Service was terrible. Maybe they didn't have enough staff, not sure. Our party of 4 ordered three drinks and only two came out. Evidently that server never put in the third drink or the bartender forgot to make it. Then we waited ridiculously long for the spinach dip which when it finally came, looked terrible. When entrees arrived, my son's sliders were missing the onion straws, because I later found they had none - Would have been nice to know this in advance. My wife's entrée was a Caesar salad rather than a cobb and the waiter acted like she did get the Cobb. Overall, the experience was undesirable.

They seem to be having some internal issues with staff/process. Not sure what is going on, but it's definitely a mess and they need to get their **it together. Our specific server was not well trained and didn't seem to have the aptitude for this role. Too many examples to note. The kitchen was not producing food. Took at least 45 min to get an app and then it was cold instead of hot. They couldn't produce a replacement app within the next 45 min before our food arrived. We got our food 1.5 hrs after we sat down and one of the items was not exactly what was ordered (the server didn't know that they don't offer that anymore). Once we escalated to the manager, he was extremely apologetic and admitted there were some issues they were working through. He made it right for us at that time which we appreciated. But I would avoid until enough time passes when they can improve their issues.

Matchbox has excellent food. The crab and avocado tower was so good. The pizza was really great. The service was mediocre. I think that the server was a little overwhelmed serving a party of six and it showed. He was slow in all aspects and we started to get a little frustrated with him. He wasn't able to multi-task at all and had to go back and forth from the kitchen too many times. He also took a long time to bring the dessert and then didn't bring any silverware. He was a nice guy and he was trying; however, they probably should have seated us in a more experience server's section. This restaurant is also very expensive. Bring back the Brunch Box!

We thought this place was great! We sat at the bar because when we arrived on time for our reservation, we were informed we would have to wait 15 minutes for our table. There were no other people waiting. But, we were on a tight schedule and I was unhappy that our reservation didn’t seem to matter. BUT! The bartender was a great guy! We had a wonderful experience with great food and drinks! The salads were fresh and the dressing was definitely homemade and delicious. The Margherita pizza was really good, I will ask for it well done next time (my preference).and the burger was cooked perfectly.

Server did not bring our drinks for a very long time. I had to order three drinks as the first 2 were not available and then he just brought a third for me to try. It was awful. Sent it back and it was still on the bill. My husband ordered a burger with swiss and it still came with cheddar. Server did not write anything down. Husband also subbed asparagus for the fries and was up charged and received four springs. My fries were like crinkle frozen fries. Salad and meals were served at the same time. Awful experience for $70.

If you’re going to advertise brunch make it better!!! There’s so many options for brunch in SoFlo and I regret booking this restaurant for Easter Sunday. Food was plain basic and underwhelming

Good was subpar, French toast undercooked, dried eggs. No silverware and had to ask for it. Original table to be seated was dirty, we had to suggest to change tables. Blue dog in Boca or first watch can do a better job. Duck in the main sitting area, entrance to restaurant and flying bugs. I get it don’t move the duck till hatching time but clean around it.

Camila our server was amazing. My husband and I had the Cobb salad. Huge and delicious. We had the small Prosciutto pizza as appetizer. WOW it was delicious 😋. Next time we’re in the area we’ll eat there again

During our dinning experience our server was rarely around our table. Other than the poor serivice the food was exceptional. We also had on our reservation someones birthday but no celebration or birthday wish. I would recomend dinning at Match Box as long as your paitent and not in a hurry to go.

Sat outside which was very comfortable given the cool weather. Service was pleasant but really slow. Appetizers were tasty but Luke warm when they arrived. Tuna Poke bowl had a poor quality tuna that was chewy and lacked flavor. Matchbox is not a go to - it was convenient and we were hungry.

I had the miso salmon with a honey munier sauce. It was absolutely fantastic. The lump crab cakes are perfect as well. They play great music, there's indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are obviously very well trained and attentive. The place is clean and all around a fun place to hang out.

I enjoyed Brunch at Matchbox. I give immense credit to the kitchen for executing each dish with expertise. Every bite from the appetizers to the entree was absolutely delicious, the service was wonderful and I would highly recommend.
