp didn’t have the firm texture I’m looking for in a Jambalaya. Service was very good as was the beer selection.
Service was good and the server was attentive. The food was nothing special and very plain, but edible. I was appalled at the lack of cleanliness though - when walking to the bathroom there was a door opened into a storage area or kitchen and it was disgustingly dirty. A sign on the door said "Keep door closed at all times" but it was wide open. If I would have seen this prior to eating we would have left.
Food and drinks pretty good. Fun place. Love the menu. To loud for a date. Reasonable pricing.
Great food . I had the steak meal and it was perfect.
Really good food.. better than expected! Great beer selection. Wonderful location in the heart of Doylestown.
