Matisse Condesa opened its doors in 1996 as a restaurant, when the Colonia Condesa was beginning to be an important Colonia of Mexico City. The restaurant is located in a house that was abandoned in 1932. In order to open the restaurant we wanted to conserve the original architecture, including the doors, the details on the walls, beautiful glass, and wooden doors with plates of crystal. The beautiful interior patio is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the fresh air without the noise from the street.

Abre sus puertas en 1996, como restaurante, cuando la Colonia Condesa empieza a ser el solo de la ciudad de México. Fue una casa abandonada data de 1932, al rescatarla nosotros quisimos conservar su arquitectura original como puertas, realces en las paredes, hermosos vitrales, puertas de madera con hojas de cristal. Tiene un hermoso patio interior para desayunar, comer y cenar al aire libre sin las molestias que da estar en la calle.

El servicio muy malo, para todo lo que se pedía tardaban mucho tiempo en traerlo. Pasaban hasta 20 minutos y no se aparecía ningún mesero. Pedimos la cuenta y tardaron 30 minutos más para llevarla. La comida sin gran sabor... definitivamente no regreso

Reservamos una mesa para seis personas, nos ubicaron muy bien, el café muy rico, el pan más aun, los platillos que pedimos fueron de desayuno, en general bien, el ambiente es cordial, la atención del mesero fue muy eficiente. Sugiero que está atención por retirar los platos sea más cautelosa, existimos personas que nos gusta comer lento, por lo tanto el que se este acercando el mesero repetidas ocasiones para retirar los platos, resulta incómodo. Pero nuestra visita al restaurante Matisse resulto amena!

Terrible. This restaurant shouldn’t even be on this platform. It smelled like industrial cleaner, the food was terrible, the service even worse. I’m not sure how it stays open given we were one of three tables in the place. No music, ambiance or anything to speak of. Avoid!

Tenía muchas ganas de ir a comer con mi novio a ese lugar ya que sabía que lo mas delicioso es el pan; sin embargo, la atención estuvo deprimente, tuve que pedirle al mesero varias veces que me llevara el pan que tenía, le pedimos una ensalada y jamás la llevo, tardo tanto en pararse en nuestra mesa que para pagar tuve que ir directamente a la caja. Lamentablemente nos salimos del lugar y tuvimos que ir a cenar unas tortas que era lo mas cercano de donde nos encontrabamos
