Disappointing experience for a returning client. My part had tuna poke as an appetizer. We were charged $15.00 for a few fried wantons and a thimble of tuna. Salmon entree was over cooked.

Overall a nice dining experience. We will definitely be returning....

Went there on a Saturday early for the Lobster Special. My Fiance had never had a true whole lobster before; so wanted me to show her how to eat the best bug in the ocean. (I'm from New England, so this is the National Dish) Max says they are available until they run out; but the waitress said that rarely happens. The lobster is broiled, not boiled, just so you know.
The special come with 1 side. My fiance had the cauliflower, I had the risotto. Both were excellent. We also had the mussels as an app. A go-to for many of our nights out. Max was one of the tops
I think this is one of the best seafood restaurant deals in Denver. Great food, very reasonable price with good service and great ambiance

First time to eat at this restaurant. Joseph was an excellent server. Enjoyed our meals although the wonderful French fries were way too abundant. Unnecessary to serve that many fries per person. We

The food was overpriced and not that good. You only got 3 scallops for $26. Also, our food was cold, and two people in the group got the wrong sides. Unfortunately, I would not come back here.

The bar was very noisy, but it was St. Patrick’s Day. We sat in the back, very nice and quiet. Try the bread pudding, best in town!

Always a great experience

Max's is a local restaurant for us, but worth the trip from anywhere in the city. It's good, fresh food with a bit of comfort food feel. Not too expensive and the wine is affordable. We eat here regularly, love the atmosphere. Friendly and helpful

Went here for a birthday lunch on a Sunday! Making the reservation ahead of time was great, we had no trouble getting in and getting seated. We sat in the back with our 6 person group which gave us some great space and it wasn't so loud. The food was awesome, I had the lobster flat bread and a cup of the shrimp bisque! Everyone else's breakfast meals looked fantastic and they all ate them up! Will def. come back for another lunch or dinner!

Having never been in Denver before I needed to find a nice restaurant that we could celebrate a birthday and get together with friends. I stumbled across Max Gill and Grill and could not have been more pleased! Our server Emily was absolutely fantastic the food was exquisite, a perfect place for anyone

the seating seems to be a little tight but we were there at Prime Time. We have been there several times and have been satisfied very well over the years.

My Old Fashion cocktail left a lot to be desired, but the food was great, especially for the Restaurant Week price of $25 for 3 courses.

Unfortunately they did not have visibility to our reservation but still seated us. Service was exceptional especially considering it was the last night of restaurant week. We will be back!!

My friend and I went to Max’s during restaurant week, although she does not like fish because she doesn’t like the smell. She remarked that there was no fish odor (I had the tuna poke, which was delicious, and the crab-crusted tilapia with seasonal vegetables was outstanding). She said the ribs were great, and the french fries were done perfectly. We both had the chocolate creme brûlée, which was perfect.
This was our first time dining at Max’s and we both agreed that we will definitely come back.

Booked the reservation on Open Table as we walked around Wash Lake. Our server, Joseph, was wonderful, knowledgeable and great to chat with. He was handling a busy afternoon with total ease and we enjoyed talking with him about seafood styles .. and travels. We were impressed with the flavorful food and plan to be back soon and often. The owner has this great concept and it is reflected in the lively atmosphere and the delicious offerings.

We enjoyed a fun and tasty meal (spouse and adult offspring) with excellent, attentive services and a good deal during Restaurant week. We had not been here in years (since the name was changed) and were not disappointed.

All around, top to bottom amazing! Joe was a great server and Kevin was excellent. We will definitely be back. The calamari was superb and the sirloin was cooked to perfection. This is a great place for any occasion and multiple visits. Thank you so much to all the staff!

The food was great, enjoyed by all. The waitperson was either totally untrained and should have been assisted by an experienced person or just really bad in every way.

We went for Restaurant week. Service was very good and the portions for this event at the price point were plentiful. We really enjoyed the mahi mahi main dish - excellent flavorings with a slight kick. The steak option for this event was a little dry overall. I would definitely return for the fish!

Went for Restaurant week. Our server made sure to get our drinks in before happy hour was over even though we weren’t aware it was happy hour. The fish was delicious, well cooked and flavorful. Everything cane out quickly and the server had good recommendations.

The food was incredible. The only drawback was our waitress, who was really clueless...It put a damper on the meal, but we still had a good time and enjoyed the food. We will return, but will make sure not to get the same waitress

Food was good, place was cute, the service was a little inattentive and slow but the servers were very nice.

The variability of items offered was quite complete. I chose the Kona rubbed sirloin, my wife chose the Mahi Mahi, both of which we shared and both of which we agreed were outstanding. Service was very efficient and pleasant.
