Great experience and food was fabulous
Birthday dinner and all four of us loved our dinner and dessert!
We had a great meal at Max Amore! Service is always great at the Max restaurants. It was a little loud but we could still have a conversation. Eggplant appetizer was yummy!
We’ll be back.
Great ambience and food, my first visit to max amore and worth it
Amazing. The food was delicious but the service put it at another level. Even on Valentine’s Day! Thanks for a great meal to celebrate our anniversary!
Wonderful place. The service and food were both excellent. We were never rushed and had an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Had a wonderful family birthday dinner! Great food and service!
Our server was very good kept water and coffee filled knew the menu well very solicitous. The polenta pancakes w pomegranate didnt thrill the 2 that ordered them, their over easy eggs were over hard, the short rib hash was salty. The Italian omelette came w hash browns that had beets in it. Not appreciated at all.
We had been to restaurant twice during the summer and liked the summer menu more.
Food was good. Restaurant bathroom (women’s and part of men’s) was flooded and we were allowed to use Max Fish’s bathroom.
Last minute decision to go for lunch, very enjoyable. Food is always delicious. Service was good, even though it was very busy time.
Dinner with girlfriends was very nice. Food was delicious, although it was rather loud and hard to hear ourselves.
Was my wife’s birthday and we hadn’t been there since the new executive chef took over when Ted left. Food was excellent- 30 layer lasagna was especially wonderful. Definitely will be back soon.
We had reservations for my daughters birthday which we made in advance. We we’re seated at the very back of the restaurant in a separate room. We felt disassociated from the main vibe of the restaurant. The waiter didn’t explain much regarding the specials and I truthfully didn’t think much of it until I heard the waiter at the next table giving exquisite details to his customers. The salmon was slightly overdone and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked and crunchy. The gnocchi was bland. The bolognese was very good though. All in all not our best night there.
We had an early reservation for a Saturday evening; the restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. We had an attentive server who took care of drink orders and provided snacks almost immediately. We had a pizza we shared as an appetizer and two entrees. The food all around was very good, as were the drinks. The service was excellent. We would certainly return. The prices were fitting for the type of restaurant - it's not cheap but that's not why you're there.
Great night out, excellent food and service! Would go there again ;)
Food was good service some what slow but overall good place to dine .
Very tasty pizzas and seafood. My family loved it food we ordered. Next time we will try Max for our son birthday.
..... what’s not to LOVE about Max Amore??!! I’m soooo looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day there in a few weeks and truly hoping that your amazing chef will feature the same special entre as last year ( mushroom ragu ravioli topped with lobster and watercress, floating in a savory sauce of Coultobuono Chianti and butter - truly exceptional !!!!
We went on a Thursday, which turns out to be the night of the week that they have half priced bottles of wine. The food was amazing and the waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The noodles used for the mac and cheese could have been cooked a little more - they were on the hard side!
Same with the meal I had the Bolganese dish - not as bad though. Overall good
I’ve had lunch with friends at Max Amore many times and I’m always ready to eat there again. Comfortable atmosphere, very tasty food, and a leisurely pace.
Excellent service and outstanding food. I have found this location and food and service combo to be a no miss lunch venue.
I was very pleased with this restaurant. Warm and inviting, waiter was excellent. He was knowledgeable about how the food is prepared and recommending wine to go with the food. The food was excellent as well.
Made reservations but still took 15 min to get seated. Once seated it took 15 more minutes to be waited on. Waiting area was cramped and the open kitchen made the restaurant feel dated.
Bread came after our appetizers. That was the bad parts. Everything else was very good. Waiter was very pleasant and apologetic. Food was delicious. Generally a nice time. I would give them another shot on a slower night.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal. The service was very good.
We were disappointed by our brunch.
The table we originally given had to be changed because the server assigned had not arrived.
Two of us ordered the dishes with Hash for brunch and the hash was almost entirely potatoe with almost no meat.
When we tried to pay our check I had to get the attention of another server. Our server had tables on the other side of the restaurant and did not bother to check on us.
I had the short rib risotto, it had too many onions and was very salty. The short rib had to be cut with a knife. I sent the food back and received a new plate of the same dish. It too was terrible.
This is the second time in less than a week that I have been disappointed by a Max dining experience.
Thursday, January 3rd, was my first visit to Max Amore, and will not be my last. The dining area was well spaced so that you did not feel like you were seated on top of your neighboring diners. Our waiter, Mike, was the best. His information and insight on the menu offerings helped us to make perfect dinner choices. The wine list was extensive and full of many of our favorites. It didn't hurt that bottles of wine on Thursday were half price. Everything about Max Amore screamed top shelf. It is now my new favorite from the Max Group. We will also be returning in the near future to further explore their menu.
Great atmosphere and pleasant staff. Food was good too!
My wife and I have had three good meals here in the last year. I like the arugula salad, spaghetti with vongole has good balance of clams and chorizo, the sausage and chicken dishes are pretty good. We like Max Amore when we are heading to or from Hartford.
Our waiter was fantastic !!! He remembered from open table I had simply clicked “birthday” for my husband , and he brought out a dessert and candle free of charge ! The service was outstanding, and the food was great! The only complaint is that the two person tables are so small, they barely fit an appetizer, 2 drinks and two plates . We were constantly moving things around to make room . Other then that , it was a perfect night out without kids !
Wonderful food, good price and portion size. I enjoyed the time allowed by the waiter to figure out what to get and the interval timing when giving us our food. Good noise level and delicious food.
Terrific Caesar salad, prosciutto stone pie, plus it was Thursday and therefore half price wine day!! Great atmosphere and attentive wait staff....
As always great. This time exceptional. Try the tiramisu.
Probably the worst dinning experience we have ever had. We took two relatives for a holiday celebration that lead to one error after another. Poor wait service drink orders not complete a LONG wait for each course a mistake in 2 salad orders and the finale a pasta dish that the chef forgot to put in the pasta. The manager did come to our table but at that point we had had enough and will not return to what had been a favorite restaurant
Very relaxing evening with an old friend. Appetizer and pizza were both outstanding. Our waitress, Jessica was absolutely perfect. Checked on us periodically, but not too often. She has a great sense of humor and is very professional. She's the type of server restaurants need more of.
Had a dinner out with a good friend from junior high; the ambience, service and food could not be any better, a perfect evening!
