To be honest was disappointed as had high expectations since "ChurchHill Downs"
Expected more! Drink order was not right and waiter seemed to want to hurry us.
Steaks and desert was great but not the "wow factor" we had hoped for!

I don't like writing poor reviews. Unfortunately, the entre took for too long. The food in general was not good.
Everything was outstanding. Our server, Levi, was very attentive and personable. He was timely with our drinks and very nice to talk to. The meal was amazing. From the brown butter biscuits to the scallop appetizer all the way to the really cool dessert cart with a great variety of options.
I had the bone-in ribeye and it’s the best steak I’ve ever had. The little bit of sweetness to it was unexpected but it was so great. I’m still thinking about it the next morning. The steak was so tender I actually attempted to cut it with my fork. My wife had the filet and it was also great. A really nice crust on the sear and tender in the middle. I also loved the fall old fashioned.
Just a really great meal all around and a very nice dining experience from the setting to the service. We will be back and I can’t recommend this place enough.
We had a very good time. Incredible wait staff and we appreciated her making our experience even more memorable with photos. The knowledge your staff had of the bourbon pours was amazing!

Jackson is beyond the best with making our dining experience perfect. He knows the menu, makes excellent dining recommendations, is very efficient and personable.
The wine suggestion from Mike, the sommelier, was so amazing with the meal (it’s always nice to try new wines and learn while dining). Every meal and dining experience we have had, has just been wonderful.
(Please keep the Waygu carpaccio appetizer on the menu.)

Our waiter was wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating. We were there NYE and the atmosphere was dim lights and light jazz music over the speakers. Would have hoped for a more upbeat atmosphere on NYE or decorations. The food was good but not great. For the amount of money we spent, we would have rather went to another steakhouse in Louisville.
fantastic experience! Megan was our server and she was amazing. A recommended wine from her totally hit the spot! Also, the whole experience of someone meeting you at the gate, escorting you to the building, a dedicated elevator operator was rather underrated part of the glamor that is Matt Winn's !

The experience was amazing! I felt so underdressed I had on sweats and Nike slides and thought they were going to turn me away because of a dress code but they were so very polite and the food was so delicious I will definitely be back my server Michael was fantastic!!!!
Great place just frustrated the way the night ended.
Had a little issue on price of a drink that wasn’t listed in menu but available. I know the price of the drink because I order is all the time. Tried to charge more than the price of an entire bottle for each drink which is easily accessable.
Was told a reason that just isn’t true.
Manager did come over and corrected, was very professional but still over paid.
Very slow service steaks were cold when coming out. And they were not busy that night.
Good was a little salty. Greens that came with the lamb was too vinegary. The spinach was too al dente.
Our server was fantastic and the food was exceptional. Actually, the best coffee I have had in some time which capped off a remarkable evening.
It was our second time visiting, and this time was to help a friend and celebrate their wedding proposal. Matt Wynn Steakhouse went above and beyond to help make my friends day special. Emily is hands-down the most amazing server we have ever had in our life. She went above and beyond to make everything perfect, she is a master of her craft and a special person. Also a special thanks to Jennifer Dickinson for helping arrange this. We will definitely be back soon. Food amazing as always
Disappointing. The service was sub-par and the food, while sounding elegant, was glorified track food court fare. I was embarrassed I brought out of town guests here. Skip this and go to Jeff Ruby’s.
Honestly one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. I now understand why the restaurant was absolutely dead on a Saturday evening. Took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks. We actually considered ordering a second round of drinks immediately to ensure we had drinks with our meal. The best part of the meal was the appetizers. All of them were delicious and well prepared. Drinks continued to be served slowed and at one point, incorrectly. The wines ordered were served to the wrong people at the table. Dinners came out with several sides and most were over cooked and cold. Every side dish we ordered was cold except the mac and cheese. My husband and I ordered the Halibut and both dishes were overcooked, dried-out fish and were cold by the time they reached our table. The mushroom ravioli was also served cold. The only items served for dinner that were warm and cooked correctly were the steaks. The manager was very attentive at this point, offering to fix the problems but we did not want the rest of the table to wait while our meals and sides were corrected. We intended on a nice family dinner out before our children flew home after the holiday weekend and unfortunately, this experience fell flat and it was an expensive one at that! $500. I can honestly say there was not one thing I would go back for at this restaurant. Save your money and go elsewhere or eat at home.

Your onion soup was the best I have ever tasted anywhere! Onion soup is my favorite and I’ve tried at least 25-30 different recipes. Yours - Incredible! The petite filet was by far the Best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor and tenderness, melted in my mouth. Over the top. The white cheddar grits, wow. I don’t even like grits but they were fabulous. Next time we are in Kentucky we will come to eat here and we will tell others not to miss this restaurant!!!
Great atmosphere and great service. Chef made us an off the menu tuna tartar, which was the best I’ve ever had. We ordered the wagyu short ribs to share and had plenty left over.
The service was attentive and well paced. I was there for a business dinner and the server did a great job of limiting interruptions so we could have a good conversation. The food was delicious and the cocktail menu offered a variety of choices. The dessert cart is memorable and received a few comments from my guest. My guest had never been to Louisville though, so the location and view is what stole the show.

Jackson was our server. He was knowledgeable, friendly and there whenever we needed him but then invisible any other time. His back up helpers were the same. Food was awesome. I was surprised that the lobster bisque was so spicy, but if I’d read the description I’d have known. Expect to pay “big city” prices for your cocktails. This restaurant is top notch in every category in my opinion.
First time at Matt Winns. Steaks were cooked perfectly and prepared well. Scallop app was wonderful.
Exterior lighting at parking lot entrance was non existent. Consequently, very hard to find. Golf cart service was a mess! Employees aware of the problem. Blamed fix on Churchill buerocracy intransigence.This place will never prosper if left unaddressed. Shame, because it could be a superior venue.
Amazing experience from beginning to end. There is nowhere else in the surrounding area at this level. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out.
We celebrated our 41st anniversary and had a great time. Waiter was excellent and the best we experienced in a long time. Great food, low noise level and beautiful ambiance. We will come back!

This was our first time dining here. After a full day at the track we finished by dining at Matt Winns. Our food was great, good presentation and great service. Our only critic is the cocktail we ordered was overpriced for what was in the glass, 3 sips and it was gone.
