you need to seat your guests in the windows inn small groupings for now so that people 0n the outside see that you are serving

i think "fish and chips" should stay on the specials!!!! They were good

The waitress disappeared for most of the meal. One of the entres was not edible and had to be returned.

I visited Matchbox with friends for a Christmas season get together. Unfortunately I left without my umbrella. A few days later I went back to Matchbox hoping to pick up my umbrella. Our original server happened to be working and indicated he left my umbrella with the host. He went to retrieve my umbrella but returned to let me know it was gone, most likely stolen by a Matchbox employee. While it's just an umbrella, this episode left a really bad impression with me and I won't be returning nor will I recommend this particular Matchbox to anyone.

We had a delicious dinner served by a new employee, Diego. He's a natural and took good care of us.

Second time I’ve been here with poor service. I really like the food but every time we come the servers talk to one another while we are waiting for water or menus and i have to get up and walk over for service. Rude servers that clearly don’t care about customer service.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time the food was very good but the price of a pizza for $25 it’s a bit expensive I had a salmon salad that ended up costing $30 I know we’re in a time where everything is going up but I probably won’t be back

Matchbox has become my neighborhood go to. The server was excellent, the steak and frites delicious.

I am usually very pleased with Matchbox but my friend ordered the Fig and Prosciutto pizza with blue cheese. We got the pizza without the ham and without the blue cheese. She did not realize until we got it home. I asked her how her pizza was and she said not very good and not very tasty and then we looked at the leftovers and realized why it was.

The Food was not good, neither taste nor quality. The matter was brought to the attention of the manager and he took care of it.

Great menu and service for big family

Easy to get to and park, simple food, good service, friendly and prompt.

Fabulous manager. Very service oriented. Only setback was a table issue. Tried to seat 7 people at a table for 5. But finally resolved.

Mathbox is always a must visit for us when we are in DC

Service was good and timely. Food took quite a bit on a relatively non-busy time. My father’s happy hour mini burgers were cooked well done when he asked for medium. My bistro burger was cooked medium rare when I asked for it medium well. I should have sent it back but didn’t want to wait again.
My moms pizza was good

The service was really great, the food is good with something for everyone. Surprisingly good selection of interesting cocktails and wines. The fries are solid. A strong neighborhood restaurant option or maybe for a post shopping lunch or dinner.

The food was great but the service even better. Our server was very sensitive about not rushing us and even brought a nice complimentary dessert out for my friend who was celebrating her birthday. I will be coming back!

In restaurant with plenty of people doing nothing - our server seemed to have a million other responsibilities. That’s not a way to run a business. If a server is busy helping out every one else do their job everyone needs to pitch in. Food is fine. Im not running back though

Excellent menu items if you are following Weight Watchers!

Got charged for every iced tea without being told, resulting in about $35 of iced tea (absolutely ridiculous for leaf water). The service was poor. The food was not as good as the amount we were charged for it. The only good thing was the meatball. Will not return.

Food took over an hour to arrive. Clearly there is a massive staffing shortage at this location, but they continued to seat table after table after table.

Matchbox is one our favorite restaurants. Good food,a bit prcey, but not exceptionally so. Service is always excellent. Management eagerly attentive.

Pretty average experience. The ambiance is nice; however the menu is limited and the happy hour specials could be better.

I made reservations for my date and we were seated immediately. The food and our waiter was perfect.

Margaret, our server, was delightful. She anticipated our needs and was polight and friendly. The American breakfast was delicious.

A comfortable , welcoming place to have a decent meal at fair prices. The outdoor dining area is inviting and there are plenty of spaced tables inside. Worth a visit!
