I would not recommend making a reservation here to watch a sporting event. Chances are they will give your table away regardless of the reservation!

We made a reservation and because it was so busy upstairs we got seated downstairs. It was early in the day so we preferred to be upstairs as it is dark and noisy downstairs but service was quick considering how busy they were. Food was good and drinks were prompt. Game On is lively and a lot of fun on game day. I highly recommend it.

Was seriously disappointed after having made my reservation a week in advance (at the time of purchased ALCS Game 3 tickets) to show up for my reservation and be told I couldn't be accommodated and that management shut down reservations. I asked when and why because I hadn't received any notifications (which would have been helpful in making a reservation elsewhere since hello, ALCS game 3 and driving an hour from out of town). No answer given but offered to put me on the two hour waiting list. What could I do? I had the hostess put me on the waiting list with zero hope of getting a text. Imagine my surprise when I did at approx an hour to game start. I was two blocks over and informed the hostess I was sprinting there. Again, zero hope my table would be held. Once again, pleasantly surprised (it took me 5 minutes to get there) that my table was ready and waiting. This turned the night around considerably - there were no tables to be had in a 5 block radius and we were hungry! I'm happy things worked out but will be hesitant to book again in future especially with not receiving notification that my reservation wouldn't be honored.

Made a reservation secured by credit card with a $15 penalty per person for no show and 15 minute minute for arrival . We arrive 10 minutes early to be told no tables available and at least a 30 minutes . Finally got seated after 30 minutes no apologies offered and the table was filthy . Seems unfair what about my compensation to wait ? Defeats purpose of a reservation. Pizza was very good but there are way too many other better options to eat nearby .

I made a reservation for 12:45 and was seated at 3:00 PM. They took my credit card down for the reservation to “hold the table”, and also threatened that I’d be charged $15/person if I was more than 10 minutes late. The hostess stand had no answers. Stop taking reservations on game days if it’s so difficult to honor them.

Made a reservation on OpenTable and received a confirmation email. I called the restaurant the next day to confirm the reservation. I was told that they did not have my reservation as they do not check OpenTable and only accept reservations over the phone. Incredibly misleading to have a link on their website to make reservations through OpenTable but not honor those reservations.

I’m not sure why Game On takes reservations when there are Fenway events - as you can see by the scores of reviews that say the same thing they do not honor them. The only good thing is that I learned that even though they require a credit card they don’t dare charge anyone that doesn’t show up. That’s probably because they don’t even bother to check in folks with reservations. The restaurant has typical ballpark fare and personally I like the atmosphere and food and drink if that’s what you are in the mood for. But their lack of any effort to make customers happy means I will choose someplace else in the future. There’s lots of options…

We went to Game On prior to seeing a Red Sox game on Friday night. I was thrilled to book the table but then was concerned after reading reviews about Game On not honoring Open Table reservations. I'm happy to report that we had no problem whatsoever!!! Reservation was for four people at 5:45. We arrived at 5:15 and were seated right away while we waited for the others to arrive. Service was excellent and food was very good.

I made reservations, however when we arrived we were told that they don’t accept Open Table reservations, and we were unlikely to be seated. Very disappointing because I was with a friend who isn’t able to stand for long periods of time (which is why I got reservations in the first place). If reservations are made via the app, they should be honored, not changed without notification.

We had a 5pm reservation as we had a 6pm concert at Fenway. When we arrived we were told they will call us at 5:30 for our 5pm reservation. Ironically it is 3 days later and I’m still waiting to hear that our table is ready.

Although they called to confirm my reservation a day before, they did not honor it. The host laughed at us when we walked in and said we would likely not get a table, but she still took down my name and number for her list. Many people at tables were not even eating still, but just sitting and waiting to leave for the show - the restaurant could have easily asked them to move to the bar area in order to let other guests get sat to eat. We were so hungry we waited until most of the crowd left for the concert. Even after everyone left for the concert, the host did not make any effort to call us or seat us. We had to go back up and they basically let us seat ourselves at a dirty table. Once seated it took a while but our server was great. The main problem we had was the host and her lack of professionalism and the restaurant's ability to honor reservations.

We made a reservation to get there and be told there were no tables. We found a table, the waitress was very slow. It then took almost an hour until we could ask where our pizza was. We were then told another 20 mins. So we had no table and nothing to eat. Unacceptable

They took reservations for 8/4 Billy Joel concert at Fenway. No intention of ever honoring any reservations. EVERYONE was mad. I could have made reservations at a dozen other places that Actually know what the hell they are doing. Made many enemy’s and got crushed on social media. Thanks for NOTHING!

Made a reservation and it was held with a credit card through Open Table. I called the restaurant day of to confirm reservation, which they did. We showed up 15 minutes early and were put in a line with people who had no reservation. I asked three different employees that I had a reservation and they all told me to wait in line. Before we got to the front, we were told that we were full. I showed them my reservation and two hostesses told me there was nothing they could do. They tried to tell me that they have tried to get off open table. I told them that I confirmed with the restaurant and they said they couldn't help. I asked to speak with a manager and both hostesses told me management doesn't care. The young hourly staff deal with all the complaints and the managers don't deal with customers at all. How can you take a credit card and not honor a reservation? Someone at Open Table or Game On needs to do something to make this right. Not that Game On needs my business because they are attached to Fenway Park, but I will never visit again. Worst experience ever dealing with a restaurant

Menu was terrible to begin with, very limited options. No burger, no chicken fingers, we ordered nachos which came out burnt to a crisp, and a cheese pizza. The check presented was incorrect, when I told the server he offered to bring the items we were mischarged for as we were leaving.

Even though Open Table let's you make a reservation before a Red Sox game, when you get to Game On, they tell you that you cant make a reservation. It was crazy, you think you have a reservation and then once you get to the restaurant, you are told you actually don't. I have never experienced this before.
