The service was incredible and the restaurant has a beautiful and exciting atmosphere. However, the food was a bit disappointing. The steaks were what you would expect at any steakhouse, but everything else was disappointing. The king crab legs were flavorless, the cocktail sauce with the shrimp tasted store bought, and the desserts were not worth the calories. Bar drinks were delicious but all in all not worth the trouble especially during the construction.

This was my third time coming to Matt Winns. I brought several out of town guests and they were amazed with the ambiance and the experience. The food was stellar and we left more than full! Our server was amazing and kept us very well taken care of the whole night.

First time here and would suggest it to everyone. So beautiful and the food was amazing, my drink was awesome and very good value in my opinion. My only complaint was that it was cold in the restaurant and the lights were a little to bright. Nothing that would stop me from coming back.

Wonderful venue at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville - 6th floor over looking the race track. Professional staff. Very friendly and cordial. Great ambiance. Quiet, reserved dining. Business casual dress Wait staff was extremely knowledgable, helpful, but not obtrusive. Cocktail was excellent. Bread was fresh baked and delicious Appetizers were outstanding - crab cake was better than found in many Maryland restaurants Main course filet was excellent. NY Strip had some gristle - both cooked properly to order (med rare) Sides are table size portions - Brussel sprouts were a bit over cooked. Overall a great dining experience. The bourbon selection is incredible. $$$$ but great overall value for price.

My wife and I found the restaurant to good all around, however we found nothing to set it apart from other restaurants of it caliber. The food was good but not quite as polished as you would expect from a “ higher end “ restaurant. There spirits selection was good as well as the wines. All being stated, it is, in my humble opinion not the apotheosis of dinning in Louisville.

It was nice. No room energy, only had a few people in the building which took away from the ambiance. I think if they would dim the lights more it and had some background music lightly playing it would help when the place is empty. Food was good. Service was great.

From the greeter meeting us at the gate to a Churchill Downs with a cart to take us to the elevators, to the excellent server, it truly was a special dinner out with friends. My 4 star rating was because they were out of Sirloin Steak. For a steakhouse this was unfortunate and my guests were disappointed. Regardless, everything we ordered was well prepared, well presented, and delicious. Recommend going when you can see the track in all its glory - the view is spectacular.

Amazing experience! Food was delicious & service was excellent. I got a steak (bone in ribeye) and my gf got the pork chop and both were amazing. Highly recommend but note it is pricey but worth it
