   We had the beet salad and pork paillarde and thought it was very tasty and light for a breaded option. Wine list is classic french. So, more minerally whites. No American style Chardonnays. Great custom drinks. though. Had a whiskey smasher and thought it was one of the best in the city. Perfect for parties of 4. If larger, may be harder to hear. All 4 loved the food.

   On this occasion, Maude's food and drink were really lacking that wow factor and we left a bit disappointed. Everything was pretty good but we didn't feel that the meal was worthy of the $200 price tag for three people, especially considering we didn't get the seafood tower. This was my second time dining at Maude's and we are regulars at the sister restaurant, Bavette's, where we always love the food and drink and enjoy the ambiance of the place a bit more. We'll stick to Bavette's in the future...

   Excellent, tasty, authentic. Came here on a whim. Will come again. The beef short ribs are to die for and I've never had such fantastic lentils. You will spend here, but is worth the splurge.

   You know when people tell you that a place is great but you don't know if you should believe them because they might just be trying to be cool and trendy, but the actual restaurant is just meh? Well, no worries here! Maude's is fantastic. Our favorite restaurant is Bavette's, so we had high hopes for Maude's and we weren't disappointed. My wife had the chicken liver mouse and she described it as perfect. I had the escargot and a Vesper and both were great but the escargot may be the best I've had in the last 20 years. I've loved escargot since I was a little kid and most places prepare it with too much garlic but Maude's had the perfect amount of garlic, salt, and lemon and the snails were cooked just perfectly. The baguette they give you to have with the escargot was an amazing compliment. We didn't have any other food here because we had reservations at Bavette's later that evening but we will definitely come back to have a whole dinner here. Outstanding!

   Oyster selection just ok - $3.50 each a little pricey. Chicken liver mousse outstanding! Brussel sprouts outstanding but a little over priced at $10.00. Roasted Chicken and carrots outstanding. Tasty cocktails well priced. Very pleasant service.

   Excellent food. The portions are huge for pretty much everything so come hungry! If you're thinking about the seafood tower at all, get it, its amazing. Maude's is dark and romantic with a business casual vibe. Excellent French cuisine with a mix of American favorites. It was a little pricey, but worth it.

   Food (as alway) was outstanding but the server didn't seem to know much about the menu and was unable to provide any tangible recommendations

   What a night to remember. The service and atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. You did not feel rushed. The Food was outstanding .. the best meal I have ever had and I am a foodie. Our waiter Ivan was knowledgeable and gracious from start to finish. This is not a place to drop in for a quick bite. This is a place to savor and enjoy all the layers of flavors they have to offer. Thank you to our Server, The culinary team, the server assistance you made our evening out spectacular.

    Maude's is absolutely spectacular! We arrived right on time for our dinner reservation and were seated within seconds at a nice, cozy corner booth. The space is dimly lit with exposed brick, making for a cool speakeasy kind of vibe. Maude's just oozes coolness. It shares some aesthetic features with its sister restaurants (Bavette's and Gilt Bar), but it has that French flair that really sets it apart. Also, this place really comes off as a hybrid between restaurant and bar, partly because I think that it does both so well. The drinks were excellent, and the food was even better. I had a Manhattan and it was perfect. For my entree I had the cassoulet and it seriously was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Not too pricey either and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Overall, after a night at Maude's it easily has become one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Go check it out!
