Always quality food
Delicious watermelon salad and grilled monkfish
Halibut was over cooked and dried out
Octopus no flavor
Went for lunch. Had a delicious lobster roll. Great atmosphere, great service. Will definitely go back.
Max Fish, Glastonbury, is always a wonderful night out! Our server, Elizabeth, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us a wonderful dinner service! My wife had the lobster bisque, which she said is one of the best she's ever had! I had the scallop ceviche, which was equally delicious. For entrees, my wife had the grilled Hidden Fjord salmon with basil mashed potatoes and she found it delectable. I had the za'atar crusted tuna, and didn't know how it'd pair with tzatziki, but it was out of this world! The chefs routinely introduce new and inventive dishes, which we very much enjoy. We ended the evening with a "hot fudge to the MAX" sundae, which we recommend to be shared for two, it was that big (and good).
A fan of bouillabaisse, I thought the best I ever had was in Brussels.
The bouillabaisse I had at Max Fish was every bit as good. First rate!
Daughter heading back to Africa.
Great Lunch. Noise level too high. It was difficult to hear the waitress.
Foos was great....from specials to entree!
Wonderful dining experience for a friends get together. The food and service were very good and we will visit this restaurant again very soon.
Fabulous food and service. Best seafood and waiters around!
One of my favorite restaurants! Food is always excellent!
Food and service always make Max Fish a great destination. Attentive and responsive wait staff add to the pleasure.
Excellent service, meal and dining area. Very good value for Lobsterfest.
Hope they offer it again this summer.
Max Fish is one of our favorites and it never disappoints.
Everything was great except for the octopus. We usually get it because we love it but
Last Saturday it was very very tough. We ate most of it but some of it was not edible.
Told the waitress.
Ordered a $40 bottle of white wine it was not chilled. It was extremely warm in restaurant. The menu stated it had baked stuffed shrimp , ordered it & then they said that they didn’t have it . Changed my order & then they came back & said that they could make it because they were slow in the kitchen. Will not go back.
We enjoyed our lobster dinner which was a special . Service was great. Very enjoyable evening.
Lunch was very tasty! Fish & chips were great. Coconut sorbet was divine!
We went for the 4th of July special lobster dinner. It was excellent and we enjoyed the experience very much. It was not noisy or crowded. The food was very good, especially the dessert! The highlight was the service; our waitperson was fantastic--extremely knowledgeable and friendly/attentive. She made the dinner a 10!
Excellent and pleasant service. Food was great as usual. Super fresh oysters. Wonderful dinner.
Had an amazing meal, as usual and best service with one of our favorites, Meghan!
The oysters were fabulous!
Awesome, our server Greg was 1st class. Please ask for Greg!!!
First time at Max Fish and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The servers were attentive and friendly and the food was served at a reasonable pace. There were no long waits before each course, the food was warm, and the portions were generous. The food itself was amazing. We look forward to our next meal at Max Fish.
Dinner was wonderful as always. Thanks for great service as well. Be back soon
Only complaint the picked lobster portion very small!!!
The menu is nicely focused on what I would expect a seafood restaurant of this reputation to offer--seafood-based offerings of inventive pairings. Indeed, the two entrees we ordered admirably delivered. I tried their Bouillabaisse, which was generously stocked with white fish, plump mussels, shrimp, and clams. In sheer volume of seafood alone, Bouillabaisse delighted. The saffron flavour was a little too delicate to play much of a part in the flavour pallet--lost to the overpowering rouille, which might have been more sparingly introduced. Both of our desserts, the chocolate mouse cake and creme brulee were each superbly executed.
Usually an excellent spot, have overcooked the fish the last couple of visits.
It was a great experience
Waitress (Alex) was top notch. Oysters were shucked impeccably. The hot fudge sundae was insane with caramel used bananas. Loved the Lobster Cobb salad mostly. All the toppings were first rate. But, and it’s a big but, the greens were very gritty. With all the care they put into everything else, improperly washed greens is a little unforgivable. I notified the waitress who thanked me for letting her know, but nothing was done to compensate us for the sandy greens.
The food was great. Our food came out pretty quick. I recomend the halibut.
Arrived early for our 5:00 reservation and was delighted to find there is a Saturday HH until 6:00. Had a drink at the bar and then were seated on the patio. Greg our server was attentive, personable and an all around plus to the evening. The food was awesome. Lobster pan fry and lobster and shellfish highly recommended. Hot fudge to the Max was the perfect finish. And don’t skip the clam chowder.
We enjoyed our meal so much that we're returning to dine again with the same friends (and another couple) in just two weeks. We've decided to dine off hours--at 5 pm--since even in the dining room, it got too noisy for us.
We found Max Fish to be a really nice place to dine. Very happy to see it was open late as we had only gotten to our hotel past 7:30 PM. Food was very good, and service was awesome too.
Ate dinner with a friend and woke up at 12:30 at night violently sick. I ordered the Scottish Salom. This continued for the next few days, will never be eating at Max Fish again.
Max Fish was a wonderful dining experience, as always!
Server was Personable. Sat in the back room where there is a flatscreen TV set up for meetings. Great experience
We were two couples (Grandparents and Parents) and a 2year 3 month old Grandson. Ordered our meal at two o'clock. An eight top came in about ten minutes after us and they received complete appetizers and meal service before we ever got our food which took about 1 hour. Really difficult with a toddler. Waitress came over once to say that "sorry for the delay but food would be out shortly". Still took another 20 minutes for food to be served at 3 o'clock. NOT FUN.
Ford and everything was perfect. Will definitely be back.
Everything was excellent, as usual. Didn’t love the table, it was very close to another couple. I could hear their entire conversation, and was not interested!
Fabulous halibut and a dynamite bouillabaisse chock full of seafood and as always excellent service
