Winner, winner ... the chicken dinner entree was amazingly delicious! And the tiramisu never disappoints! YUM-LICIOUS!

It was okay..pretty packed and good service. The food was okay and one of their desserts was impressive. One of the participants noted that the halibut was good. 'Had the salmon and it was good, but nothing to write home about

Disappointed. We are a Max regular. Definitely not up to Max standards. Had the Toscana salad with Salmon. Salad tasted like it was pre made and left in the cooler until needed. Greens were wilted and almost like freezer burned. Salmon was under cooked. Waiter did not ask how we preferred the salmon cooked prior to and then afterwards just stated that’s how we grill it “medium”. Also had the braised beef and gnocchi. Braised beef was good. Gnocchi was tender. Cheese sauce was runny and frankly tasted similar to Kraft.

Another cozy lunch at one of my favorite places. I’m always happy to come to Max Amore, eat delicious food and linger with my friends.

I’ve loved every Max restaurant I’ve been to so I figured this one would be no different. The instant we arrived, our server seemed so inconvenienced by our presence. I have no idea why, but i felt like a nuisance to her every time she came and asked if we needed anything or when we ordered our food. The service was fine, nothing notable happened, but no one was particularly friendly, either. The food was good and the portions were a reasonable size - not giant with tons of leftovers but also enough to fill you up. We enjoyed the meal, but we won’t be going back.

Sad to say, this was a disappointing dinner. Food prep was definitely not up to what I consider good. House made pasta was tough, stone pie excellent, fried eggplant bland. 31 layer lasagna was all noodle, no discernible ricotta or other filling, blueberry bread pudding delicious but barely warm.

My lunch guest was elderly and had a difficult time walking and standing. The hostess had no recognition of this fact and left us standing an unreasonable time period while slowly seating others. She was not able to recognize the issue and equally unable or unwilling to address it.

We tried the grilled octopus which was very tasty and the artichokes for appetizers - excellent. I enjoyed my salmon & my son really liked the gnocchi. We each had our favorite dessert. Tiramisu and Creme brûlée - always great! Always happy with the food here

Visited for Easter as the kids were away so it was just the two of us. Since the Bruins were on we decided to eat at the bar.
Comfortable and inviting. Great service. Great value for the price. Very pleased.

I’ve been dining at Max Amore since it opened many years ago. I’ve enjoyed the changes in the menu over the years. Their Toscana salad is still my favorite salad of all time! Occasionally I get it topped with salmon! WOW! They have a wonderful bar area ask for Jeff and even an outdoor patio area during the warmer months! From their Italian dishes to NY strip steak to stone pies. Their is always something scrumptious waiting for you at Max Amore! This restaurant gets a very rarely given five stars of David!

I've been going to Max Amore's for years -- it's a favorite for good, dependable Italian fare -- but my visit this week wasn't up to par. The service was inconsistent -- our waiter was either rushing us to place our order or non-existent. He didn't know the menu (when we asked questions) and seemed very focused on selling us more wine, but never brought us bread or the broccoli rabe we ordered. We had a lengthy gap between our salad and entree ... not a big deal as we were talking, but we watched several other parties (who were seated after us) get their meals before our waiter finally came over to say ours would be out soon. Was the kitchen backed up or did he forgot to put our order in? Then the pasta itself was just so-so (we got the Bombolotti --normally a favorite -- and while the top was crusty and baked the sauce underneath was watery -- almost like they dumped pasta in with too much cooking liquid and it didn't have time to evaporate or mix). Will I run back to Max's tomorrow? No. Will I give them another try in the future? Yes ... as I'm hoping this was just an off-night and not a sign or declining food & service.

Went for my daughter's birthday, two of the dishes (both pasta) were not hot when they arrived. My son was starving so ate his lukewarm (his fault for not returning) but my husband had to have his heated up. My dish was delicious, scallops w/spinach & polenta.
Service was good, not outstanding. Had to ask for bread.

Regularly go to this restaurant for good food and service, nice atmosphere, and pricing consistent with the quality of the food/service. Veal tenderloin, scallops, Max a Penne, and bolognese were the main selections-- all excellent-- as were the salad and dessert.

My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner one night and everything was great!! The bread with roasted garlic and tomato oil was really good as a start. We had meatballs for an appetizer, which were delicious, though we did think the dish could have used a little more sauce. For drinks, he had the Manhattan 140 and I tried the cats meow. Both were good, but I felt like my drink could have had a twinge of something else like dash of soda or a bit more of an orange flavor. My boyfriend got the chicken parm and I had the linguini e prosciutto. Both were excellent and did not disappoint. For dessert we had the creme brûlée which was also very very good. I would certainly come here again, and will recommend this restaurant to others!

Very disappointing. I was first served soup that was barely warm, I had to send back. My lunch, Salmon served over arugula and grains was so salty I could barely eat it. The waitress was never available, probably because she was helping with a large party. Therefore, she never stopped by to ask about our lunch. I ate what was edible and left the "very salty" remaining salad. Considering it was 2:00,the lunch rush was long past and we deserved better service. Frankly, I believe the Max Group restaurants have really declined in quality of both Food and Service. Sad !

Of course it being the Saturday after Valentine’s Day, the restaurant was very busy. We just happened to notice that the service seemed a bit rushed and was not our usual experience there. At one point dishes went crashing to the ground and it seemed as though the waiters and waitresses were banging into each other. Next time, we will stay in doors around Valentine’s Day.
