Had a wonderful experience at Matchbox. So much so that I went back the following day. My niece and nephew ordered the salmon which they loved, and I had the scallops which were amazing. We had ordered the arancini which were divine and our drinks were super tasty. Our server was polite, welcoming and very friendly. She recognized me when I went back the following day. Food and drinks were delivered promptly. I will surely go back next time I’m in the FLL area.

First time in a long time all 5 of my kids, my husband and myself cleaned our plates. My daughter loved the ribs. Said they were some of the best. 2 youngest lived the chicken tenders. Fish and chips and red snapper were also good. Outside is nice, even with the noise coming from The Wharf. Easy to find, friendly staff. Only downside, service was slow.

We loved it! I will definitely be back! My sons pizza was huge, my grilled chicken sandwich was incredibly good. Fresh food, fast service, friendly staff, very clean and modern space. Loved it.

Overall pretty decent! Considering it was Father’s Day it wasn’t too busy. We arrived way early but we’re seated immediately. Given that it wasn’t busy, the wait person could/should have been more attentive. Was more than 10 minutes between finishing meal and him coming to check on us. Did not refill drinks even though he said he would. We would have considered dessert but didn’t want to wait another 20-30 minutes. Aside from that, food was terrific with a pretty good selection. Will definitely go back!

Waffle maker broke, (no plan B in motion) ran out of potatoes on Mothers Day. Communication from server was not the best. My 1st experience there, we did the brunch and it was amazing, this experience was a major let down, both steak and eggs lacked flavor. For such good ambiance and view, management needs to revisit the menu, chefs and staff-training. My family and I will not be returning. Definitely fell way below the belt as it relates to expectations ☹️

My first time here at Matchbox, made reservation for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Delicious food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere with view of the river. Can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again.!!

Unfortunately not a great experience. We love Matchbox at their Sawgrass location and expected a similar experience in Fort Lauderdale! Seated in the back which felt like a make shift storage room. Overlooking the environment the ore-ida fries ar home would have been better then what we served. Service was fine but the food and the environment did not meet what we’ve come to expect from Matchbox. Doubtful we will return to this location.

My experience this time was better than the last time I visited. We chose this place because they accept reservations and because we enjoy outdoor dining. We happened to be there during HH and they offered reduced prices on drinks and food. There was live music alongside a lovely view riverside. We arrived about 30 minutes after our reservation time (we called so they’d know) but were still greeted cheerfully by the hostess and server and offered a prime table outdoors. The food was good (pizza, wedge salad) and priced fairly. My HH drink didn’t taste like much but those in my party who ordered wine and regular-priced drinks enjoyed them. Perfect for a pre-show meal.

Overall everything was good. Somehow our order got messed up, in a good way, and we got a large pie instead of the small. Manger came over and apologized. They charged us for the smaller. Leftovers were good the second day.

WE came to listen to the entertainment. Decided to have a meal and were pleasantly surprised. Wanted their crab soup but they were out and had chili instead and it was delicious. Then had fish and chips ,very good, and topped the meal off with a piece of chocolate cake. Superb. Only down side was the wind and noise from next door.. Highly recommended>

Happy hour prices, vegan menu options, greater server made this an enjoyable dinner prior to going to the theater. Parking was tricky but found a garage close by. Our server, Allen, was terrific in finding out info about walking from Restaurant to theatre. Great experience. Thank you.

Honestly we were very disappointed in the quality of the burgers. A little small for $18 and didn't seem like a good quality burger. The fries would have been good if they were hot but were served on the cool side.

The restaurant has items marked in red as a specialty. The entire pizza portion was marked in red. The pizza was disappointing. Underdone pizza is a crime that a good pizzeria never commits, Matchbox committed it twice! A good place for drinks, I will not eat there again.

Fun spot on the New River, we came by boat. Seated inside away from the live music outside we waited over 15 minutes to meet our server. He was new and told us upfront he was learning. The live music was cranked up inside, found that a touch annoying. The food was tasty and we enjoyed ourselves after the drinks arrived. We will return with casual unhurried expectations and will sit outside near the live music to enjoy the full experience.

Great place to have a relaxing and fun dinner before going to the theater… Five minute walk through the park! Fort Lauderdale water taxi stops right by the restaurant… Friday night has live music! I’ve always heard great things about this restaurant from my friends many said they ate from the one in Sawgrass but I decided to try this one out with my kids . The pizza was great but my husband and myself tried out the ribeye which said redskin potatoes, but we got fried potatoes! Was not satisfied with meal or service very disappointed!
