This was my second time at Max’s. It’s a great, casual breakfast spot. Food is pretty basic but the ambience is pretty cool and retro inspired.
Booked a reservation at Max's for brunch and the whole experience was AWESOME!! The food was sooooo yummy!!! I'll think about those cheesy fries forever ha!! We went on a Sunday and they had a very talented live band playing!! The atmosphere was so fun. Lots of great spots for pictures too. Everyone who worked there was so kind & very helpful. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone!!
Loved it! Would go back!
Had a great lunch on Sunday. Staff were very accommodating when there was a glitch in Open Table with my reservation. The food, drinks, service and ambiance make this one of my favorite spots to get breakfast/brunch/lunch in Lancaster!
Everything was lovely. Server was bubbly, drinks were fabulous. Definitely would return. The love music was the cherry on top!
It was amazing there!! the food was immaculate, the service wasn’t the best, but my friends and I were glad not to be interrupted. it was pretty cheap especially for a group of teens, I will definitely be going back there!
I specifically asked the waitress about the contents of two of the shakes (sweet cakes and wake and shake). It was listed under “fancy junior varsity” and only “varsity” was listed as containing alcohol. She was only able to describe the one shake and said she had no idea the contents of the other. For the one she did know, she did not make any mention of alcohol when describing the shake, so I ordered the shake. I am pregnant, though you can’t tell yet, and obviously avoiding alcohol. The shake came and I thought I tasted alcohol so I waited to confirm before drinking any more. The waitress did not return for 25-30 minutes, despite my friend’s drink being empty pretty quickly. When she finally returned, I asked to confirm about the alcohol and the waitress was extremely rude, saying the menu clearly states their is alcohol in my shake (even though there is no description). I said it was not clear on the menu and said “it is actually but that’s fine” with such an attitude. The food runner and host were awesome and very nice. The food was good but based on the rudeness of this waitress I definitely won’t be returning.
Amazing food! Great atmosphere! I ordered the Fall Guy and it was delicious!
Out with my daughter
Great atmosphere and delicious food! Our server was amazing! The live band even sang Happy Birthday to our son! Loved it!
Excellent experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt a comfortable neighbor feel. Everyone was professional, friendly and practiced safe protocols.
Food and drinks were awesome!! Live music a plus for Sunday Brunch.
Felt good from the start. We were in town celebrating our anniversary Friday night through Saturday and went here for a late breakfast Saturday. We got their first reservation at 10am because we knew with COVID you’re never promised a seat anymore with the occupancy restrictions. They were unlocking the door when we arrived and they couldn’t have been more pleasant when we walked through the door. The atmosphere is awesome. Diner/restored shopfront vibe is really cool and relaxing. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to give recommendations. Irish coffees and screwdrivers started off the day perfectly. We got the Jefe breakfast burrito and the chicken and waffles. We shared the plates and loved every bite! Highly recommend both plates. Great portions and flavors. The hot pepper syrup for the waffle and chicken was a great pop.
Stop in here for any meal. I’m sure lunch and dinner are great. We’ll be back to try their “Varsity” (boozy) milkshakes.
Enjoyed ourselves very much. All the employees are update, polite and personable. Food was amazing and the drinks always appeared when needed. Will be back again and again.
Service was excellent! The food was amazing! I have been here a couple of times before but did not remember just how good the food really is! The burgers are about the best there is! We were a party of 4 and each of us got something different off the menu and each of us really enjoyed our meal!
Such a cute restaurant. Food was great. Service was fantastic. Drinks were “ lit “ . First time here in town. Loved everything about it
Great music , great food and atmosphere , would definitely be retuning
Ever changing menu, great (and interesting) food, very friendly server, and a very nice experience. Covid-19 precautions in place as menus, plating, etc.
We love Max's eatery and the food and service never disappoints. We moved to Lancaster from MD last summer and Max's quickly became one of our favorite restaurants because we always feel so welcomed and the food is phenomenal!
Really delicious, great service. I was reluctant to go, but I'll be back. Chicken and waffles was the bomb!!
Loved the diner atmosphere. Food and service were terrific.
Small menu that they do well. My only negative is the prices. It’s a bit overpriced though considering it’s served in foil containers with plastic forks. $16 for a double burger feels like a stretch, especially when you have to pay more to put a slice of cheese on it. Would come back just to get some drinks and apps.
Night out with my daughter
Our server was great! The menu was small, food was average. I ordered a summer salad and it was just a basic salad you would get from any restaurant. Drinks were good. They had a nice beer selection, different from most restaurants in Lancaster which I did enjoy.
It was nice, good food.
My sons birthday they sang him happy bday and made them feel awesome. And even my autistic son wants to come back again. Very pleasant
Great first time. Food was good, we wanted brunch and we got it. I ordered a milkshake to go and it was delicious.
I tried Max when it just opened and wasn’t that impressed so I thought almost 2 years have passed let’s try it again. My family was intown and was thankful for the reservations due to covid but the milkshakes are half whipped cream for the price. And the prices are high for the quality.
There was a few mix ups with our orders but to be honest I have grace because everyone’s in masks and trying to get through this together.
All in all. Cute place for a hangout with friends. Not a fan of the food.
We were seated promptly and greeted very nicely and professionally. The hostess made sure we liked the table we were seated at and inquired if we had any special needs, allergies or other needs. Our drinks were unique and delicious. The food was brilliant with that special Max’s twist. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and delicious meal. We enjoyed excellent service from Christina and Austin. We’ll be back.
Delicious food, polite friendly staff. Enjoyed ourselves very much, will visit again.
This was my first time dinning out post-Covid and I was really impressed at how Max’s was setup for easy social distancing and peace of mind. Everything that came to our table was single service and the menu was available via QR code. The service was excellent as always and our server Karen was very well trained in social distance serving. The food was exceptional, again as always. The menu was a comfortable mix of old favorites and new fabulous sounding additions. Everything we had was wonderful! I will happily return to Max’s during these strange times, knowing I’ll be in a welcoming and safe environment to enjoy some of my favorite grub! Thanks Guys!
Max's Eatery is one of our favorite restaurants and we were so happy to be able to eat indoors safely. They have adapted to the "new" normal in this time of COVID-19 and we felt safe and the food was, as always, amazing! We can't wait to go back!
Staff was so accommodating and professional, place was clean and following CDC guidelines, food was outstanding. The milkshakes are AMAZING
The food is consistently good and service outstanding. Very friendly group of people.
Excellent food, excellent service, & very reasonable pricing!
Absolutely love Max's. The food was delicious. The servers and host did a great job of social distancing. The staff were all wearing their masks. We love Max's.
Brunch at Max’s was great! The food was filling and the decor is perfect for memory photos and a good time with friends!
enjoyed our dinner. We were seated right away. very good server.
We had a fabulous lunch before a Fulton show. Great food, great drinks and great service!!
Excellent choice for family-friendly dining that is fast & fun! New, expanded menu was needed and definitely a great step in the right direction. Servers are friendly and efficient. Definitely a good addition to downtown. We will return :)
Delicious food. Server was very helpful and friendly
