Max - Tribeca
One simple recommendation I would make is not to drown the pasta in sauce. The lasagna is a perfect example, as it comes out in a crockpot (odd), but it makes sense because there is so much sauce, if it was on a plate, it would be a blob of liquid spilling over the sides. The appetizers were good.
This is hands down our favorite local place in Tribeca. We moved out of the neighborhood but swing by last night because we were in town. The food is consistently delicious and you cannot beat the fettuccini in Max’s sauce. It’s simply the best.
I wrote a more specific review on Yelp, but cannot tell everyone enough what a joy it is to have found Max. My husband and I live in the area and went for the first time a few weeks ago... our waiter Leo was terrific, helpful and accommodating... everything ordered was fabulous.
I brought a girlfriend for dinner last weekend and she felt the same way... my husband requested I bring an order of the meatballs home for him- the meatballs are enormous and that that good.
Reservations already made for next week.. so many dining choices in the area, when you find one that on point go with it!
Looking forward to seeing you soon Max.
The staff and proprietors could not be better. The food is always delicious. Great, local, neighborhood gem.
Absolutely delicious every thing in the menu, difficult to choose, The burrata and the melanzane are a must!
We live in the neighborhood and have heard great things about Max for years, but this was our first time dining here. What a local gem this place is...the food was delicious, the outdoor dining area is well done and the service is wonderful. We will be back!
Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. Food is consistently delicious, and the service is warm and friendly.
Max Tribeca is one of the best restaurants in the city. Great food and a great value. Service is exceptional.
Highly recommend Max’s! One of the best places in the neighborhood and not overpriced like so many of its neighbors. Most recently, our party of 8 (including 5 kids) sat outside and ordered a variety of dishes, including the leek and potato soup, the gnocchi, the bolognaise, and the fish special. They were all outstanding but my favorite was oricchiette with sausage and spicy garlic. The hostess (the sister of the owner) could not have been friendlier or more gracious (or more patient with our kids). Every time we visit we leave happy and satisfied.
Great food. Very hospitable.
Great food and service!!!
What a little Tribeca gem - authentic food and service .
Everything was excellent as it always is. Roseanna is a great host restaurateur.
Food was not as advertised; for example arrabiata sauce in lieu of vodka sauce on lobster ravioli. Food not tasty.
Vongole snd calamari were delicious. Attentive service. Definitely going back.
Food was fresh and delicious and came quickly. Will be back.
It’s it private and away from walkers on the street
Seriously BEST Italian food in the city!!
The fettuccine and gnocchi were both great
Perfectly cooked al dente carbonara. Nice selection of cocktails. Great outdoor ambiance.
We went to dinner here for a birthday celebration. I called to notify the staff that we would be late due to traffic and they were so nice over the phone. We were reassured our reservation would still be honored. We ended up 15 minutes late but were greeted so nicely. We were seated and had a phenomenal experience. Friendly waitstaff who provided great service, delicious food and drink, and all things considered a very nice ambience. We will definitely add this to the list of go to’s!
Best truffle ravioli I’ve ever had.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in nyc!
Very attentive and kind. Delicious food and just a great outdoor experience!
One of the few places with a full menu right now
The food and drinks were incredible! Best bruschetta I’ve ever had. The servers were also really nice. I’ll definitely stop by again soon.
Great food service. Followed CDC recommendations.
Max's was amazing! Amazing wine and AMAZING pasta! Also amazing dessert 10/10 expereiences
I was not impressed by anything except the quaint space. Meatballs tasted burnt, soup was basically broth, Bruschetta was soggy, and the pasta tasted like I'd boiled it myself. On top of that the service was so unbelievably slow seeing as how they were not busy at all. I might give it one more chance since some of the other menu items looked good, but there are much better places in the city.
Super good fresh food ! Nice staff!
Amazing meal! Service was great!
Great food. Amazing service!
Incredible pasta! Cute, quaint and friendly.
Every time I’ve been here, is a great experience! Great vibe, friendly staff, delicious food!
Everytime we are in the city we make it a point to eat at Max. It is by far our favorite Italian and is delicious and consistent every. single. time! Never disappoints.
This place has exceptional food and a great atmosphere. Staff is friendly and caring throughout your stay. The overall size of the restaurant is a bit small, however, and can get just a little too loud if there are lots of people there. Don’t let that discourage you from the eating here because it’s definitely worth it!
Max never disappoints! It was a great experience and the food was delicious. The service was extremely good. Everybody were so accommodating. The noise level wasn’t too loud, so we were able to have a conversation without yelling. I was very happy.
Early valentines weekend
Such a nice staff and delicious pasta!!
Reliable Southern Italian menu, nice ambiance (tho it can get a little loud, depending on your table neighbors) , comfortable and unpretentious.
