Everything about Maxette is A+ except the temperature. I went during the heatwave and the door was propped open . It was definitely way too warm in the dining area.

Best food in Murray Hill, hands down. The staff are friendly and helpful (and very funny). The drinks are delicious, and did I mention it’s absolutely delicious?

The service was excellent. We had a tasty croquettes, great smash burger, tender hanger steak chimichurri and fried chicken sandwich. We enjoyed our meal. Nice to have this place in our neighborhood.

My friend found two hairs in her plate. We told the waiter and he very graciously got her a new dish. Everything was extremely salty. My avocado toast was very plain and I also found a small hair at the end.

Nice new neighborhood place. Limited menu will need to expand/change if they want people in the neighborhood to keep coming back. More vegetarian options would be welcomed.

Maxette is a nice little cafe and bar. We ate dinner on a weeknight when there were only a few customers. Our waitress was attentive. The menu is a bit limited, especially the desserts, but the food was good and reasonably priced.
