    Great location and view, delicious food. NOISY, although open windows may have contributed. I get having music for ambiance, but a little softer would facilitate conversation! Service was very prompt, attentive, and gracious.

    Matt’s remains a classic destination in the heart of Pike Place market. A friend and I realized we had not been for quite a while and enjoyed a lovely meal with a delicious scallop crudo starter and the halibut on one side of the table and salmon on the other — both were lovely. Matt’s continues to do a great job of sourcing super fresh food from the market nearby and delivering delicious plates that are well presented in an atmosphere of Seattle style dining room excellence that provides a nice balanced vibe of city regulars and tourists too.

    Usually a struggle to get in here on a nice day -- the Market is swarming. But Sunday morning this early in the Summer was fine. Food and service top notch as usual.

    We normally absolutely love Matt’s. But we usually go for lunch. Dinner was very different for some reason. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. The dinner menu was so different from lunch, mostly all seafood that was incredibly overpriced. We got cheese platter, bread, seafood stew, confit pork, and roasted beets salads. Nothing tasted amazing like it usually does at lunch time. Not sure if there were different chefs in the kitchen, or just an off night.
