Max’s is regarded as one of the finest restaurants in the Central Valley. Our rustic California Cuisine and Gallery setting features local artist Tomas Panzarino. Max’s has welcomed Fresno visitors and our local neighbors for over 10 years. A little too noise for our jars of hearing older guests. Swordfish was excellent t as were salads.

Very slow service. Food average. The cauliflower appetizer was disgusting. Over ten minutes to get the beer and server had to be asked after ten minutes. Place is really busy so I guess people think it is good....

I had this place on our list 'to try'. It was a bit further west than expected but well worth the drive. It was a bit noisy but they were able to satisfy our request for a quiet area in their small, side room toward the back. The food was good. Service was exceptional.

The facility was cold we wore jackets. Steak and cesare salad good, specials unappetizing taste and look. Service little slow. Didn't recognize a birthday celebration. Not exciting like I anticipated.

Neither entree was special in any way, un-inspired. Even the bread was sub par. Not our usual experience at this restaurant.
