The food was mediocre and the service was bad. Very disappointed because this establishment gets great reviews.
The restaurant was loud, service was slow and the food was average.
Great mix of flavors
Tuna crudo and goat cheese croquettes are my fav's.
Good food and pleasant staff. Unfortunately, 3 out of the 4 dining spaces are very nice. We were seated in the 4th- a back room jammed with tables and nothing else to look at. Very smoky from the cooking area. Eyes and throat burned. They should not seat people in this boxy room which has no ambiance.
I had friends visiting from North Carolina, they loved it!
We keep going back as the food is excellent and the service is always very good.
A most creative menu with everything done to perfection. Fun to eat outside on a sunny evening with temps in the 70s/
Fantastic as usual
Good menus and service .
Loved the food and service. Looking forward to returning soon.
Horrible service. Food took over an hour to arrive. Waitress was absent and non-helpful.
I have been to Max' Harvest on several occasions, this time was my last. I made a reservation & specifically requested inside seating, even mentioned it again when they call the day prior to confirm. We got there and they said we could not sit inside, even though there were EMPTY tables, several of them. We sat out back. I asked for a gluten free menu and they don't have one, but waiter said they have items that are GF, however he did not point out which ones they were. I chose the mimosa bar, that was an issue. The bartender was more interesting in talking to guys than in serving me. At one point she was explaining drinks to someone, and pointed her finger at me and said "wait a minute", then continued her conversation and then entered the order in the computer (all while taking her sweet time), and there I am waiting for my drink and my food was getting cold. I seriously stood there waiting longer than 5 minutes. I ordered eggs over easy with hash browns and told the waiter make sure everything is gluten free. I was so sick that afternoon, I thought i was going to die. So not sure if the eggs were bad, or the hash was not gluten free. The experience was so bad, I will never return to this place. In spite of everything we tipped 20% but this is the last time they will see us there.
The food is great. The ambiance is quaint. The service is good.
OpenTable says it’s a $ restaurant but most of the dinners were over $30. That was our only complaint. It was a lot more money than we expected from the way OpenTable rated it. Should be $$.
We changed the reservation at the last minute and also arrived late. They were totally accommodating. The food was excellent and inventive at the same time. Service wasn't great, but the server made it all come together in the end with some complimentary after dinner drinks and a gift certificate.
Had a very pleasant brunch at Max's. We were lucky to get a table in the back away from the boisterous crowd up front. Food got mixed reviews. The beet salad got high marks but my fish tacos were just OK - not exciting or special in any way. I would not order them again.
The service was fine for a busy Sunday and the staff was helpful and attentive.
I enjoy Max’s. I make a point to have brunch every time we are in town. Food is excellent and love the Mimosa bar. I recommend Max’s, is pricey but worth it.
Nice setting, good relaxed energy. Better every time I come. The best is the food. Local, interesting, artistic ingredient combinations. Fun for foodies. Romantic inside or out. We are coming back sooner next time.
The food isn't as outstanding as it was with the former chef. Didn't think the excessive spice/heat was necessary for the beet salad and swordfish dishes. Sadly the prices have gone up.
The outdoor space in front is quite nice with a better connection (than before) to the inside restaurant.
3rd time there -consistently good and creative -wonderful service
Very interesting menu ! Loved the variety! Enjoyed the empanadas, cauliflower taco and snapper with broccoli and caramelized carrots. Max’s was recommended by a friend and they were right!
Fish was out and out BAD. Very fishy for supposedly fresh, mild fish. Uneatable. It was the daily special so no excuse. We complained to waiter. We did not eat the fish. We were still charged full bill. No apologies or anything. This is unacceptable. Would not go again!
Excellent value, great food and love the outdoor dining
Great experience- will be back- and don’t miss the Ricotta doughnuts !
Saturday brunch with bottomless mimosas on point. My friend who came in from OOT loved it. Food and drinks were great and the back patio couldn’t be more perfect.
Good service and great food.
Terrific food. Very creative and yummy. Vibrant scene. Always enjoy
Never disappointed.....the doughnuts are amazing! Service always friendly. Creative cocktails...good wine choices. Try the ribs.
The food is always excellent at Max’s Harvest. Loved everything including the drinks. Duane was our server for the second time and he’s outstanding. We have nothing bad to say only positive things. Will always recommend and definitely will be back.
From the gals at the front "desk" to the manager (Peter I think?)-- we have been made to feel welcome. The food choices are unique and excellent-- and great for sharing. The one potential drawback for some people might be that the seating is somewhat tight-- bit exactly conducive for a 'private' conversation, but hey- 'love thy neighbor' right?! This is our favorite go-to place!
Dustin (I think that was our waiter's name!) gave us wonderful service and the food was really good--well-prepared, complex flavors, just what you'd expect from a Max's. The bartender was great, too; searched for a bottle of my friend's favorite wine; went out of her way to be friendly. It was a really nice evening!!
Awful awful awful, and we have eaten there a fair number of times before when it was better. $50 steak that was maybe a $25 steak - not 16 ounces as advertised, and far too tough for “grass fed and aged...”. My wife’s grouper was butchered...they paid no attention to he “no carrot purée” and it came with a lot and was way too salty..so, sent it back...the burger she ordered instead came after that, no mustard...she asked for some and waitress never came back with it...so 10 minutes later, she came and asked “how is everything” and we gave her an earful.....”oh, we have no mustard and they have to make it” but, they never did...and so the burger was sent back, and the grouper and burger were removed from the bill.
No, I did not complain about the steak.
And, we won’t be going back there any time soon.....far too many other great choices in Delray Beach.
I love Max’s Harvest but the service on this day was not great. My reservation was at 12:30, I was told I’d have to wait 10-15 minutes before getting seated at 12:30. Our waiter was not attentive in getting our orders, after brunch two people in my party asked for coffee and it was never brought out. I love the food and brunch here so I’ll continue to go but I’m very disappointed on the service on this day :(
I had a fantastic meal at Max's Harvest the other night with a date. We enjoyed the bar and then moved to a cozy table outside behind the restaurant in a nice patio area. We ordered appetizers to split. The Brussel sprouts were very good! We also had the Cauliflower Tacos. They had a great taste - unique. Dessert was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. Homemade donuts with an Espresso dipping sauce.
Great service - great food! Parking can be challenging, but we got a space right across the street.
Duane was awesome. Appetizers were very tasty- red group entree was well prepared and flavorful.
Good food, area is legit. Recommend this place.
The food was second rate, no bread service, a real tourist trap. absolutely a most unpleasant dining experience. For the first time there and we looked forward to it, but everything was unpleasant including the awful sauces they covered everything with. Live and learn.
We went for a Valentines Dinner and enjoyed a very good meal in a quiet covered patio setting. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and had a pleasant, romantic dinner. I would certainly dine here again. The farm to table offerings are changing seasonally, well prepared and decent portions.
Great food, service and ambiance. There are no daily specials because everything is fresh daily and the menu changes daily, as well. Generous wine pours. Shared cheesecake dessert was superb....
Great especially outside
