Great energy, attentive service, music was fantastic and the food was delicious! There were many great dishes to choose from, which is always helpful. The view from our window seat was spectacular - all in all, it was an outstanding way to celebrate our anniversary!

Food was amazing and the sunset was amazing. The restaurant space is small with high ceilings, which can make it a bit noisy, but I think that adds to the atmosphere. Service here started out really well, but did not continue throughout the meal. My husband and I opted to share an appetizer, salad and entree When we were done with the appetizer we requested new plates for the salad and our service went downhill from there. Our waitress, the hostess and the expeditor seemed a bit bent out of shape at the request. It takes the whole team in a restaurant of this size to succeed. Our next question is would I recommend this restaurant. That’s a mixed bag.

Anniversary lunch...couldn't have been better. Food was over the moon....but it was the personal touch that makes Matts a rocket to Mars. Server, owner, greeter !.....it was a sublime experience...AGAIN..

We were so pleased that Matt's could accommodate our team meeting. The staff was super helpful, friendly, and responsive. It was the best large-group dining experience I have had in a very long time. The food came out on time; there were no mistakes with the order, and everyone was well cared for. We are still talking about how much fun we had. Thanks to the staff at Matt's!

What a lovely lunch on a sunny Seattle day overlooking the Market. We loved the Dungeness crab roll with a side of seafood chowder ( to die for!) and an excellent Cobb salad. Nice wine selection too. We’ll be back

This restaurant is a good place for a Pike Place Market lunch. Windows overlook shoppers and tourists below. The menu uses local ingredients and the ambiance is casual, comfortable, and fits the "feel" of the market. There is a nice variety of lunch choices ranging from a very generous serving of clams and mussels to upscale sandwiches and salads. I think $27. for their cheeseburger is over the top. Rather than any sort of relaxed feel, it is loud and extremely busy. Tables are close to each other and servers and constantly moving them about to accommodate more or fewer people. Little attention seemed to be paid to refilling water glasses, bringing ordered beverages with the food, or checking in on how the meal was progressing. It's tasty, a vibrant spot, and has market appeal.

The prices have gone up significantly and the quality of the food way down. My husband and I both got sick after eating the seafood stew. Had to cut our evening short after spending $400 to sit on the toilet.

I love this place and with the light off Elliott Bay at sunset, it is one of the prettiest restaurant interiors in Seattle. (Like a Vermeer painting. Really.) The food is terrific and I prefer sitting at the bar. (Sometimes, that works for nonreservation drop-in if there is only one or two of you.) One idea for the manager/owner: When customers, in incremental glasses of the same wine, order the same amount as a bottle, charge them the bottle price, and not the per-glass price. In my experience, this happens when people are having a good time and stay for another unexpected round. Don't price penalize people for enjoying the space and service. Small criticism for an otherwise terrific place.

Unfortunately we were there on one of the hottest days of the year. . It's on the third floor, not air conditiond, and with only a few open windows. Celing fans helped, but I was dripping hot the whole time. Service was friendly and informed. We had a very nice bottle of pinot noir. We simply were not wowed by the food. Nothing stood out as special or particularly innovative and we felt gouged by the pricing. Kudos to the staff who worked hard under the unbearable circumstances. We simply felt that at over $700 for the two of us, it was a pretty forgettable dining experience. Perhaps under more normal Seattle conditions it would be a bit better experience but we won't be going back to find out.

Our dinner at Matt's In The Market was outstanding. The food, service, attention to detail and quality was fantastic. One slight downside, no air-conditioning on a hot summer evening for us wimpy Seattleites! Otherwise everything was just wonderful.

Food was good. Service was RUDE. Middle aged thin blonde woman with her hair pulled back was really cold and obnoxious. We ordered two bottles of wine with dinner and they wouldn’t let us sit to finish them - No one was waiting for the table! I was shocked. We stood up and stood by the bar where the bartender said we couldn’t stay either. Like seriously!? We went across the street and spent a lot more money at another establishment. this was a business dinner - nothing rowdy going on. I will NOT return here, the service we received was embarrassing. If I were the owner I’d be very upset.

Not sure what the hype is about except near the market. The place has no A/C is was 90+ at dinner. Not the cleanest place either. For the price of the limited menu and wine list we could have done much better.
