Awful awful awful, and we have eaten there a fair number of times before when it was better. $50 steak that was maybe a $25 steak - not 16 ounces as advertised, and far too tough for “grass fed and aged...”. My wife’s grouper was butchered...they paid no attention to he “no carrot purée” and it came with a lot and was way too salty..so, sent it back...the burger she ordered instead came after that, no mustard...she asked for some and waitress never came back with it...so 10 minutes later, she came and asked “how is everything” and we gave her an earful.....”oh, we have no mustard and they have to make it” but, they never did...and so the burger was sent back, and the grouper and burger were removed from the bill.
No, I did not complain about the steak.
And, we won’t be going back there any time soon.....far too many other great choices in Delray Beach.
I love Max’s Harvest but the service on this day was not great. My reservation was at 12:30, I was told I’d have to wait 10-15 minutes before getting seated at 12:30. Our waiter was not attentive in getting our orders, after brunch two people in my party asked for coffee and it was never brought out. I love the food and brunch here so I’ll continue to go but I’m very disappointed on the service on this day :(
I had a fantastic meal at Max's Harvest the other night with a date. We enjoyed the bar and then moved to a cozy table outside behind the restaurant in a nice patio area. We ordered appetizers to split. The Brussel sprouts were very good! We also had the Cauliflower Tacos. They had a great taste - unique. Dessert was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. Homemade donuts with an Espresso dipping sauce.
Great service - great food! Parking can be challenging, but we got a space right across the street.
Duane was awesome. Appetizers were very tasty- red group entree was well prepared and flavorful.
Good food, area is legit. Recommend this place.
The food was second rate, no bread service, a real tourist trap. absolutely a most unpleasant dining experience. For the first time there and we looked forward to it, but everything was unpleasant including the awful sauces they covered everything with. Live and learn.
We went for a Valentines Dinner and enjoyed a very good meal in a quiet covered patio setting. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and had a pleasant, romantic dinner. I would certainly dine here again. The farm to table offerings are changing seasonally, well prepared and decent portions.
Great food, service and ambiance. There are no daily specials because everything is fresh daily and the menu changes daily, as well. Generous wine pours. Shared cheesecake dessert was superb....
Great especially outside
Awesome!! Loved it!
I went to Max Harvest with an out of town friend to brunch. The food, weather plus the outdoor dining made it a lovely time to visit with my friend. I would definitely repeat my visit!
First time here but its my new favorite! Cauliflower tacos app was phenomenal, the tuna crudo was extremely fresh with great flavor in the toppings and sauces albeit a bit too expensive for portion, the poblano relleno was a very original take on the mexican chile relleno and i loved it - very interesting flavor profile and tasty. I loved the fact that the seafood products are sustainably caught.... Service was quick, attentive and polite. Good wine selection, lovely ambiance and outdoor seating available. All in all great spot!
Delicious. I’ll be back next week!
A pleasant experience. The service prompt and friendly. The salad fresh and delicious. The entree (ribs) was wonderful.
We enjoyed our dinner at Max's Harvest. We opted to sit at the bar with Ivan. He was excellent. My date had the swordfish, which she loved and I had the scallops, which I equally enjoyed. We shared the doughnuts for dessert - what a treat. We look forward to going back to Max's soon. Fred Hansen
Had dinner with a business associate on a Monday evening.
Bottles of wine are half price on Monday evenings, which was a nice surprise.
We had an assortment of appetizers, all of which were excellent.
The octopus salad was large and delicious.
The tuna appetizer was delicious but puny in size.
Overall, I would say that I am eager to return for another meal.
Server very indifferent. Asked for a substitution on a salad dressing and was told no. Came back once to check. But Service left a lot to be desired
Dwayne is outstanding...wonderful service and excellent food.
Wait staff was spread a little thin...seemed like he had too many tables to cover, to cover any of them well. Food as usual was delicious, just not great service on this particular outing
Very disappointing. Waited over one hour for food when the restaurant was half full. The portions were unusually small, over salted and pricey.
Really wanted to get out of the fray of Atlantic but still in a vibe. Max's was a great spot. Just a couple of blocks off Atlantic, more of a local diner's "find". Indoor or outdoor seating is great. Menu featured good chooses for both my veggie husband and my carnivore self. Service was fine. I didn't have trouble like some of the other reviews. If anything, we were a little "overserviced" but fine. Loved the salads and the octopus. I tried a new dish- vegan- it was a stuffed poblano. Interesting. Don't know that I'd go crazy for it but my veggie husband thought it was delish. Moreover, it's just a good spot for watching and dining with locals that has nice ambience and a good vibe.
Great. Loved the gator
The food was creative and great. We loved the Shakshuka Barata (sp?), Brussel Sprouts appetizer, Gnochi and the Chocolate Bombe for dessert!
The music was wonderfully low when we first got there. We sat outside in front which was great. The music got too loud when it was almost time to go.
The server was helpful and friendly.
Great service. Delicious food. Strong wine selection.
On vacation, heard about the fabulous restaurants in Delray. That was no exaggeration. An astounding number. Somehow the menu and reviews for Max’s Harvest made it stand out. Every part of the meal was lovely. We were on the early side for dinner. All the food was great. Only weird thing was our server who could not answer even the most basic questions about the menu and was way too laid back in his service. I would go back.
I usually love this place. We dined on a Monday nite. The only thing worse than the special swordfish was the completely obnoxious waiter. Great happy hour and bartender. Too bad it went off the rails after drinks.
One of my favorite restaurant in Delray Beach. Excellent!!!
Outstanding service; excellent food;
We took friends from home, knowing Max's would deliver. They did absolutely, from Brussels sprouts to homemade doughnuts and everything in between. Superb. Thank you.
The food quality for me and my friend was ok. However, very expensive for the quality provided. There are many other better restaurants in Delray Beach for less money.
