Food was great with great service!
The food is always excellent and the service is always great. A very consistent choice.
I got the fired chicken and champagne salad which was good. My wife got two sides but the Mac and cheese which is usually great had noodles that were over cooked and the flavor wasn’t that great. The Brussels sprouts were very good though. They comped the Mac and cheese.
First wine pour was a little light as well.
We’ll go back but they’ll have to really shine
We will be back! Wonderful food and drink options.
One of the best brunches in Fort Worth!!
Fried chicken is amazing
Do yourself a favor and order it
I don’t like fried chicken and woke up the next morning craving it
We went for brunch. Fried chicken is fantastic!! The jalapeño cheddar grits were amazing as well!
A true gem for brunch!
First time visiting, the service and food was exceptional.
Max's Wine Dive has never disappointed. I have been for happy hour with friends, dinner with friends/family, and brunch with friends/family. We all like the variety of options and how the menu changes.
The attention received from the staff was incredible. The manager, chef, and waiter doted on is like we were royalty. I cannot say enough kind things. Also, the food was delicious. It is extremely hard to find gluten free fried chicken and they did it well.
Every time we go to Max’s we love our experience! Quality food, great music (at a soft background volume), and a fantastic staff of employees - from the servers all the way to the managers! Best way to relax after a long week.
Love Max's Wine Dive... the vibe, the food, the service - all top notch. One of my favorite places to dine.
We went there last Saturday to celebrate my birthday with a group of women! We loved everything from the food(the pb&j wings are to die for) the atmosphere and the service- logan was our server and was top notch! We loved it so much, we came back the next day for their brunch. We asked for Logan again and of course service was amazing. We each had a different mimosa and tried a little of everything. I got the chicken fried steak poutine and my friends got the breakfast nachos and the honey buttered Benedict. All of it was delicious! Would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, you will not be disappointed and we will be back
We were seated as soon as we showed up, about 10-15 minutes ahead of our reservation. Wines seemed a bit over priced but they did have a good selection. Food was good. We will come back.
Max never disappoints me
Excellent experience, good food, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, good choice of music.
We attended this spot for fathers day as we were looking to try something new. We went on Sunday for brunch and loved it! My husband had the southern fried chicken with pancakes and I had the chicken wings and waffles, they were both excellent meals. We loved the options of mimosas and can't wait to go back for a date night to try wine selections...
I made a last minute reservation for Father's Day to celebrate with my husband after doing a google search for restaurants that allowed reservations. This was a fantastic pick! He loved it and so did I. Our server was awesome! He was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately I don't recall his name at the moment but he was young, thin and had a beard. The manager came by our table to check in on our experience at the restaurant and we also told him how great the food and staff were. I was really happy with my pick because although it was Father's Day and there was a crowd there was no wait for our food or drinks. We definitely found our new date night restaurant.
Food was spectacular. I'd personally like a selection of cocktails, but since they are a wine bar, I am willing to miss out on cocktails if the food is good enough...and it was!
I can’t believe they won’t do half-portions or child-sized portions on something like pancakes. The server essentially said the cake pancake batter was too expensive to make and that we had to order a full order of pancakes (three huge pancakes) for a small kid or order chicken tenders and fries. Not exactly flexible. We were there for a Father’s Day brunch and were disappointed at their unwillingness to include kids in the menu. Also, they forgot to put the egg on my chilaquiles but brought it out when I asked. I wasn’t very impressed with the service. The food was tasty but the portion sizes are absurdly large - two people could easily split a brunch entree and be full.
Wonderful, just wonderful staff was very attentive! Food was also amazing
This place is sooooo good! I've been a couple of times and impressed each time. The employees are great, the food is delicious, and the environment is just cool. Would recommend this in a heart beat. Fried chicken is so tender and perfectly seasoned.
Always enjoy Brunch at Max's. The chicken wings and French toast are a MUST have. The service is really good and the chef always stop by our table to say "Hello."
Always a favorite go-to spot made extra special when my friend discovered 2 pearls in her oyster.
This was our first, but not last visit to Max's Wine Dive. From the moment we entered we felt welcomed. Our waiter Logan was excellent. He filled us in on the information about the restaurant, the wines and the menu. He continued to provide great service throughout our meal. He made a great recommendation of a NZ Wine Rock Bay. My husband had the Texas Red Fish with crispy brussel sprouts and cleaned his plate. I ordered the fried chicken champagne salad. The salad itself was delicious, fresh crispy lettuce, delicious bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, tomatoes. My only disappointment was that the fried chicken was pretty tasteless. Lesson learned, I am going to jump in and order the full fried chicken dinner next time. We will definitely be back. We had a leisurely meal and left with time to make it to Casa Mañana for a play. A great dinner.
Food and service was excellent!
The food and service were wonderful
The service was amazing, and the most of the food items we had where quite tasty. Would recommend the fried chicken, the collard greens and the max'n cheese. The pork shank was moist and tender, but lacked flavor for me. I'm only giving this restaurant 4 stars because I was quite disappointed with the wine selection. I was unable to find a red wine that suited my palate, despite being given several tastes, which was sad given the extensive list. I would recommend this restaurant for the food, service, and atmosphere, but not for the drinks.
The FOOD IS GREAT...It takes a moment because its cooked fresh...so have a drink as you wait..The hostess didnt say HELLO ....just simply DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION???We had to find some1 to clean our Table..the hostess sat us without menues and silverware... But our server was better..The manager took our drink order and then our waiter came... Over ALL it was fun, the FOOD WAS SUPER... But the service could have been better. im not talking about the wait for the entree... No one asked " Would you like a appetizer?" Or about dessert at the end so we didnt...
Our reservation was at eight and we were there at eight. They seem frazzled that we were there and we waited 15 minutes to sit. They put us outside and it was gorgeous to sit out there. However, my reservation was at eight and My guests and I didn’t get served food until around 9:30. We were starving and we were served in shifts. Two meals would come out and then five or so minutes later another meal or two would come out. Several meals were cold. This is one of my favorite restaurants and the last two times we have been there the service hasn’t been very good. It made me sad since we were there celebrating. The waitress was apologetic. I will give it one more try since I have loved this place for a long time.
Our food took well over an hour as they lost our order. They did give us a discount but we were really hungry so the delay spoiled our evening.
Everything was amazing.
Want be going back. Food isn't that good.
We’d stopped going to this place a few years ago because of the long ticket times for food coming out of the kitchen, but decided to try it again for an early Mother’s Day brunch. We had reservations at 12 and were sat right away. The service greeted us around 12:10 and took our drink orders. We ordered food shortly after we received our drinks, but our lunch didn’t arrive until 1 p.m. The server didn’t act like it was anything out of the ordinary or explain why it took an hour between the time we sat down and the time we received our entrees (we didn’t order appetizers). The food at Max’s is excellent, but don’t arrive hungry (or plan to catch a movie after you finish)! The service is mediocre and the kitchen is sloooow.
Had a great pre-Mother’s Day brunch with my wife. Chicken wings and waffles, and chicken fried steak poutine were both great!
Food and service outstanding it was very busy and we got left behind for a short time but the staff made us feel so welcome.
The service was terrible starting with the hostess, she was rude and unaccommodating. Then we waited for over 45 mins for our food and it came out room temperature-imagine eggs at room temp! When we asked to speak with a mgr he only gave us excuses but finally decided to comp our whole meal because he knew how awfully our experience was. I’ve been here several times and never had to level of service but it was especially terrible because it was my mom and sisters first time.
We've loved Max's for brunch for a long time, but hadn't been in a while. Looks like the menu changed and not for the better. We loved the unique menu with Southern/ Cajun flare. Now most of the menu is pretty basic, and the more "creative" items missed the mark. Hope to see it switch up again soon.
Great food as usual. Excellent beverage selection. PB&J wings set the bar.
