Maui Pasta is real treat for Italian food. Small family owned. Everything is made fresh. Besides it is a fun place to eat. Quite an interesting story of how they began. Try it, you'll like it.
It's just a terrific neighborhood pasta restaurant--they make their own pasta and sauces.
Great choices and reasonably priced. Highly recommend it!
Upon arriving I thought it was more casual than I wanted to celebrate birthdays #90, 60,56,25 and 22 out of the 7 of us at dinner. Service and staff were great. The calamari was soggy and not very tasty. I was concerned since i was the organizer of the group. Except for my son asking for chicken parm and mistakenly getting Eggplant, the food was delicious. Sauce was just right not too sweet or tangy. Portions were sufficient. Once we brought the chicken/eggplant issue to the server's attention, she took care of it and apologized. We were very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our meal and evening. We will go back again
Rachel was our server and made the experience amazing. The menu was a bit overwhelming, but the food was very good; particularly the short rib cannelloni. We walked over from the Hyatt and would return should we ever go back to the area.
David, our server, made our visit worthwhile. He was courteous yet professional and handled all of our requests. Food was great as usual. Love this place!!
What a disappointment. Have heard great things about this place and finally tried for dinner. Food was meh at best. Fried zucchini was six slim slices on a plate with some marinara sauce. We ordered appetizer meatballs but those never came. Carbonara was watery and bland. I asked for Parmesan and pepper to spruce it up. But whatever cheese they gave me was stale and ruined my dish -- so I swapped for Papardelle Bolognese - also just so so. Hubby ordered a wedge salad which was good -- but ended up arriving about 10 minutes AFTER the rest of us were served entrees. Kids mac and cheese meal was generous and my son enjoyed. Lobster ravioli was tasty but more of a paste inside vs real chunks of lobster. For all of the raves about homemade pasta, this didn't live up to my expectations. Server was nice and attentive but kitchen clearly not on par.
Food and service was fantastic!!! Server handled all of our requests courteously and professionally!! A true pleasure to have her as our server. Food was prepared perfectly and exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return.
One server covered the entire restaurant for Valentines Day. Poor planning and very slow.
Take out only due to Covid but food is outstanding.
Short rib ravioli thing, to die for!
Very simple restaurant in a small strip mall in a neighborhood. They take reservations, and at other times, a table would need them. The marinara sauce is outstanding. My husband had a veggie lasagna made up to the Chef’s choice. The tiramisu was very good. We live in Goodyear, or else we would frequent the restaurant more.
The food was fabulous!! Everything was homemade and you could really tell. They were very busy but the service was great! It is the best Italian food I have eaten in AZ. Can't wait to go back!
We loved going there. At first we thought it was a chain but then read about the story. Loved it. We will be back for sure
This is truly a hidden gem!! We love to find family owned Italian restaurants when we travel and this did not disappoint. The food is all made fresh in house and was delicious. Don’t forget to order dessert the best dark chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu!! The server was so good at her job! We will definitely be back when we visit Scottsdale!!
The shrimp scampi was not up to par - the shrimp needed more sautéing in lemon and garlic. Everything else was delightful.
Don’t judge a book by its cover , we were first unsure about going into the restaurant as the ambience was not great and a bit too bright ...we are so glad we gave it a chance...the food was amazing and the staff is very nice. Pleas give it a try you will not be disappointed!
Food was exceptional as expected, but service was not up to par. I presume our waitress was a beginner and not experienced in serving at all. Entrée was brought to the table incomplete and side dishes were also served incomplete and to incorrect parties. Having no diet Coke available nor coffee is inexcusable. Request had to be made for dessert menu which seem to have caught our waitress off guard. She asked if we wanted our checks before even asking about dessert. Having such an inexperienced waitress put dampers onOur usual good time at Maui pasta.
Their name caught our attention and we were surprised how much we enjoyed our dinner. Extensive menu and will go back.
Great local restaurant. Good value and wonderful pasta.
Wonderful place with great food and service. We always had a great time and meal here.
Always a fav place of ours to go. Maui Pasta helped make our very first Valentine's Day dinner together very special. Thank you all for the great meal. We will return!
We love Maui Pasta. The food is consistently outstanding. The staff and service are helpful and on top of it. We are regulars and always take our iut of town guests here-to raves.
The Best! We've tried many Italian restaurants in the 10 years that we've lived in Scottsdale, and this is by far The Best! Everything was so fresh tasting, and the service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Breaded Ravioli appetizer was fantastic, as were our entrees. The restaurant is very small, so either get there early or make a reservation.
We adore Maui Pasta. The closest thing to eating in Italy. Whenever we have out of town company ( who eat carbs) we take them here.
The food was delicious, the portions are large. We had a Caesar salad, the Brussel sprouts and shared the lasagna. Everything was tasty and perfect. Be sure to have a reservation. It’s a small place and fills up quickly. Enjoy.
Marinara sauce is too sweet and otherwise tasteless. Eggplant slice was thick and mushy. Won’t go back
Food and service was exceptional
It was my first time there. I had a large portion of Capellini with marinara and chicken, with a Caesar salad to go with. It was all delicious. I will be back. I think you can't go wrong with this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation- it's small.
Very impressed with this restaurant! Maui Pasta had a great menu selection that was full of amazing selections without too much irrelevant dishes to overwhelm your decision. Cocktail selections were ideal, small plates were a great filler before our meal. The service was warm, friendly and enthusiastic. Ambiance was clean, calm, bright, but not overbearing; music level was just right so you could hear the Hawaiian music in the background but wasn’t drowning our table conversation. We are certainly returning to Maui Pasta and are bringing our families next time!
Good food. Friendly service. Will definitely return.
Food is excellent. Cesar salad was served cold and crispy. Pasta was done aldente
This is the best pasta, bread, and dessert outside of Italy. The food food is excellent, the waitstaff knowledgable, pleasant, and efficient, and the artwork fabulous. Just love it.
Good food! Good prices!
The best chicken Parm in Arizona! Home made fresh pasta!
Maui Pasta has been building their reputation for a year. They start the day at 8 for all kinds of specialty coffee drinks and pastries. They stopped serving breakfast and this format fits the locals. It is not a big restaurant, but you feel the love that goes into their daily cooking. Pastas are made in that kitchen. Care is given to a variety of appetites from small dishes, salads, paninis, delicious and ample entrees at a surprising value. The flavors are a sensory delight. Read the back of the menu to find out chef/owner Patricia’s tie to Maui before coming to Scottsdale. All dishes are authentic Italian traditional dishes.
I selected Chicken Piccata with a Caesar salad with one of the freshest dressings and crisp Romaine lettuce. My friend had an ample dish of Chicken Alfredo. Tasty Italian garlic rolls with a variety of other bread offerings plus a generous glass of wine rounded out our meal. What a great neighborhood gem. It will definitely become a favorite intimate place to enjoy tasty food cooked with love!
Maui Pasta does not disappoint. The food is excellent, service is super, and we love the selection. We will return! We are on a mission to try various dishes each time we return. It is so difficult to choose, so many yummy choices! Prices are great too!
I wish it was better. While everything is home made I would have expected the flavors to be much better. While they were fresh they were mostly lackluster. The decor also needs a refresh, the chairs and tables are mostly wobbly (3 at our table) and the decor feel like a minimally refreshed former Ice cream shop. I wish it was better and could be our go to, local, freshly made Italian restaurant but it just doesn’t make the grade.
We have been here several times and love the food. All pasta is made fresh on site. We have taken friends and they loved it as well. We will be back.
Love homemade pasta! Add your sauce! Or list of entrees. Often, reservation or not, you need to wait. Not this time though. Great value!
