   A truly fantastic meal. Our group of 4 started off with the shrimp cocktail, carpaccio, Japanese Caesar and Thai steak salad. The flavors of the Thai steak salad were delicious- the Thai chilis were balanced perfectly with the cucumber and the flavor of the steak. Then had a pasta dish with meat sauce - the pasta was fresh and so flavorful. Then had a cup of bone broth, which was delicious. Tried both the New York and filet for main course, which are served sliced and at the perfect temperature. Ordered broccolini and fries for sides. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was prepared so well. The flavors of every dish were perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back!

    We had a great time. We all did the Matu dinner. The food was excellent and the staff great. Our only complaint was that our daughter wanted to try the other steak tartare on the menu and they wouldn’t swap out the tartares. Overall our experience was really good. It would have been perfect but for the one thing.

    If you are a beef lover this is the place to go. We have never had a bad meal; in fact, it keeps getting better and better. I absolutely recommend the five course tasting menu. Starting with the bone broth the meal continues to get more delicious. The beef tartare is amazing, the 47 salad with filet incredible, and the best beef cheek I have ever eaten. The ribeye to end the 5 course is the best. We always order the beef tallow fries with the beef cheek as the fries go well with the sauce that comes with the beef cheek. Wine list is outstanding, I strongly recommend the Malbec, it is one of my favorite wines. Desserts are limited - only 3 to select from, but the flourless chocolate cake is exceptional. One of the best steakhouses in Beverly Hills. It will not disappoint.

    I had eaten here twice when it first opened up i think when u go out to dinner u should be able to order steak the way you want it cooked and that is not the case here. The salads and vegetables are fabulous, drinks are great but i realize wagu steak is suppose to be more on the rare side but this was raw and they can’t recook it, the manager was very accommodating but I’ve been to some of the best steak houses in this country and i had no trouble getting the steak the way I wanted it.

    Food was absolutely amazing. Everything was made from grass-fed wagyu, so the meat was very tender. The 5-course dinner has all the signature dishes from Matu. Ambiance was great and all the staffs were attentive. 10/10 and I would definitely come back for it again soon!

    This place is truly delicious. The service was great. Nothing to complain about. When it's crowded you'll find yourself sitting a little too close to the next table, but, I suppose that's a small price to pay. I'm already dreaming about my next visit.

    The overall experience was wonderful. The restaurant’s presentation of the 18 percent fee was less than fantastic. The server was wonderful and it would have been great to be able to tip. Please focus on paying your staff above a living wage rather than explaining why you are charging customers a fee that will be taxed accordingly. The focus on the fee over the support of your staff leave a bad taste in your mouth after a lovely meal.

    It's not a BBQ restaurant, I expected Japanese BBQ grilled but it's just Japanese wagyu meat dishes and the restaurant is small not a high end but price is high end
