   I had been going here for many years and really loved the food. That all changed yesterday. We arrived a bit early for our reservation but were seated fairly promptly. I could tell that they were busy in the restaurant. We were greeted by a familiar staff member. We placed an order for a glass of wine and an Iced tea. the table was not set with silverware or plates or water. after 10 minutes, the glass of wine and nothing else. I asked the “server” about the tea. He did not respond to my request for the Iced tea. We waited for another 10 minutes. No tea, no attention or acknowledgement. We “server” returned and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered our food. I asked for the 3rd time for a glass of tea. I asked for it to be brought to the table right away. The “server” gave me complete rude flippant behavior and told me that they were over busy and not to give him attitude. “today was not the day” I told him to forget it that we were leaving. His response was: “good, just get out, we don’t want you here” I have never been treated with such disrespect. It is pathetic how some people who work in the service industry think that they can’t be bothered to actually work and do their job. This person needs to find a new line of work. Don’t waste your time here. There are many other restaurants in LA that understand the concept of a great dining experience. This place is overpriced overrated lacking even basic service. Don’t waste you time!

   Our experience was very nice. I have been several times to Mauro’s and decided it would be a perfect place to take our friend who was visiting with us. We all loved our food and my husband said let's make this our go-to place. It was a lovely evening with excellent music and good service.

    The food, and wine were great. They need to turn on the air conditioner on hot days. Also, the kitchen staff should not have their own party, sing, and talk loud, while guests are eating.

    Amazing food and service. The blueberry pancakes were phenomenal. I took my friend there for her birthday and they made it special. Casey W. was a fantastic server with such a pleasant personality. Would definitely go back.

    Great meal and atmosphere, as always. Have been coming here for lunch for 20-25 years, and dinner last night was lovely as well. Welcoming owner Evelyn and her staff, good food, easy parking, large outdoor space... It was a perfect spot to catch up with dear friends, and celebrate one of our friend's birthday.
