Maxwell’s is located in a very modern upscale hotel located along the Mississippi river. The views of the river are really nice. We were staying at a COE campground about 13 miles from Muscatine. We have a small 25 foot RV and we were able to park it directly across the street from the hotel. We were very pleased with the quality of food and service at Maxwell’s. My wife had a shrimp and pasta dish and I had the Ahi tuna. We will return if our travels take us back through Muscatine. We highly recommend going there if you are traveling through the area.

My book club meets here monthly. We like the food and always have good service. We do miss some of items that are only available at lunch time such as the shrimp tacos.

Worth driving 2 1/2 hours just for a terrific dinner at Maxwell’s. Everything just wonderful. Sensational Merrill Hotel also! And breakfast is just as great.

The best Brussel Sprouts I’ve ever tasted. The minimalistic ambience with a view of the river is enough reason to try the restaurant.

Maxwell’s never disappoints! We have filet which was cooked to perfection, asparagus & seasoned fries. We’ll definitely be back!
